Take Me To The Beach!

I pulled a bunch of summer themed plates and have been doing a lot of beach inspired mani's including this one.  Hopefully I don't get into a theme trap like I have been doing lately with a whole bunch of leaves in the fall, snowflakes in the winter, daisies in the spring...but I guess we'll see!  But just in case, be prepared to see lots of beach mani's like this one; here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base using Pahlish Cascades, China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond, Essie Style Cartel, Essie Viva Antigua! and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic UC Beach Plates (thumb and middle), What's Up Nails A019 (index), SugarBubbles SB 051 (pinky) and CreativeShop 84 (ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

What's Up Nails A019.

Shadow stamped with Painted Polish Deux 2.0 using same images.  Stamped some a little too tight, some a little too loose; one of these days I'll get it right!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a fantastic week and thanks for looking!

Easter Nails!

I always associate white lilies with Easter (aka Easter lilies) so always try to do a lily mani at Easter.  But as much as I do try to do them, they just don't seem to turn out the best no matter how much I try.  Even these, they are OK but I know I can do better!  But sharing them anyway, for inspiration sake if nothing else!

Started with a base of two coats of Girly Bits I Beg Your Garden?, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals using Star 113, applied them on top.  Unfortunately, they aren't the best.  Even though the black outline sat for 24 hours, it still smeared when I did the fill in with the white polish.  I tried not to load the brush too much nor dry brush across the outline but obviously I did something as still has a little smear.  *sigh*  This happen before on other Easter mani's; maybe one year I'll get it right!  I didn't apply the image that well on the index finger either; I wanted them all to look the same but failed even with clear stampers!  The other thing was the decals were brittle as I did the outline 48 hours before I wore them and then filled them in 24 hours before I wore them; they were dry and brittle and cracked in a couple spots when the decals were applied.  I'll have to remember to apply them sooner next time to try to avoid the cracks.

For the ring finger, I removed all the lines to leave the space for the words.

Topped accent with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Shadow stamped words from UC Yay Spring! on accent nail then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish  but unfortunately, the shadow wasn't as tight as I would prefer and also had a little tc smear

Have a pleasant Good Friday, long weekend if you are an essential worker and #stayhome!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  May you have a skip in your step, find a pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow and enjoy green beer today!  And watch out for those mischievous leprechauns!

I had pulled a lot of green polishes from my stash and at some point, I knew I couldn't wear them all but wanted to wear some of them at least.  So I picked a few favourites that I hadn't had a chance to wear in some time (or ever, as in the case of at least one!) and decided on a green skittle base.  The polishes used, starting at thumb and going clockwise, are Darling Diva Do or Do Not, There is No Try, Darling Diva On the White Cliffs of Dover Sat a Poet, Painted Polish Shamrock Your World, Scofflaw Drop Dead Fred and Lilypad Lacquer Frogs Alive.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped images from UberChic mini:  St. Patrick's Day 2 (pinky and index), Messy Mansion MM04 (ring) and MoYou Festive 21 (middle and thumb) using MdU 37 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Shadow stamped the ring finger using same MM04 with MdU 37, then added a whollllleeee lot of mini shamrocks on the middle and a few on the thumb using MoYou Festive 21.  Every. single. one. of those mini shamrocks on the middle finger were individually stamped.  Thank you, clear jelly stamper!

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Enjoy your day and thanks for looking!

Let It Snow! Yes, Yet Another Snowflake Mani!

Not a snowflake in sight today but this was another favourite snowflake mani I did this winter season so wanted to make sure I got it posted before spring!  So many mani's, not enough time!

This base was destiny waiting to happen; these two polishes were sitting side by side when I was looking for a polish to wear in my stash.  Girly Bits OOAK withe accent of Girly Bits Sugar Beach IEC Toronto 2017.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from MM30 (middle and index), B. Loves B.05 Let It Snow (pinky and thumb) and Marianne Nails Professional n.31 (ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Decided to shadow stamp the accent finger using MdU 14.  It was a perfect match to the base colour on the rest of the nails, although it doesn't look so much like it here.  But it was.  Take my word for it!

Topped everything off with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year!

I know I'm a few days late but thought I would share them anyway!  No other time that a rat will be on my nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of OPI Black Onyx, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Sally Hansen Cherry Delight; all two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I had premade a couple stamper decals for the index and middle fingers using Sugar Bubbles SB 043 and Maniology M083 respectively.  Also used MoYou Zodiac 13 (pinky and thumb), Maniology M044 (symbol on ring) and Maniology M083 again for the words on the ring finger.  Stamping polishes used are Konad red special polish, Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Hit the Bottle To Have and to Gold including for the shadow stamping.

Maniology M083

Added a few blossoms on the middle finger using Maniology M083, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added a few dots for filler and interest using Konad red special polish and Hit the Bottle To Have and to Gold.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs Collide; Day 5

My final Digit-al Dozen mani for the colours collide challenge is another Halloween mani!  How is it that orange, green and purple are colours that clash, but they go oh, so well together for Halloween?  One of life's burning questions apparently lol! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, OPI Did It On 'Em, OPI Summer Lovin' Having A Blast, and OPI Positive Vibes Only.  Added a couple coats of KBShimmer Hide and Eek on the OPI MBSW bases.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using MdU 11, stamped images from Delaney Halloween A001 (thumb and index), Creative Shop 108 (middle), Delaney Halloween 006 (ring) and Maniology M056 (pinky).

Creative Shop 108.

Maniology M056

Shadow stamped using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief using plates as noted above, except that I removed the stamping on the pinky and used an image from Lina Spooklicious! 03 instead.

Lina Spooklicious! 03.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's the other ladies day 5 mani's!
