April Showers!

With May right around the corner, I think it's time to share April Showers, as you know they bring may flowers!

Started with three coats of Pahlish April Showers, no top coat.  What a pretty polish!  I love this shade of blue and the bright blue shards are a nice added touch!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Marianne Nails n81 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Purple Tone on Tone

This isn't quite a pastel purple for spring nails but I think it's a nice mani to share now anyway!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Gel Couture 200 Labels Only, no top coat.  I'm not a fan of this type of finish; I thought it was a creme...horrible lighting at Shoppers Drug Mart is to blame.

So topped with Polished for Days Rainbow of Imagination, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Polished used.

Stamped using image from LilyAnna 13 using Painted Polish Stamped in Periwinkle.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

So pretty!

Spring!

I miss doing nails like these.  It seems nowadays when I do my nails, I struggle to pick a polish and then take even longer to pick an image for my nails unless I have something in mind.  Sometimes too much choice is a bad thing.  So it was a nice change to see that I haven't posted these nails from last year and I think they make a really nice spring mani to share now.

Started with a base of Scofflaw Indifferent Cats in Amateur Porn (glitter polish), with accent nails of Picture Polish Pinkie and OPI Pear-Adice Cove, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 (dots) with accent nails of UberChic UC 7-01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added a few dots using the creme base polishes for interest and filler.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It makes me want to do another mani like this soon!  Hopefully, I'll get those dots stamped straight next time!

Circles!

Circles...isn't that a great song by Post Malone?  It's one of the songs on my playlist that I listen to if I don't feel like listening to the radio when doing my nails.  You might think that was the inspiration for these nails, but nope.  Just made me think of it when I started to do this post.

I did these nails over the past winter when I was sporting nubbins after having cut down my nails while waiting for a cracked nail on my index finger that I finally cut after it grew to the free edge.  Except then, it kept on breaking so they were shorter for longer than normal.  But that's OK; I still do my nails regardless of length, condition, etc. and as I've mentioned many times before, I think dark colours look best on me on short nails so use that time to wear them, versus my more typical blues or brights.

Started with a base of Great Lakes Lacquer Toronto #8, no top coat, then stamped using MdU 124 using EdM 06.  (I didn't do the base as I didn't think I was going to share this mani, but once I stamped it, I took a few pictures, so decided to share it.)

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  I love this picture; you can see the sparkle!

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!!

Started with a stamper smooshy base using Essie Amuse Me, Color Club Martian, Martian, Martian and OPI Coastal Sand-tuary, no top coat.  I wanted to represent land, earth and trees with this colour scheme and it turned out exactly as I had hoped!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from MdU Earth Day 1 (thumb, ring, pinky), , MdU Earth Day 2 (image on pinky) and Creative Shop 80 (index, words on middle, imagines on pinky) using Hit The Bottle Cooking Up A Storm and Painted Polish Woodland Whimsey.

Can i just point out that for the earth image on the index, how perfectly the green goes on land and the blue is where the oceans area....unintentional but perfect!  I mean, I planned it perfectly and it worked so well (big eye roll lol).

MdU Earth Day 1

MdU Earth Day 2

Creative Shop 80

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added matte top coat using Essie Matte About You for different look.  I like it!

Remember, we only have one earth.  Be kind to it!
