Beach Days!

It's about this time of year that we're all counting the days until we can lounge at the beach or around the pool and some are lucky folks are lucky enough to go down south to somewhere warm around this time of year and if you are one of them, I'm jealous!  In the meanwhile, the rest of us will have to settle with beach nails!

Did a sponged gradient using KBShimmer Sky Jinx, KBShimmer In Yacht Water and Girly Bits Sea You Next Fall.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Moyra 66 (words on ring), SugarBubbles SB31 (index), Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 01 (pinky) and UberChic Beach Please (thumb, middle and images on ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped using Painted Polish Blanc Slate to finish.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your trip down south if you are lucky enough to be travelling!

Digit-al Dozen Does Christmas in July, Day 4

These wild and crazy nails are for day 4 of  Christmas in July challenge for Digit-al Dozen!  Santa chillax-ing in the pool with Rudolph, and laying under the lit palm trees!  And how cute is that too tight Hawaiian shirt from Santa indulging in all those cookies on the index finger?  Accent is reindeer and Santa;s sleigh sailing over the palm trees!  Perfect for Christmas in July challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Zoya Tilda on index, OPI It's A Boy on middle, sponged gradient of Fancy Gloss Neon Blue and Blue Skies on thumb and pinky and Fancy Gloss Neon Orange, Neon Orange/Yellow and Neon Yellow on ring finger.  Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I had made a couple stamper decals from Creative Shop 157.

Applied them to thumb and middle.  Also did a decal using same image plate Creative Shop and applied it directly on the index.  Stamped ring finger using images from Betina B-19 and Chez Delaney Noel A007 using MdU 2.  Pinky is stamped with image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 01 using MdU 1..

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added a few stamper decals to make the Hawaiian shirt on the index finger using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 02 and MdU polishes.  Also added some white trim to Santa's hats on middle and thumb, as well as more colourful bulbs/lights on the thumb.  Added beach sand using Zoya Godiva on thumb and pinky.  For this mani, I used MdU 1, 2, 9, 11, 52, 81, 91 and 101 in some capacity.  I also used an assortment of regular polishes to fill in the stamper decals but didn't keep track of them; however, they were mainly older CND's.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Thought that matte topcoat might show up some of imagery better, so added a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.

Here's the other ladies day 4 mani's!

Hello Summer!...I Mean Good-bye Summer!

You know you're behind with your blog posts when you're posting your Hello Summer nails the day before fall officially arrives, not to mention you didn't even get around to sharing your Hello Spring nails at all!  I guess there is always next year!  I did these nails way back in June 2018 right after Indie Expo Canada; in fact the base polish was bought at IEC 2018 and it was the first polish I used right after the show.  Too many other things to share but there's no time like the present as the saying goes!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Paint It Pretty Polish Indigo Rises, two coats.  Unfortunately, this mani shows my nails pretty much at their worst right after IEC; if you have read my posts you will know that I had been dealing with a wonky middle finger for months and how the skin all around it peeled, etc.  Well, this is one of the mani's where the skin was the worst.  I know it looks like hangnail city; it wasn't, it was peely skin and trying to remove it and it being sore and thin.  A lot of the pix, I tried to strategically hold my nails just so to try to diminish it, but sometimes, like here, I wasn't that successful.

Stamped using images from Marianne Nails Professional n.16 (thumb and index) and Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 01 (ring, middle and pinky) using MdU 1, 49 and 68.

My favourite nail; even when I shrunk the image, it still barely fit!

I think this was a great send off to summer; tomorrow, I'm share nails to welcome the arrival of fall!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!
