Snowflakes!!!

It's forecasting some snow later on today so, snow better time to share a snowflake mani!  I've done snow many snowflake mani's already; I've been attracted to them like I was to leaves in the fall.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of of two coats of Girly Bits Hear the Window Blow Sample Batch.  I *think* this was a polish I picked up this summer at Indie Expo Canada.  Yes, I do seem to recall it was there....I remember Jenny of The Dot Couture and I both looking at all the one offs at the same time and I picked it up before she did!  So glad I did!  Hmm, I was just a Jenny's site and on her IG account and seen she hasn't posted in while; I hope it's just a short break and that's she's doing OK!

Topped with a coat of Cuticula Daydreamer Micro Silver Holo Flakes Topper.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from MoYou Festive 02 and 03 using FunkyFingers Gesso, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  This was one of those times that I wanted to do my nails but didn't have a whole lot of time so went with something pretty easy. Still turned out great, I think!

This is one of those polishes that I'm always afraid that the base will turn the stamping blue or purple but I was happy to report that the white stayed as white as snow!

Distressed Nails!

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a great one and all the best to you throughout the entire year!  How about we start the new year with a stunner!

I'm hard pressed to pick if I like the shiny or matte version of these nails but when I look at them, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice!

Shiny.....

.....or matte?

Started with a base of two coats of Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish Sing 'em Good (March 2019 PPU), no top coat.  This could be a one coater I think, but I did two.  I have to say, this is the first time using a Poetry Cowgirl polish even though I have a few and OMG, am loving it!  Loved the formula, application was easy, no brush issues, no staining, easy clean up, almost a one coater and awesome looking polish....what's not to love???!!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I do have to say, I was hesitant to stamp over this beautiful polish!  But I did and think the stamping goes well with the base.  I used an image from  Marianne Nails n.120 using Mdu stamping polishes 68, 102 and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I thought the distressed look of the stamping would look cool matte, so topped with a coat of Glisten  Glow matte and wasn't disappointed!

Hope you are enjoying the first few days of the New Year....thanks for looking!

Happy New Year!

It's New Year's Eve...and in just a few short hours, it will be a new year...a new decade even....as we welcome 2020!  These are the nails that I'll be wearing to ring in the New Year!

After doing one coat of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, did a sponged gradient of Color Club Peace Out Purple (which is really pink!), Mrs. Robinson and Island Vibes, no top coat.  This was easily one of the easiest gradients I have ever done!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  All I could think of at this point was I hope I don't wreck it with the stamping!

First, I shadow stamped the thumb with image from Maniology M037 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief.  Then stamped image from MoYou Festive 39 on thumb, SugarBubbles SBS18 on index, Maniology m02 on middle and ring and Powder Perfect Celebration 1 on pinky all using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Maniology M037.  This is the plate that I used to shadow stamp the thumb stars before I stamped the words.  I cannot believe that I actually lined up those little dots not too badly or the shadow stamping!

Shadow stamped using same images using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I hope you have a safe New Year's Eve and all the best to you as we welcome the new year and decade...the Roarin' 20's!

Jewel Toned Sweater Nails

These are too pretty to be ugly sweater nails, at least to me!  I love how bright they were; perfect for those blah winter days when I was wearing them!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Painted Polish skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Belle of the Ball, Seeing Stars, Party Fowl, Seeing Stripes and Grinch Green.  Can't say how many coats as some where just a couple; others were 3-4 plus some dabbing, etc. etc.

Creative Shop 112.

Stamped using Painted Polish Blanc Slate using image from Creative Shop 112.  Even with a clear stamper, I still mess up the placement!

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Still Sharing Christmas Mani's!

Today is a relaxing day just lounging around the house, eating leftover turkey sandwiches and watching movies most of the day!  I thought I'd share the nails that I was wearing on Christmas day and still wearing today...they might even be my favourite of the season this year although those cute reindeer nails that I shared yesterday are hard to beat! Here's what I came up with!

I wish I could water marble; in my mind, I had a wonderful green, red and white water marble in my head that I wanted as the base.  But I have no water marble skills, so did the next best thing; stamper smooshy base.  It turned out like a hot mess and was a PITA to clean up even though I used latex but even though it is kinda the ugliest smooshy base you ever did see, it was a great base in hindsight for the stamping!  This is OPI Envy the Adventure, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Color Club Catwalk.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from What's Up Nails B003 (index, thumb and pinky), Messy Mansion MM30 (middle) and Lina Can't Wait for Xmas! 02 (ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.   I have to say, I love the ring finger; I thought it would be a cool mani if all nails were stamped with it but there's always next year!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, with accents of CbL Last Harvest and O Canada.

Topped thumb with a thin coat of KBShimmer Holly Back Girl.  Also topped the holos with OPI DS Shimmer for some more holo!  Then coated all with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a sponged gradient on two nails using OPI Envy the Adventure and Color Club Catwalk.

Stamped the holo accent nails with image from Delaney Lignes & Traits with Painted Polish Blanc Slate, the gradient nails with Dixie Plates Christmas 2018 with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and the thumb with Marianne Nails n.127 using Konad red.

Added a couple dots on the reindeer using same polishes that were used in the gradient.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve!  I'm spending a low key evening, mainly waiting for Santa to put the gifts under the tree and fill the stockings!  Uhum, guess who is Santa? lol.  I did these nails a couple nights ago; they are kind out of my wheelhouse but I had a thought about trying the Hit the Bottle jelly polishes and thought I would give it a try!  First time using the Hit the Bottles jellies but they worked out really well and are really pigmented; I could see myself reaching for them on a regular basis, that's for sure!  I love how vibrant they are against the black!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI Black Onyx (no pix, as have shared before).  Stamped with images from Marianne Nails n.118 (index and middle), UberChic Christmas-01 (ring), UberChic Merry Christmas (words on thumb), W232 (wreath on thumb), and Delaney Noel A001 (pinky) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

UberChic Merry Christmas

I'm not entirely sure if you are suppose to top coat first or just paint on top of the white base but I just waited a good amount of time to make sure the white stamping polish was dry, then applied Hit the Bottle polishes in Fireball, Shamrock and Bumble Bee.  I love how pigmented they are; they are a bright pop of colour against the dark base!

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve and thanks for looking!
