Ellagee Ev'ryone Wishes for Silver and Gold

Here's something a little different than what I normally do. A look I really liked in theory, just didn't execute it that well!  I will try this out another time (New Year's Eve??) for sure and hopefully have better results, but maybe this might give someone some inspiration so I'm posting it anyway.  Here's what I came up with.

Started with a base of one coat My Vampire is Buff on thumb, middle and pinky and topped with one (maybe two) coats of Ellagee Ev'ryone Wishes for Silver and Gold.  Accent fingers are one coat each of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby and OPI This Gown Needs a Crown, no topcoat. (Really liking this look with no stamping!)

Stamped using Konad gold black pearl special polish using Apipila 01.

Here's were I messed it up...by adding too much topcoat on the pinky and it blobbed causing the stamping to smear.  It was a pretty pleasant surprise to see the golden shimmer in the stamping as it really popped when it was topcoated!

My test hand.

Love this!!!

Ev'ryone Wishes For Silver and Gold and other Ellagee products are available here!

Hope you had a fantastic weekend; thanks for looking!

Digit-al Dozen DOES It Again; Day 4, Festiveness

This is a mani I've had in archives since last Christmas as I didn't have time to post it at the time but I think it works well with the Festiveness theme....plus it doesn't seem too odd posting it now as it's not over the top Christmas-y!

Started with a base of two coats of Glitter Gal Teal Green.

Here's one coat pf Glitter Gal Teal for comparison purpose.  One coat gave pretty good coverage and I would do just the one if I was looking for a lighter shade of teal or if I was going to stamp with a full size image that was going to cover a lot of space...and it would extend my bottle of polish!

Stamped using CND Gold Chrome using BM306 (candy) and Apipila 01 (stripes).  I remember at the time being so proud of myself finally getting lines relatively lined up and not all wobbly as sometimes happen with straight line images like this!

Another pix as it shows the holo underneath a little better!

Here's the other ladies Festiveness mani's!

Don't forget that the Digit-al Dozen is having a Giveaway....for more information and to enter, please go here!

Stars

I've had this mani in archives for almost two months so thought I'd share as part of the blues-posting-fest in support of Autism Awareness for April.  I have enough mani's archived now to do a blue mani post every day between now and the 30th but the kicker will be if I have enough time to do type up the posts to go along with them!  I guess if I don't get around to getting them posted before the 30th, they'll show up at some point!  (I already know I won't get them all posted because I started to type this Wednesday and it's late Friday night by the time I'm finally finishing this post and already know a busy weekend is planned, so the rest of the blues will be posted at a later time.)

Started with a base of two coats of Glitter Gal Marine Blue.  This has no topcoat.

Stamped using white Konad special polish using MJ IV (thumb and middle), Apipila 01 (index), Big SdP B (pinky) and XXL Big SdP-01 (ring).

Topped with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Fast Dry top coat.

I'm now sporting other colours on my nails even thought I'll still be sharing blue mani's until the end of the month.  As much as I love blues...and it certainly is a good cause....it is nice to see another colour on my nails other than blue! They too will show up at another time lol!

Have a great weekend....we are finally going to be getting some nice weather...time for some yard work....thanks for looking!

OPI Tomorrow Never Dies

I can think of no catchy title and lack of sleep is causing brain fog, so by default this will have to do!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI Tomorrow Never Dies.  Topped with SV.  Tomorrow Never Dies leans more purple than this IRL as these pix look more blue than purple.

I look at these photos and they look to me like they've been worked on...I mean, the glow!  But I have no editing skills and actually uploaded these from Blogger, not even from Photobucket where I could edit them if I knew how (other than cropping, which I did figure out!).  So glowy!

I have my nail pal nailXchange to thank for *forcing* me to pick this up.  When the OPI Skyfall collex was released, I picked up the few I was wanting and passed on Tomorrow Never Dies.  But when we were out and about on a polish excursion (actually our cross border trip with the ladies from Frazzle and Aniploish and The Holo Queen last year ), at our stop at Ulta, she said Tomorrow Never Dies was her favourite of the collex and you need it in your collex (here's nailXchange's review of Tomorrow Never Dies btw; her pix lean more purple).  So I took her word for it, picked it up, and finally got around to wearing it...and it's amazing!  I can't say it's my fave of the collex as I haven't worn all them, nor did I buy the whole collex for that matter, but certainly no disappointment with having this in my stash!

For some layering interest, added a fairly thick coat of KB Shimmer Diva; topped with SV.

I'm not really happy with how these pix turned out but had a hard time getting a good image due to the holographic glitter...which I don't think is a bad thing!

Stamped using Nicole by OPI Positive Energy using Apipila 01 and topped with SV.

Hope you're having a great week.....thanks for looking!

Pahlish Pianos Filled With Flames

This is a mani that I had done for Valentine's but didn't get around to posting it...but I think it is one of those mani's you can wear any time of the year.

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Pianos Filled with Flames, topped with SV.

Slightly different lighting; was trying to get a good pix to show off the the holographic glitter!

Bottle shot.

I wanted to add stamping that would allow the beautify base polish to be visible so decided upon an image on Apipila 01 using white Konad special polish. (I really want to say....using white Konad special pahlish!)

Topped with SV.

I have to thank Shannon for this bottle; I had placed an order of Pahlishes, but Piano Filled with Flames wasn't on the order (I'm embarrassed to say!).  Then I seen one of my nail pals post a Christmas mani on FB Adventures in Stamping using it as a base and it was awesome!  As soon as I seen it, I was regretting I hadn't ordered it so I emailed Shannon right away and asked if she could please add Piano Filled with Flames to my order if she had not yet shipped.  I was in luck as Shannon had not yet shipped...AND she was good enough to gift it...which was a fantastic surprise and greatly appreciated!  Thanks too Lisa, for showing your mani in the first place using this beautiful polish...ahem, pahlish!

Pahlish is sold via Etsy and llarowe.....there is a new collex, Coney Island Queen, being released for sale on Etsy tonight....please check out Pahlish FB for more information!

Pink Panther Mani!

This weeks FB Adventures in Stamping challenge is using 2 different stamps in a mani.  I asked if I could use more than 2 or if I'd be thrown out...they said OK....so this is what I came up with.

Started with a base of FingerPaints Black Expressionism and CND Taffy Pink on alternating fingers; each are two coats.  Topped with SV.

Stamped using MJ III (thumb), Apipila 01 (Pink Panter face on index and ring), HB14 (paw prints on middle), Konad m18 (PP on middle) and BM19 (dots on pinky).  Stamping polishes used were Konad black special polish and FUN pink (my bottle says Cotton Candy on it)...which stamps amazingly over black as you can see!  It's like a stamping dream come true....brights that stamp well over dark colours!  (I have a few more posts coming up using these brights over dark polishes...so cool...really opens up stamping options IMHO!!  It's been one of my stamping wants for a long, long time!)

Added random pink and black dots as filler using same stamping polishes.

Topped with SV.

Is it just me, or is it every time I see Pink Panther, I go BA, DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAAAA DADA DA in my head?  You too? lol!

I've also added a tab on my home page now that links to the various etailers that plates and polishes can be had...so if you are interested in knowing where to get Apipila, MJ, FUN or BM, please go here!

Hope you're having a great weekend....thanks for looking!
