A Different Looking Daisy!

I've had this mani in archives for a while now as I did it last November but as I was browsing draft posts, I realized that this mani has daisies on it too!  Love doing daisy mani's!  Although this image covers more of the base than I'd like, especially on this stunning base, it has a little bit more design and interest to it than other images of just a daisy.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quixotic Polish Ball Lightning.  This was from June 2019 Polish Pickup and is no longer available unless you are lucky enough tto find it in a destash.  While it does show a little thin here in the pix with the lighting, it did provide opaque coverage to the naked eye with just the two coats.  I also knew I was going to stamp on top of it so wasn't concerned if there were any bare-ishlooking areas.

Stamped with image from MoYou Mexico Collection-09 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

While I did like this look, one of my favourite things to do is add dots, whether it is in the center of a flower like here or as filler.  They just add a little bit more interest and a pop of colour, I find.  Sometimes it adds a little to the mani; sometimes, it takes it a little over the top!  You never know until you to it!  Added the flower centers using MdU 20.

Daisies!

I love this daisy image and never get tired of doing my nails with it even thought I use it so often!  I'm sorry if you're tired of seeing it though!  But I love how versatile it is and it never lets me down! Especially when I can't find an image to stamp on my nails and want a quick mani change but don't feel like looking for an image to stamp on my nails; it is my go to for sure!  This is one of the many looks I've done with this daisy image; here's what I came up with!

Another one of my favourite things to do is wear dark colours when my nails are short.  So decided on this stunning navy polish, Morgan Taylor Baby It's Cold Outside, two coats.

Topped with Fancy Gloss Peacock Feathers.  Another favourite thing to do; layer!

Flakies!!

Stamped using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using MdU 52 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Dotted daisies using the same polishes.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I took this pix the next day is overcast skies but you can see the flakies a little better in Fancy Gloss Peacock Parade, so thought I'd share!  I love the look of the green flakies and the navy polish!

Last of the Cherry Blossom Nails!

This is the final cherry blossom mani that I have to share for now; I thought I had better get it posted before it isn't relevant!  Although cherry blossom nails are pretty enough to share any time of the year, don't you think?  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Color Club Feathered Hair Out to There, no top coat.  Coverage wasn't the best but it didn't matter; I knew I was going to do a gradient on top.

Did a gradient using Illamasqua DWS which was too dark so then used an unmarked Color Club.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made a few stamper decals using Moyra 73-Sakura and MdU 30, Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Stamped in Rose for the thumb, index and pinky.  Also did stamper decals for the ring and middle using same Moyra 73; the flowers are same stamping polishes; the fan backgrounds are Liquid Ssky Bibbity Boppity Boo.  All outlines are Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Beaches!

Who else is looking forward to warmer weather and lazy days at the beach?  Or maybe even a little vacation when the weather turns cooler to an exotic location where you can look at the amazing hues in the ocean water.  These days will return; beach days probably sooner than flying to your favourite resort or seaside little town where the water is tantalizing!  I'm looking forward to getting out onto the water once our weather turns a little warmer, that's for sure! I did these nails with this in mind; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Elevation Polish The Med 2 with accent nails of Ulta Mint Condition.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Topped accent nails using Elevation Polish Yeti's Oceanside Vacation.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped nails using MdU 76 using Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 01.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I was going to leave the nails as they are above but thought that some cool water images would look cool on top of this base.  Stamped using images from Sugar Bubbles SB 065 on all nails except thumb, which is Moyra 66 Exotique using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Colourful Floral Nails!

I had these nails set aside to share as part of a Digit-al Dozen challenge (for stripes) but I can't remember if the group didn't participate this month or I took it off because life got in the way!  Either way, I've stepped back from the Digit-al Dozen for a bit, mainly because I have found that I'm too busy with life right now and cannot commit to doing my nails in time for a challenge or even to do a regular post.  Also, the group needs more members and we can't seem to find them so that's another challenge as well.  I hope it's just 'see you later' and not 'goodbye' but at least for the next few months, I cannot commit to posting the challenges so thought this best.  I love being part of the group; love doing manis on all the various themes and the other ladies in the group really challenge me to do some better nail art as I feel the need to try to keep up to them versus some easier mani's that I'd be more inclined to do, especially when I don't have much time to do my nails.  For the last couple weeks, if I have even done my nails, which is a lot as I usually changed my polish 4-7x a week, but for the last couple weeks, if I have changed them, it was just a polish change, no nail art.  And that makes me sad unfortunately, I just didn't have time for more.  Or it would cut into my minimal sleep time even more!  So if you don't see regular posts, you'll know that I will see you later; it's not goodbye!  I do hope you stick around though...at this time, I have 158 mani's in draft saved and who knows how many hundreds on camera roll.  I still have lots of nails to share and hope to still do regular posts, including this one!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian, OPI Toying With Trouble and Revlon Sassy, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made stamper decals from image from Creative Shop 127; the outline is Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and the decal is filled in with the base polishes.

Added leaves to pinky and index using image from Lesly 34 using MdU 80 and Painted Polish Stamped in Living Coral on pinky.  I had a couple flowers left on parts of the decals that didn't make it onto the nail, so added them to the thumb.  Both these stamping polishes match the regular polishes pretty well which is what I like; when I can find a stamping polish and regular polish that matches and makes it all matchy-matchy!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to add a few white dots to brighten things up a bit and for filler.  Used Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

More Cherry Blossoms!

Here's another cherry blossom mani and OMG I cannot believe that I didn't do terribly bad using the layered images on the plate with lining up the outline and the filled in part onto the nail!  Thank you Clear Jelly Stamper lol!  Even with it, I rarely line up well and while this isn't perfect either, I'll take it as a win!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Different Dimension You Betta Werk (February 2020 PPU), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using images from Creative Shop 166, first stamped the fill in part of the blossoms using MdU 20, Painted Polish Stamped in Rose and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Then using the outline image on the same Creative Shop 166 plate, stamped on all the blossoms using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  In case it's not clear, I stamped the on the four fingers to make it look like a long branch and stamped the thumb with the part of the image I liked best!

Bright Tropical Nails!

Anyone else itching for summer?  If I'm being honest, I'd be happy with warmer weather and less wind; it has been oh, so cold and windy lately!  I'm hoping the sun will soon shine as bright as these nails!

Started with a base of Painted Polish Midnight Mischief with accent gradient nails of Fancy Gloss Neon Green, Fancy Gloss Striking Blue and Color Club Almost Famous.  Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using an image from Infinity 77, did a scraped gradient using MdU 11 and 38.

Infinity 77.

Using the same image from Infinity 77, stamped on the accent nails using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  This mani was actually a trial of sorts; I wanted to see if I liked the gradient with the black stamping or the black base with the gradient stamping....and to be honest, I prefer the black base with the gradient stamping!  Plus soooo much easier to do versus doing the sponged gradient, not to mention less time consuming!  But this was an interesting variation too.  I think lol!  Which do you prefer?

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I guess if there's one positive to the colder weather, it is keeping people indoors, away from one another and less of an urge to go to cottage country so I guess there is a plus side to this cooler weather!
