Birthday Nails!

I had a birthday not too long ago (OK...it was yesterday!) so these were the nails I was sporting for the weekend!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a sponged gradient of Fancy Gloss Neon Yellow Sunshine Pop and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  (I did post it was neon yellow but just checked my notes and its not.  Sorry.)

Applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals with images from MoYou London Happy Birthday 01 and 02 using Fancy Gloss Neon Orange, Neon Yellow, Neon Green, Imperial and Azure.  The thumb and pinky are double stamped; first with a few of the Fancy Gloss Neons using HB 01 and then, the thumb is double stamped the thumb using an image from BundleMonster BM-H19, the word to is from MoYou London Happy Birthday 01 and me is from UC Love and Marriage 01.  The pinky has another decal from the index finger that didn't fit!  I also added random stars, dots, etc. for filler in various images from these same plates.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes on my various social media accounts as I did post these on FB and IG yesterday but didn't have time to do a blog post!  Hopefully you get some ideas from this mani when it's your birthday!!

X Marks The Spot!

This was a quick and easy mani done with one of the mystery prototypes received from Different Dimension during the Black Friday sale.  I didn't know which numbers to pick so chose the years of my kids birthdays and did pretty good with 1997!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Mystery Prototype 97, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Maniology (Bundle Monster) Special FX BM-XL456 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Digit-al Dozen Does Look Up; Day 3

I've had a hectic week and yesterday's dumping of snow didn't help it at all so I'm behind in getting my Digit-al Dozen posts up.  With the time change last weekend and with it now being dark at 5ish pm, I've been seeing a lot of stars at night now especially given that I leave work at 8 or 9 pm most nights lately which is what I came up with on day 3 of our look up challenge!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Pinta.

Added a coat of Etheral Lacquer Moonlit Machete from September 2018 Polish Pickup.

This low lighting pix shows flakies a bit better.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Sponged Zoya Julie and Paint It Pretty Polish Indigo Rises.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. A couple of the nails weren't very happy with all the coats of polish in such a short time and kinda wrinkled but as I was doing these nails one morning before work, I didn't have time for them to settle down.  But they did once dry.

Stamped using images from BundleMonster BM-XL213 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Low lighting pix shows some of those flakies a little better....the ones I didn't sponge over anyway lol.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Low light again.

Here's the other ladies day 3 mani's!

IEC 2018 VIP Bag and Colors by Llarowe You Like Eh? IEC 2018 VIP Exclusive

press sample

If you went to Indie Expo Canada 2018 and got a VIP bag, you would have seen this stunner CbL You Like Eh? which was a IEC 2018 VIP exclusive!  I'm just getting around to wearing it now although I don't know what too me so long; it is stunning!  I added this flirty stamping so as to not to cover up the polish underneath; this is what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Colors by Llarowe You Like Eh? IEC 2018 VIP Exclusive, no top coat. This fuchsia base with micro holographic flakies has a strong blue flash and is stunning!  It's one of those gorgeous hues that is perfect for any time of year; light enough to wear during the spring or summer, yet a dark, delectable shade for the fall or winter!   To me, it's a romantic shade which is why I paired it with the flirty heart stamping!  There were no application or removal issues, no staining to report.

Do you see mysterious and romantic?  It's captured in a bottle!

Colors by Llarowe was just one of the many items that was included in the VIP bag.  Here's a few pix of the bag!  This is how everything came in the pink IEC bag.

So many awesome products; the fantastic polishes, wax melts, eyeshadow, glitter, a bath bomb, nail decals, a crystal nail file, coupon codes, hair and body products....everything but the kitchen sink!  (Hmm, don't ask why that one bottle of polish wasn't opened in this picture lol.  I guess I forgot to open it in my haste to take pictures to share later!)

After organizing everything a little better, this is a better picture of all the fabulous goodies!  I'm slowly wearing/using the products and will share posts on them in the future!  Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to a truly wonderful bag!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Sorry, I couldn't pick which pictures I liked better!

Stamped using an image from BundleMonster BM-612 using MdU 1.

Unfortunately, Colors by Llarowe You Like Eh? was an Indie Expo Canada VIP Exclusive; unless you are lucky enough to find one in a destash, it's no longer available, sorry.

Digit-al Dozen Does Tropical; Day 2

This is my day 2 mani for Digit-al Dozen tropical challenge.  I have to admit, these are a little unusual for tropical nails but I was striving for something different/thinking outside of the box so these were done intentionally to be different.  And my best shadow stamping to date if I don't say so myself; I was really pleased how the shadow stamping turned out even though I had to do 3 fingers twice hahaha.  Anyway, hopefully you enjoy Day 2 of the tropical theme!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Fair Maiden Polish You Got It Dude! from May 2018 Polish Pick Up. The brights and flaky lover in me absolutely adores this polish and I was really happy to add it to my stash!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Did these tropical hibiscus nails with colours that I thought would compliment the base polish as I see light purple shimmer flash in the base.  First stamped the image using MdU 60, then double stamped using MdU 73 using an image from BM-318.  I didn't take pix of just the lilac polish as I double stamped each nail as I went versus doing all then them the one colour then the second stamping because these MdU polishes can be skin stainers and I didn't want to have any issue.  Plus because I did double stamping of all nails using different parts of the image, wanted to immediately double stamp so the placement was fresh in my mind. Ha...sign of old age that is lol (middle age anyway!)!

Birthday Tribite to Elena!!

Happy (Belated) Birthday to Elena of Nail Experiments!  Elena celebrated her birthday on Friday, June 22nd and I participated in the unicorn collaboration in celebration of her birthday!  These are the nails I came up with for it!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Mira, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Rogue Lacquer Back to the Ninedaays.

Bottle shot of Rogue Lacquer Back to the Ninedaays.  This was part of the June 2018 Polish Pick Up and I thought it would be cool for some layering.  Based upon photos that I've seen of Back to the Ninedaays, it builds up to be opaque.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using images from BundleMonster BM-XL214, made stamper decals then applied them directly to the nail. Used CND Taffy Pink, Bicycle Yellow, Zoya Yummy and FunkyFingers Gesso.

I took a lot of pictures to try to get a good picture of the thumb stamper decal which I think is kinda cool if I don't say so myself; here's one just by itself.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Elena, I hope you had a fabulous day and wonderful birthday weekend!  Thanks to Amanda of @polish.and.plates for the invite; it was a lot of fun and there were awesome unicorn mani's; here's the collage!
