A Late Halloween Post

I'm a little late sharing this on the blog but had shared on IG a few days ago but didn't get time to do a blog post until now but wanted to share now before I forgot!

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Revlon Alluring Amber, OPI Life Game Me Lemons and FingerPaints Abstract Amethyst.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I had made a stamper decal with an image from Konad Square 1 and applied it on the thumb; I had used the base polishes from the other fingers for it and just thought it was the coolest image since sliced bread!  I think next year, I want to do all five nails with this image and have like stamper decal Jamberry's! Anyway, used images from Chez Halloween 002 (middle), Delaney Halloween 005 (index), Chez Delaney Halloween 005 (pinky) and  ZZ Scream (ring) using MdU 2. For the image on the ring finger, I had omitted the moon initially when I stamped in black, then isolated the image and restamped it with a clear stamper using EdK Kaa and placed it with a clear stamper.

Added a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

If you know my nails, you know I like them busy so added a bunch of dots as filler using same base polishes. It made the nails a little funner and less spooky but that's OK.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I didn't get as much time as I wanted to do Halloween nails but I hope you enjoyed the few I did this year anyway!

Last of the Fall Nails!

I have been loving these fall mani's and could do oh so many more but with Halloween knocking at the door, it's time to post the last of the fall nails.  (One of my neighbours already has their Christmas lights up; I'm like, let's get over Halloween first buddy and then we'll think about Christmas!)

Anyway, here's the last of my fall nails....unless I decide to throw one in after Halloween as I'm sure we'll still be in the middle of fall here at the rate the leaves are falling!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen Butterscotch.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Delany Feuillages A001 on all fingers except thumb which is UberChic Lovely Leaves.  Stamping polishes were MdU 11 and 13, GirlyBits Fire Engine Red and Esmaltes Da Kelly Lili.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I got some new lighting and would love any feedback you have on these pictures.  Worse?  Better? Not colour accurate?  Too much glare?  Any feedback including the good, the bad or the ugly is greatly appreciated!  It's a work in progress but I am trying!

Loads of Valentine Hearts!

These are probably the least favourite of the Valentine's Day nails I did this year; I guess they are OK, just not my favourite.  I was trying to do something with a black base for Digit-al Dozen them coming up on Monday, but did a few others I like better so will share them instead!

Started with a base of two coats of ILNP Varsity Jacket with accent of Polished for Days Hoodie Weather.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic Love & Marriage-03 using Mdu 1, FAB red and Esmaltes de Kelly Flufi.  For the small hearts, used the same image and double stamped the image.

UberChic Love & Marriage-03

This is Ms. Cindy (aka, the test hand); I actually triple stamped the thumb but didn't like how some of the images overlapped which is why I ended up doing two above.

Finished with  coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a good weekend; thanks for looking!

Pretty & Polished Dusty Creme Gradient

I'm going to soon start sharing some Valentine's Day mani's, but before I do, I thought I'd share this mani I did a week or so ago.  This is some of my favourite things (dusty cremes, blue, sponged gradient, easy peasy)!  If you seen my New Year's post, you might remember that the Pretty & Polished dusty creme polishes are some of my faves right now.  Just a little bit of a something something to make for an interesting base for stamping.  Well, I thought I would see how well they gradient and must say, not too shabby if I do say myself!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pretty & Polished My Sage Advice.  Can you see the dusty formula?  I love the look of this!

I should have cropped this pix but hopefully you can see the Pretty & Polished special dusty formula here.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a sponged gradient using these pretties; Pretty & Polished My Sage Advice, Weather the Storm and Reflect and Ponder.

This is how it turned out!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I decided to do a tri-mix for the stamping too using MoYou Beach House and Cool Pool and Esmaltes da Kelly Icaro with images from FUN 3 and an accent of UberChic UC 14-02.

UC 14-02

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  In case you are wondering about the removal of these dusty cremes, there were no issues.  Polish came off just like a normal creme.

NEW Crumpet Nail Tart Challenge: Blue and Silver

October 14th started the next round of the Crumpet challenge; things are a little different this time in that challenges are only every two weeks so hopefully I can participate in all them this time! Last challenge, I started out well but petered out towards the end so didn't do all the challenges but hope to do better this round! I'm not off to a very good start as, even though I had my nails done, I couldn't get the post up in time but here it is now!  I did two challenge nails at the same time; one on each hand which is why this is a rare showing of Ms. Cindy.  Here's what I came up with for the first challenge which is blue and silver!

Started with a base of two coats of Colors by llarowe Sparking Diamonds Stamping Polish.  I know this isn't your typical base polish but I was using it for another mani and it was handy!

Stamped using an image from Handy 20 with accent of Bunny Nails HD-G using Esmaltes da Kelly Allan then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's what I was wearing as I did two challenge nails; one on each hand!

Here's the other ladies blue and silver nails!

Darling Diva Without You

Raise your hand if you're tired of my fall nails???  I'm guessing people on IG are tired of them as followers have dropped like leaves over the last few days lol.  Oh well, can't please everyone and I'm loving the fall nails and that's all that matters!  I still have a few more fall nails to share but to change it up a little, I thought I'd share nails that I did after I got back from Polish Con with one of my newly purchased Darling Diva polishes.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Darling Diva Without You, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping.

I'm trying to use some different stamping polishes as I know I use black or white 90% of the time for quick stamping.  So after searching through my stamping polishes, decided to go with Esmaltes da Kelly Elliott as I thought it would compliment the every so faint blue/mintish tinge to the polish.  Used an image from MoYou Kaleidoscope 03.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

My test hand with a few different images trying to decide which one to go with lol!

Digit-al Dozen Does Whimsy; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen week!  This month's theme is whimsy and it might be one of the hardest challenges so far! This is what I came up with!

By defintion, whimsey is:

whimsy

or whimsey

[hwim-zee, wim-]

nounplural whimsies.
1.
capricious humor or disposition; extravagant, fanciful, or excessively playful expression:
a play with lots of whimsy.
2.
an odd or fanciful notion.
3.
anything odd or fanciful; a product of playful or capricious fancy:
a whimsy from an otherwise thoughtful writer.

So I took this mani as my interpretation of being playful and went with it! I'm not 100% sure if it really is whimsy or if any of the other mani's I've done for the week are whimsy either for that matter, but just pretend it is for the week in case, ok?

Started with a base of two coats of FunkyFingers Dark Knight (no pix as have shown before).  Stamped using an image from Yours YS11 using Esmaltes da Kelly stamping polishes in Bee, Chuvisco, Icaro, Cleo and Dixie.  Shown below with no top coat.

Yours YS11

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish.

I did my other hand lightly different and liked how it turned out.  The idea for the left hand was for it to be a gradient of stamping so the colours would mix a bit more on each of the nails but it didn't happen that way.  I liked how the index finger stamped though so used the same part of the image on all on the nails here on the right hand.

Here's the other ladies Day 1 whimsy mani's!
