Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns; Day 3

It's day 3 of Digit-al Dozen pattern challenge  (I'm late, I'm sorry but life is just so busy!)!  I just did these nails a couple days ago; I thought I had done the mani's for the challenge (and I have!) but I liked these nails just a little better than another so decided to share now instead of another one!  The other Digit-al Dozen ladies are so talented; I have to try to bring my best mani's to try to keep up lol!  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie All Over The Wave, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Different Dimension Envy, part of the newly released 7 Deadly Sins collection.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Apipila Super Placa A using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to add a few dots for colour and interest, added them using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's the other ladies day3 mani's!

Enjoying Summer!

Good morning!  It's another beautiful day; the weather has been so nice this week and it seems that summer has finally arrived!  I did these nails back in May when the weather wasn't quite as nice but was hoping for summer anyway!  Here's what I came up with!

I love these flaky type of polishes and while this shade might remind me more of spring than summer, it's still a nice bright colour that I personally would wear all year round.  This is Different Dimension There Is No One Alive Who Is More You-er Than You, which was the March 2019 polish of the month.  Shown with no top coat.

Applied a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Moyra 118-Dream on with Painted Polish Deux 2.0.

Moyra 118 Dream On.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I really like the simplicity of these nails but I also like to dot everything so.....

....added dots using MdU 51 for a pop of colour.

Happy Canada Day!!

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!  I had a really hectic week and just did these yesterday but they'll be on my nails all weekend!

Started with a base of two coats each of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, OPI My Wish List Is You with an accent of Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars.

Added a light coat of Funky Fingers Olaf on thumb for some interest and topped all with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped all fingers using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS LC-08 using Konad red special polish and MdU 1.  Accent is CNF 001 with Fig Tree Stamps.

Topped all with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  It was a little hot and humid yesterday so even though I waited a bit to top coat, I still had a little smear.  I had to use the Konad and MdU stamping polishes as everything else dried too quickly!  Normally I would have done a bit of touch up with the stamps that didn't stamp that well but I did these in cottage country and only had a minimum amount of supplies with me.  But still was happy how they turned out!

Whatever you are doing this long weekend (and hopefully it is a long weekend for you!), please be safe regardless if you are on the water, driving, make sure you wear a hat and sunscreen and overall, enjoy your day and think of  what a great country we live in!

Purple Double Stamp Floral

I love these eye catching nails on one of my favourite go to bases!  And the best part is they are easy as pie!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimensions Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This was one of those nights that I didn't have much time to do my nails but still wanted to change them so was going with simple mani of purple stamped floral on the holo base (my go to pretty much when I can't quickly decide to wear on my nails.  Pretty neutral to me!).  So pulled a few different purples.  On my test (right) hand, I had stamped using Mdu 101 which was the light lilac shade but it was too light of a shade for the image to show well.  So then I stamped with MdU 14 which  was the navy and it was good.  So when I stamped on top of the MdU 14 on the test nail, I'm like-this is amazing!  Nice light and dark contrast and you can still see all the sparkle and holo goodness from the base through.  These were my colours!

Stamped using MdU 101 using image from MoYou Flower Power 20.

Then stamped again using same image using MdU 14.  I didn't shadow stamp, just randomly restamped the image however it laid on the nail because it didn't really matter as the base stamping was just another coloured background for interest and I still wanted the base polish to shine through.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is everything I love about stamping; quick and easy, interesting image, colourful and still see base polish shine through!

More Easter Nails!

Here's another Easter mani!  I didn't do many Easter nails this year; I just didn't find that many images and if I did, they didn't interest me for some reason.  Makers, I think we need more Easter images!  And St. Patrick's Day!  We have enough Christmas and Valentines but I think these two holidays are lacking.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, Music City Beauty Time After Time (March 2019 PPU), Pahlish Rainbow Dash, Different Dimension Mystery Proto 68, Great Lakes Lacquer The Last Sliver of Sun and Pahlish Fluttershy.  While I absolutely love each and every one of these, my favourites were Music City Beauty Time After Time and Pahlish Rainbow Dash.  One, so glad I just got it and the other, what took me so long to wear it??  And how did I luck out with that Different Dimension mystery polish???

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making a few stamper decals using images, applied them from Creative Shop 60 (thumb), Creative Shop 123 (index and pinky), Dixie Plates Easter (middle) and MoYou Festive-09 (ring).  I'm not sure why the thumb image fill in picked up the outline and smeared it; I always left my stamped images sit for at least 24 hours before filling it but it happened anyway.  I wonder if its too much polish on the brush?  I'll have to try to figure out why....any ideas?  Applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top of all the decals.

I also added the words on the thumb using Dixie Plates Easter and Moyra 24.

After the topcoat had dried, applied some clear to the index finger and added loose flocking powder.

Starting The Month Off On A Green Note!

I'm going to start March off with a green mani; love how this turned out!  The whole month won't be green but I do have a few St. Patrick's Day mani's already done and will be sharing them between now and the 17th!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of Different Dimension Retrograde with an accent of Cirque Polish Urbanized.  I like how the holo flash in the Different Dimension compliments the accent nail well!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added a couple accent studs.

Stamped using an image from Marianne Nails XXL8 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  A great image to let the base polish shine through!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

X Marks The Spot!

This was a quick and easy mani done with one of the mystery prototypes received from Different Dimension during the Black Friday sale.  I didn't know which numbers to pick so chose the years of my kids birthdays and did pretty good with 1997!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Mystery Prototype 97, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Maniology (Bundle Monster) Special FX BM-XL456 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Valentine Hearts!

I have a few Valentine's Day manis to share before the day of love arrives!  As in the past, I try to do some untypical holiday mani's to shake things up a bit!  This is one that, believe it or not, started by me observing an army green car on my way to work and I decided right there that army green nails were going on that night! That turned into a Valentine's Day mani with some unusual colours; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Butter London British Khaki (creme on ring and index), Painted Polish Lotus Love (middle) and Different Dimension Mystery Prototype 90 (thumb and pinky).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Kelli Negri KN12 (thumb) and Bunny Nails HD-B on the rest of the nails using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Added random little hearts using image from UberChic Love & Marriage 02 using MdU 46; also added a couple more rows of hearts on the pinky and middle using same image from HD-B and MdU 46 and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  Also stamped same image from KN 12 using MdU 46 but just added the heart in the middle on the thumb.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I love how this turned out; I also love how you can take some not so typical Valentine's Day colours and turn it into a Valentine's Day mani!

Hope you're having a great weekend; thanks for looking!
