Stars!

Hard to believe that I did these nails almost three years ago and they hadn't been shared yet so there is no time like present, as the saying goes!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars, no top coat.  This is one of my absolute favourite polishes; it is the perfect back drop for so many different looks for stamping, has holo, sparkle...what else can you ask for! I have several back ups of this which says how much I love it as I don't have many back ups now in my collection.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Lina Make Your Mark 04 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, then added dots using Color Club Peace out Purple, no top coat.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does Wool/Copper; Day 2

For today's Digit-al Dozen wood/copper theme, I'm sharing these sweater nails.  Sweaters can be made from wool so they are theme appropriate, so I thought I'd share them now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of one coat of B Polished Bad Ideas, which was from September 2018 Polish Pick Up, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with MdU 73 using image from Lina Make Your Mark 02, with accent of Lina Make Your Mark 04 using Funky Fingers Gesso.

Double stamped all fingers except accent using same Lina Make Your Mark 02 plate using Funky Fingers Gesso, then added a few complimentary dots on accent nail using MdU 73 for interest and filler.

Here's the sweater I was wearing that I did the nails to match!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

P.S.  I recognize my sweater is not made from wool.  I've taken some liberties with the theme!

More Butterflies!

Another butterfly mani; I did these a little over a year ago but didn't get around to sharing them.  Not sure why because I love this mani; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Sawyer, no top coat.

Sponged Zoya Tangy at the base of the nails for some interest.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Lina Make Your Mark 04 using MdU 33.

Added butterflies Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 01 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Is It Spring Yet??

Still anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring here!  While it has been sunny, it is still bone chilling cold with lots of wind and no sight of flowers or robins or the normal indicators of spring yet, sadly.  Hopefully it's not too long before the nicer weather arrives!  At least we haven't had snow...knock on wood!

Here's some bright nails to go along with the bright sun we've been having; even if it hasn't been overly warm.

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Arizona, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Pepper Pot Polish Queen of the Galaxy (April 2018 PPU).

I had an oops moment when I realized that I had a stamper decal made so changed out the accent with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  In hindsight, the orange base would have been OK but it wasn't what I had in mind when I did my nails.

Stamped using an image from Lina Make Your Mark 04 using MdU 1, 9 and 106.  Accent is a stamper decal from Creative Shop 91 using Pepper Pot Polish Queen of the Galaxy in the center and MdU 106 for the petals.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hope you're having a great day and thanks for looking!

Digit-al Dozen Does Texture; Day 2

This is another one of those Valentine's Day manis that isn't in typical colours.  When I was searching through my stash of texture polishes, I came across this and because I was in the midst of doing Valentine's nails, I was like, how can I turn this into a VDay mani? I know it isn't your typical mani in your typical colours but hopefully it calls out to someone!  I can think of a few ladies who are into fugly colours who might love it! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Love & Beauty Sand Lacquer Antique Burnished Gold, no top coat.  My test nail, which was one coat, was a little bit more textured; I will have to try to do one coat only when using these texture polishes as sometimes, they are less textured with more coats of polish.

Stamped using Lina Make Your Mark 04 using a scraped gradient of MdU 88 and 99.  I think given the unusual base colour that these two colours complimented the base well!  I was also happy to use these two stamping polishes as I don't think I have used them before!

Here's a close up of the thumb; I think the gradient stamping was pretty good!

Here are the other ladies day 2 mani's!

Digit-al Dozen Does Texture; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen week!  Our theme this month is texture!  I actually like texture nail polish and crack it open every so often.  I did these nails back in December and was going to post them as part of sharing winter mani's but then I remembered our DD texture theme coming up so held off on posting them until now.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Sunshine with accents of three coats of Zoya Nyx.

Stamped lines on accents using Lina Make Your Mark 04 using MdU 3 (I love when the stamping polish matches the nail polish so well!)

Stamped snowflakes on the other nails using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

I thought I was done but decided to add a another snowflake on each of the accent nails for some interest.  I'm glad I did; I like this version best!

Here's the other ladies day 1 texture mani's!

More Snowflakes!

We knew it was too good to be true that winter was over.  Rain washed away the snow last week then a few mild days over the weekend but it was too good to last with the snow that arrived again these last couple of days.  It wasn't too bad thankfully but good enough reason to share more snowflake mani's! Here's one I came up with not too long ago!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Bespoke Boo-Ya!, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina Make Your Mark 4 with accents of Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 1 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I had painted accent stones with Pahlish Bespoke Boo-Ya! and added them to a few fingers.

Did a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
