Colourful Smooshy!

This is a mani I did a little over a year ago and haven't shared yet.  Too bad I didn't see it in the archives earlier to post as part of the Digit-al Dozen colours challenge; it would have been appropriate for sure!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a smooshy stamper base of KBShimmer Race Against Slime, Let's Be Frank, All The Bright Moves, Beach Please and Girly Bits I've Got High Hoops.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Infinity 116 using FunkyFingers Dark Night.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does Colours; Day 3

I'm a little late with sharing these nails but have had a couple wild and crazy days!  So this is a perfect time to share these wild and crazy nails for day 3 of the Digit-al Dozen colours challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

I wanted some bright and colourful nails so picked out these Potion Polishes:  High Roller, Lava Lamp, Punch Buggy, Celebration, On the List and V.I.P. Pass.

Did a stamper smooshy base.  I was surprised based on the colours that I had picked that the base wasn't brighter, but with smooshy stamper art, you take it as it falls lol.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Apipila Super Placa A using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

While I really loved how this turned out, I also thought it would be the perfect mani to matte. So the next day, topped with a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.  I love how it turned out too; I couldn't decide which I liked better!

Digit-al Dozen Does Colours; Day 1

It's day 1 of Digit-al Dozen week and our theme this month is colours!  Or colors, depending on how you spell it!  I don't think I have ever done a mani so fitting of a theme; this was actually a base that I had done for an Easter mani that I had in mind, but I couldn't find a negative space Easter egg image that I liked for it.  So it was spun into another mani.  I didn't do it specifically for this challenge but when I seen the colour theme was upcoming, I saved sharing it until now!  Here's what I came up with!

After applying a coat of OPI MBSW, started with a smooshy stamper base of KBShimmer Beach Please, All the Bright Moves and Great Lakes Lacquer The Fashion Artist.  It looks like way more polishes than this but this they either smooshed into different colours or I didn't note the rest.

Applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from BM-XL456 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Started with a stamper smooshy base using all Morgan Taylor polishes:  Strike A Posie, Pop-Arazzi Pose, Pretty As A Pink-Ture and Lip Service.  I was able to do all nails with the polish from one smoosh which made them pretty even looking after applying the base of the lightest polish.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 (pinky), Lina Let's Doodle 01 (index), Lina Born to Said 01 (ring) and Lesly Butterflies (thumb and middle) using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  This is sooo pretty to me just as it is!

Lesly Butterflies.

Stamped words on index using image from UberChic UC mini: Mother's Day a few times with different pinks but they weren't dark enough to show the words up but they were a good enough base to stamp over with white, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

UberChic mini: Mother's Day.

Have a good day if you are celebrating in one form or another!  Or even if you're not, this may give you inspiration for another mani anyway!

Pink Smooshy Floral

It looks all nice and warm outside today but it is still chilly!  Hopefully spring will arrive soon!  If only the weather was as hot as these nails!  lol.  Here's to wishing for some warmer weather soon!

Started with a smooshy stamper base using Nubar Amazon Coral, Strawberry, Caribbean Coral and FunkyFingers Gesso.  I just was thinking over the weekend that smooshy stamper method is probably one of my favourite ways to create a base for nail art.  You get some interesting base designs for not much effort.  Except cleanup!  I guess it is the next best thing for those who can't water marble (like me!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Konad The Most Popular Pattern with floral accents using Marianne Nails XXL 7 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I did Ms. Cindy just a little different; still like how she turned out though!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!  Hopefully you had a fantastic Christmas and enjoying the holiday season!

These nails were almost not to be even though I love how they turned out.  So several weeks ago, I made 4 decals on the stamper with the image on the middle finger.  I had been waiting for the time that I sat down to do my nails and was in the mood to do and wear this style of nails (hopefully I'm not the only person like this who has to be in the mood to wear a particular colour or finish or style, etc.  If you are, you get this!).  So anyway, made said stamper decals.  Hadn't been in the mood to do them.  Then maybe two weeks ago or so, I had nails longer than this and one nail had a little snag; before I knew it, that nail was down to nubs and the rest had to follow.  Well, I was in a real predicament for this design  then as these decals really needed longer nails.  Not to mention that I was tying up 5 stampers that were holding the decals.  So I waited a week or so for my nails to grow out a bit and decided a couple days before Christmas that I had to do them as the holiday season was going to be over before I would be wearing them!  So did my nails but then the decals had dried up and wouldn't stick even though the nails were topped with Orly Bonder.  So I had to coax them onto the nail the best I could but had to do some touch ups here and there on a couple of them.  I will have to keep this in mind for the future as I guess I'm used to doing stamper decals that are topped with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails and they are good to apply for a couple years!  These decals made on the stamper and applied direct are made more so to be applied right away so I'll have to keep this in mind and use them up right away.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of one thin, quick coat of FingerPaints Blissfully Blue, mainly in case the stamper squishy missed any spot.  Then did squishy stamper method using it, and KBShimmer Sky Jinks and I'd Rather Be With Blue.

Added some brush strokes of Nubar (to be updated) for interest.

Applied decals on the stamper on all fingers except ring.  The plates used were Creative Shop 36 (thumb) and Delaney Hiver A001 (index, middle and pinky).  The ring finger was stamped using image from Maniology M036.

Maniology M036

Added words to ring finger using Maniology M041.  I also stamped snowflake from same image on thumb.

Maniology M041.

I got to looking at my nails and was thinking why do all the trees have snow on them except the one on the index so hand painted in some snow (this is about the extent of my free hand skills!)

Love the thumb imagery!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

The next day, I got to thinking this might be a mani that looks better with a matte top coat, so applied a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Happy Thanksgiving! Plus Digit-al Dozen Does TV Shows; Day 1

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm sorry for posting so late but I didn't have time to do my post in advance and didn't expect to spend so much time driving today!  I am thankful to have enjoyed two turkey dinners with family and friends over the weekend and tonight, am enjoying turkey dinner leftovers.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend and have many things in your life to be thankful for!  I'm thankful for many things and thankful if you by chance happen to read this post given blogging is on the downward spiral haha!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of SpaRitual Kindness (which is also solo on the thumb), Turtle Tootsies Tailgating Makes Me Drive Slower!, Sally Hansen CSM Butterscotch and Yummy Yam, Girly Bits Butternut Leave Me Alone and Another Brick in the Fall. Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I made stamper decals using some of the same smooshy base polishes as well as MdU 8, 9, 53, 59 and 106. Images used are Creative Shop 91 (thumb), Delany Automne 003 (index), UberChic UC Mini:  Give Thanks Thanksgiving Special (middle and pinky) and Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 (ring).

I thought the words on the ring finger were too faint plus black is on every other finger so shadow stamped (not very well though) using MdU 2.

Topped everything off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It's also Digit-al Dozen challenge week; this week our challenge is TV Shows.  So these nails are also going to double duty and one of my favourite TV shows of the past being Married With Children and to tie it into today, the A Bundy Thanksgiving episode!  Oh that show cracked me up so often and I can remember just how different it was and out there compared to anything else being aired at the time.  Here's the youtube link if you care to watch it!

Here's the other ladies Day 1 mani's!
