Fiendish Fancies You're Hysterical Henry!

July 31st and summer has finally arrived here in Southern Ontario!  Well, it's been nice for a couple days now and we've had some nice weather the odd day here and there, but really, it hasn't been the best summer weather wise.  But today is beau-ti-ful!!

How about some hot nails for a hot summer day?  This is a new to me brand, Fiendish Fancies, that was at Indie Expo Canada and I couldn't resist picking up this hot pink loaded with shimmer, You're Hysterical Henry!

Started with a base of two coats of Fiendish Fancies You're Hysterical Henry.  There were no application issues and clean up was a breeze!

Top coated.

Stamped using an image from FUN 25 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Layering Fun with Girly Bits Shift Happens!

I was so excited when I found out that Girly Bits was going to have some bottles of Shift Happens for sale at the Indie Expo Canada event back in June!   If I bought nothing else at the show, I had to come home with a bottle! I was lucky enough to snag one and it was one of my first polished that I used, I just haven't gotten around to sharing on the blog (have shared a few on IG).  This is Girly Bits Shift Happens over another fabulous polish that was available via the IEC VIP bag, Great Lakes Lacquer Love at Hyatt Regency!

Started with a base of two coats of two coats of Great Lakes Lacquer Love at Hyatt Regency, no top coat.

Added a coat of Girly Bits Shift Happens.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping.

Stamped with a couple of  images from FUN 23 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added a few dots using MdU 65 for some interest.

Fun, Summer Nails!

I did these easy, fun nails quickly last night!

I was in the mood for blue, so went with Pahlish Drink Me; this is two coats, no top coat.

Added KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using MdU 52 using an image from XY-B05. I tried to pick an image that had lots of voids so you could see the base well underneath!  Yeah to me for remembering to use a colour stamping polish as I use black or white most of the time!

To add some colour and interest, I added dots in an assortment of sizes using FunkyFingers Gesso.  (I think my polish was a little thick and some of the dots didn't turn out as nice as I would have liked, but ce la vie!)

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It seems that the lazy days of summer are now upon us; these are perfect fun summer nails (to me, anyway!)

Digit-al Dozen Does (5 Days, 5) Continents; Day 4

For day 4 of Digit-al Dozen does 5 continents in 5 days, I went with (what I hope is) Japanese cherry blossoms representative of Asia.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a sponged gradient base using Barry M Grey, London Butter Sprog, Nails Inc. Mayfair Mansion Mews and Beyond Daydreamer.

Added KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping.

Stamped using images from Delaney Asiatique 001 using MdU 2.

Delaney Asiatique 001

Added cherry blossoms using image from same plate using white, light and deep pinks.

Added branches again from Delaney Asiatique 001, then stamped on the crane on missing finger from UberChic UC The Far East 002 (wished it had have been higher, but sigh!  Even with clear stamper, still get it wrong lol)

UC The Far East 02

A mini piece of art!  Love!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I could not believe how many countries there were in Asia when I was researching the theme; I guess it's been a while since I did geography! I thought of so many other mani's based on other countries I could do and it was hard to narrow it down to this...but food for thought for future nails!

Digit-al Dozen Does (5 Days, 5) Continents; Day 3

Continuing this week with doing 5 continents in 5 days for Digit-al Dozen challenge, this not often attempted free hand mani is suppose to be icicles being representative of Antarctica.  (This is why you do not see free hand art on these nails often lol!)  Here's what I came up with!

I didn't keep track of polishes for this, but I know this base is from Pure Ice.

This is a bunch of dry brush strokes gone on a rampage!

Added a whole lot of scattered holo polish to represent icicles from the sparkle when the sun hits the ice in an icicle!  Unfortunately, I couldn't capture the sparkle due to the lack of sun while taking these pictures.

Digit-al Dozen Does (5 Days, 5) Continents; Day 2

Continuing with the Digit-al Dozing does 5 days of continents in 5 days,  this is what I did for day 2; my ode to Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.

I thought that Tonic The Place's You'll Go would be a great base for underwater with the variety of shades that this awesome multichrome provides.  This is three coats, no topcoat.  Lots of pictures to show all it's facets!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped the ocean floor.

Polynesia BM-XL107

Added fish and other creatures using more images.  The images in the entire mani are from Polynesia BM-XL107, MoYou Sailor Collection-01, MoYou Sailor Collection-08, MoYou Sailor Collection-10 and JR 24.  Stamping polishes were MdU 11, 29, 39, 46, 51 and MoYou Pink!.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
