Digit-al Dozes Does Col(u)rs Collide; Day 4

It's about time I started to share some Halloween nails and I'm using the Digit-al Dozen colours collide challenge to kick it off!  This was based upon black and white being contrasting colours and the mani has them colliding together for Halloween!  Here's what I came up with!

I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and OPI Black Onyx (and I guess I didn't take any pix as I don't see any when I uploaded!).  Stamped using images from UberChic UC Halloween-03 using Painted Polishes Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added dots using CND Electric Orange for a pop of colour interest and filler.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs Collide; Day 3

I did these nails shortly after IEC 2019 as I got both the base and the stamping polish there.  Another unusual combination that looks great (IMHO!) and I thought I would share for day 3 of Digit-al Dozen colour collide challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of LynBDesigns What's the Pointillist, no top coat.  I love this polish; it was a favourite that I had picked up from the event.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Hit The Bottle Fuchsia Expectations using an image from UberChic UC 27-03.

UberChic UC 27-03.

Added a few dots using Moyra sp. 15 for some bright interest and filler.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Removal was a breeze!  I don't even know how this happened; maybe too much oil on my nails, not sure but they all pretty much popped off with no issue!

Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs That Collide; Day 2

Here's a couple colours that collide for day two of Digit-al Dozen challenge!  I love how it turned out...and love when two colours that don't necessarily go well together look great!

Started with a base of two coats of Girly Bits Peace-Oop, which was one of their September 2016 COTM (where does time fly??  Three years already??), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 using MdU 1.

Topped with original stamped image using image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using Painted Polish Autumn Twilight 2.0 and then stamped the rest of the nails with the same image and stamping polish.

Dotted flower centers using MdU 1.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs That Collide; Day 1

Not only is it Thanksgiving Day but it is also the first day of Digit-al Dozen week; our theme this month is colours that collide.  This is a rare time that I'm sharing two mani's in the same day so that I can still post for Thanksgiving Day but also try to keep on track for Digit-al Dozen posts.

I've taken day 1's nails a little literally; the colours actually collide on the nail (versus two colours that may clash) but the good thing is that we have wide berth on how we interpret the challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Cupcake Polish Crazy Mod Love, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Lina Twirls & Swirls 01 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I took a pix outside the next day so you could see the awesome holoness of Cupcake Polish Mod Love.

Digit-al Dozen Does Wool/Copper; Day 5

It's the final day for Digit-al Dozen wool/copper challenge and today's nails are (loosely) based on the copperhead snake.  Loose because the base isn't copper, but the design is based on the scales of the copperhead snake and we have wide interpretation of any challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of KBShimmer The Eh Team, no top coat.  KBShimmer The Eh Team was an Indie Expo Canada 2019 exclusive that I bought at the event last month.  Remaining bottles were made available for purchase through Harlow & Co. here but it looks like it sold out, sorry.

Another shot just because my polish application and clean up rarely looks this good!  Clearly, The Eh Team applied itself because you know I couldn't do this decent of a job of it!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from UberChic UC Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded using Hit The Bottle Peacock Shimmer.  I also bought this plate at the UberChic booth at IEC 2019 and ironically Hit the Bottle was also in attendance!  I didn't buy Peacock Shimmer at this years event but rather when they attended in 2017.

UberChic UC Wild Luxury:  Cold Blooded

Shadow stamped using same image from UC Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Painted Polish was not in attendance at IEC 2019 but who knows; maybe Lexi will have a booth next year??  Here's to hoping!

I'm not sure if this is the best picture I could have shared but you can actually see the base polish and the first stamped polish well in this pix which is why I chose it to share.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hopefully you've enjoyed the Digit-al Dozen's 7th anniversary theme of wool/copper!

Digit-al Dozen Does Wool/Copper; Day 4

I'm catching up on my Digit-al Dozen posts but still hope to get them done in the next few days!  This is what I came up with for day 4!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shock Wave, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Creative Shop 86 (pinky and ring), Creative Shop 55 (middle and thumb) and BP-59 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

BP-59

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Filled in the sheep on the ring, pinky and thumb using Painted Polish Blanc Slate then dabbed Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Sugar Fix to mimic wool texture on those images and Sally Hansen Lick-O-Rich on the index finger.

Decided to add a few dots for added colour, filler and interest using MdU 97.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a good pix of the dots before I top coated, which eliminated a lot of the texture on the sheep.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Digit-al Dozen Does Wool/Copper; Day 3

I'm running a bit behind but this is my day 3 mani for Digit-al Dozen wool/copper challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of KBShimmer Run It's The Coppers, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making a stamper decal using Delaney Automne 001, applied to pinky.  Stamped image from UberChic UC Lovely Leaves on thumb, Chez Delaney Halloween 004 on index, Lesly LS-21, and UberChic UC Halloween 04.  Stamping polihses used were MdU 2, 8, 9, 11, 22, 48 and 53.  Also added some hand painting on the index and middle finger.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Note regarding the thumb image:  I have used this image a few times now; it is one of my all time fall favourite images to use.  In the past, I have dotted the plate with the different colours, scraped and then stamped whatever the affect of the scrap is but I find the colours really intermingle and aren't as nice as they could be.  I usually go back and dot in the the 'leaves' with the individual colours as it is rarely the look I'm going for.  For this mani, I did a couple dots of yellow for example, scraped and stamped.  Then cleaned the plate, did a couple dots of red in different locations on the plate different than the yellow, scraped and stamped.  And so on for all the colours.  The end result was clear colours intermingled well for the fall leaves.  I never thought of this until this year but I like the end result a lot more than in past years so we will using this method going forward.  Hopefully it will help someone else out!
