Happy Spring!!!

It's the first day of spring....well officially this afternoon at 5:58 pm!

After a long, cold, wet and icy winter, let's hope that spring-like weather is just around the corner!  I did these nails a year ago but didn't get around to sharing them but I do think they are kinda cool so wanted to be sure to get them shared this year!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Pretty & Polished Walking on Sunshine.

Did a sponged gradient using Pretty & Polished Walking On Sunshine and I'm Kale-ing It With This Color.  Love the gradient!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 01 (index and pinky) using Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery and Creative Shop 41 (thumb, middle and index) using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Creative Shop 41

Added few accent dots using CND Bicycle Yellow.

Decided to add dots on all fingers using same CND Bicycle Yellow.

Love!!!

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Three Pretty & Polished Dusty Cremes!

I've been wearing a lot of soft, neutral shades lately.  In fact, this is the mani I have on my nails today which I'm really liking!  In hindsight, I wish I had have done accent nail design on all nails but there's always next time!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pretty & Polished Creme de la Creme, no top coat.  This is one of the Pretty & Polishes dusty cremes that I'm so fond of!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to do a sponged gradient using Pretty & Polished Creme de la Creme, My Sage Advice and Weather the Storm.  It took quite a bit of sponging as the colours weren't that saturated but I think in the end, the extra work was worth it!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Too bad the pix wasn't a little closer and more in focus so you could see the dusty in it.  But all the pix of this stage came out of the same :(

Stamped using Creative Shop 52 on all images except accent, which is Moyra 112 Far Far Away.  Used MdU 43.

Pretty & Polished Dusty Creme Gradient

I'm going to soon start sharing some Valentine's Day mani's, but before I do, I thought I'd share this mani I did a week or so ago.  This is some of my favourite things (dusty cremes, blue, sponged gradient, easy peasy)!  If you seen my New Year's post, you might remember that the Pretty & Polished dusty creme polishes are some of my faves right now.  Just a little bit of a something something to make for an interesting base for stamping.  Well, I thought I would see how well they gradient and must say, not too shabby if I do say myself!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pretty & Polished My Sage Advice.  Can you see the dusty formula?  I love the look of this!

I should have cropped this pix but hopefully you can see the Pretty & Polished special dusty formula here.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a sponged gradient using these pretties; Pretty & Polished My Sage Advice, Weather the Storm and Reflect and Ponder.

This is how it turned out!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I decided to do a tri-mix for the stamping too using MoYou Beach House and Cool Pool and Esmaltes da Kelly Icaro with images from FUN 3 and an accent of UberChic UC 14-02.

UC 14-02

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  In case you are wondering about the removal of these dusty cremes, there were no issues.  Polish came off just like a normal creme.

Digit-al Dozen Does Colour Contrasts; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen challenge week!  This months theme is colour contrasts; so colours that are opposite each other on the colour chart......or those that clash.....or compliment each other.....however we individually interpreted it!  Here's what I came up with for Day 1!

Started with a base of two coats of Pretty & Polished Fuzzy Sweater; shown with no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Love the interesting green colour of it with colour shifting flakies!  I love the flakies; gives the polish an added interest to the base!  The Pretty & Polished site described is as an off beat mustard colour but I see more green than mustard which I think is a brighter yellow myself; although when I google swatches, I do see some pictures that lean yellow....but certainly not mustard yellow unless the mustard has gone bad!

Stamped using images from MoYou Festive Collection-06 with accent of BM-S216.  For some reason, I didn't take note of the stamping polish, but I do believe it was a MoYou one.

I actually like how these two colours go together, contrast/clash or not......and I think this is the perfect Fuzzy Sweater!  Even thought I'm not as fond of some other of the colour combinations I came up with this week.....!

Here's the other ladies Day 1 manis!
