Irish You A Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve!

Started with a base of Zoya Hunter (thumb), Girly Bits They're After Me Lucky Charms (index and pinky), Polish 'M Holly Jolly Christmas (middle) and Painted Polish Celtic Crelly on a white soft focus base (Polished for Days; ring).

Topped Zoya Hunter with a coat of Pure Ice Yule Be Cool.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Applied doubleprocessed stamping images from Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 (dots using Painted Polish Blanc Slate) on top of image from MoYou London Festive 21 (shamrocks using MdU 39), with accent nail of shadow stamping using MdU 37 and 39 with image from UC mini: St. Patrick's Day 02.

I just came across a doubleprocessed stamping mani a couple weeks ago and after watching a tutorial on youtube on the weekend on how to do the method, practiced using the method a couple days ago until I (kinda) got the hang of it.  This is the first mani that I did using it and while it's not perfect, it wasn't too bad for the first time!  I did add a dot here and there where there were voids when the white didn't transfer near the edge of the green stamping.  But overall, I think this is a pretty cool way to add a little extra to stamping without much effort and can see that I will do it again!

Topped using KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Going Green!

I'm going green for March, but not in the ecological sense, sorry.  For the first half of March, I'll be  sharing St. Patrick's Day mani's starting with this one.

Started with a base of Pahlish Four Leaf Clover, Pahlish Honeydew and Stella Chroma Forever Twinkle (October 2019 PPU) which is on a white soft focus base.  Love these polishes all together!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped shamrocks using UberChic mini:  St. Patrick's Day using MdU 39, MoYou Festive 75 on the other nails, adding rainbows from Clear Jelly Stamper CjS H14 on the thumb using assortment of MdU and Painted Polish stamping polishes (with a few brush touchups on any stamping imperfections!).  The gold on the thumb is a Pure Ice St. Patrick's Day themed polish that I brushed on but I didn't take note of it sorry, but it was perfect for the pot-o-gold!

Topped using KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I think that Pahlish Four Leaf Clover is my most favourite St. Patrick's Day polish in my collex and I love the combination of the clovers using the MdU 39 as the stamping polish.  So if you think you have seen this combo before on the blog, you're not mistaken!  Also (and not that it matters), I had a crack on my index nail about halfway down the nail; I used acrylic strengthener on it until it reached the free edge, then cut down to nubs so you will see a bunch of mani's in the mix with these short nails.  Nubs don't mean I don't do my nails; I still do mani's as 1) love to do my nails regardless how short they are or how many hangnails I have or whatever the issue is and 2) still share them as someone out there, with short nails or not, might get some inspiration from them in their own mani's.  There is no shaming on nail length/condition, etc. here!  Please move on if it bothers you!

Digit-al Dozen Does My Home; Day 3

It's day 3 of the theme my home for Digit-al Dozen week!  This is my mani based upon one of my holiday towels in the bathroom at my house!  I've also decided to use this mani for the Nail Polish Canada holiday contest.  Please go here check out all the wonderful entries and vote for your favourite one! Thanks!

Started with a base of three coats of OPI My Wish List is You.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

For a festive look, added a thin coat of Pure Ice Yule Be Cool to accents.

Decided to add heavier coat to those nails, plus on the middle, then stamped thumb using MJ XXXVIII and ring with an image from Sugar Bubbles Special 02 using MdU 1.

Stamped pinky and index using same image from Messy Mansion MM30 and middle with SPH-004.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

My inspiration holiday towel. (It's clear I don't iron my towels lol!)

Digit-al Dozen Does 4; Day 3

My apologizes for not getting my Digit-al Dozen posts posted sooner; I had the mani's done for our weekly challenge but didn't have time to do the posts due to being busy with life and work, then getting ready for PolishCon!  This is another mani with four polishes used in total.

Started with a base of two coats of Pure Ice Bikini; shown below with no top coat.

Did a sponged gradient using Pure Ice Bikini and Piggy Polish Sleeping Blue-ty.

Topped with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

Stamped using Maybelline Navy Narcissist using an image from Star Nails.

Digital Dozen Does Traditions; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen week!  This month, our theme is traditions.  While they don't have to be centered around the holidays, because its so close to Christmas, all mine will be (I think, because I haven't finished all five yet; but that's the plan anyway lol).  For Day 1, I did a mani based on leaving a letter along with milk and cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, and carrots for the reindeer.  I did this as a child, as did my children. Some years, we even left Santa an onion because 'Santa' hates onions lol.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Pure Ice Shore Bet, two coats, no top coat.

Added coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

I wanted a little bit of background interest for the stamper decals i had made but not enough to overpower the images; went with an image from Messy Mansion MM40 using MoYou Falcon.  Top coated before applying stamper decals (no pix, as this post has enough lol).

I made five stamper decals for using images from Mundo de Unas MdU Christmas 3 (centre and ring), FUN 20 (index), Cheeky Home Sweet Home Jumbo 7 (pinky) and Big SdP P (no pix here because I messed up my first decal so had to make a second but continued along with the mani in interest of time).  For stamping polishes, used Girly Bits Emerald and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  Filled in the stamping using assortment of acrylics.

Mundo de Unas MdU Christmas 3

Added assortment of dots on the Christmas tree for interest.

My two favourite nails!

Added words from BundleMonster BM-S217 and snowflakes for filler.  I used the clear jelly stamper for the work placement but unfortunately,  the 'AS' at the end of Christmas didn't stamp well, so tried to remove it, then restamped just those two letters.

BundleMonster BM-S217

It was late by the time I finishedand my second thumb stamper decal wasn't dry enough to apply.  So in the morning, added the stamper decal on the thumb.

Thought that this decals would look better matte; added coat of OPI matte to finish.

I love how this turned out but it was a lot of work looking through plates, then planning all the nails, doing the decals, filling them, waiting for them to dry,  etc etc.  It would be nice to do something this creative every day but simply not enough time!

Mash Plates

There's been some buzz around the stamping world about the newly released Mash plates.  Mine arrived last week; this is what I came up with.

Started with a base of two coats of L'Oreal Now You Sea Me; no topcoat.  I haven't worn L'Oreal in awhile.   Not sure why...application was good and it looks beautiful after two coats.  I certainly have bought enough L'Oreal's that I could be wearing them on a regular basis.......

Decided to add a coat of Pure Ice Once Again! that I *think* I picked up at Walmart on one of my recent cross border shipping trips. I say *think* because I do think I did buy it at there.  It was sitting there with the other polishes that I had picked up.  But I got to thinking and my brain jarred back to a swap package that I had received not too long ago from KarenD over at Frazzle and Aniploish.  I was pretty sure she had sent along Once Again! as she knew my affinity for glitters and that Pure Ice isn't a brand readily available to me....and got to thinking that the bottles didn't look quite the same.....

So I plucked out the bottle from mailer and had a look at it and it looked wayyyyy different....and better than the bottle I had, as you can see below.  The bottle KarenD sent me was on the left (the really glittery one); the one I used for this mani is on the right (the milky, dud glitter one).

See?  They are both Once Again!

I got to looking again at the bottle I thought I bought and then noticed it had been previously used as there was a massive amount of polish on the bottle threads.  Now that doesn't surprise me because I thought I had bought it at Walmart and if you've shopped at Walmart before, I don't need to tell you what people do there to polishes.  Then I wondered if maybe this was a swapped bottle that maybe someone had frankened with?  Or maybe Puce Ice just needs to step up their quality control? Not sure, but none the less, even the bottle I *think* I bought gave cool enough results.  Some day, I'll have to compare how these two Once Again!'s look against one another but I couldn't do it at the time of this mani.  While I had received KarenD's package, she hadn't received mine and swapping etiquette calls that you don't use the polishes received until the other person has received their end satisfactory.  I'm sure KarenD wouldn't have minded, because we're only on our fifth gazillion swap now, (OK, maybe I exaggerated by 4.9999995 gazillion), but none the less, one of these days I'll have to do a comparison just to see.  The Once Again! KarenD sent looks so much sparklier. If the dud version looks this awesome, I can only imagine how the glittery one looks!

Anyway, stamped using Konad white special polish using Mash-45.

Pix of the plate.

Added dots to flowers using Konad pastel yellow stamping polish.

Decided to add a few dots to accent finger too.

Topped with SV.

The current series of Mash plates, 26-50, retail for $12.99; a great price for 25 plates!  I believe shipping is only available to US and Canada....and shipping to Canada was crazy expensive so I had them delivered to US and went and collected them.....gives me an opportunity to check out all the US hotspots for any new polishes...or dud Pure Ices!!!   The plates have an assortment of full nail designs and single images and the ones I've sampled so far stamp well....if you are interested in checking them out, please go here!
