Pahlish Test Batch: Canyon Sunrise

A gal in the Pahlish FB group had posted a few mystery Pahlishes and I absolutely fell in love with one of them.  Little did I know at the time that I had one on the way to me from buying my own Pahlish mysteries so you would not believe how excited I was when my package arrived and I discovered I too got a bottle! (And low and behold I even got a backup bottle when I bought another mystery as yet another bottle was sent while the first one was in transit!)  This is Pahlish Test Batch:  Canyon Sunrise!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Test Batch:  Canyon Sunrise, no top coat.  There is a very slight holographic to this dusty coral.  There were no application or clean up issues.

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

Stamped using an image from BundleMonster BM-XL206 using FunkyFingers Gesso placing it a little bit different on each finger.

While not overly obvious, added a little glitter sparkle using Sally Hansen Shake Shake then topped it all off with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

I think this will be an interesting polish as a base for some brown, mustard yellow or even some interesting greens stamped during the fall.  Lots of possibilities even thought this isn't your typical colour!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas Does Hot Pink

Late again for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Does Hot Pink challenge; I had added prompt of skittles!

For the skittles, picked assortment of hot pink polishes, purposely trying to have a few different finishes for some interest.  Starting at thumb and going clockwise, polishes are Girly Bits Julia, Glam Polish Unforgettable Dream, Smitten/Dreamland Pool Noodle, Colors by llarowe Frenzy and Crazy Polish Lady Strawberry Swing.  All are two coats except Pool Noodle which is 3 and Frenzy which is 4.  I had forgotten that Frenzy is also a skin and nail stainer which might not have been too bad for it was also very thin and I did a newbie move and flooded my cuticles then had pink stained skin for the rest of my pix.

Topped everything off with a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

Stamped using assortment images from MoYou Tropical Collection 15 and 16 using Funky Fingers Gesso.

MoYou Tropical Collection-16 (with a sneak peak of my red polka dot jammies!)

Finished with a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

Even though I had on base coat, I still have a hot pink accent from Colors by llarowe Frenzy.  I've tried several known methods to in an attempt to remove the staining, but nothing has worked yet.

Here's the other ladies Hot Pink mani's with their various prompts!

Go, Raptors!

Well, tonight's Game 6  is do or die for the Toronto Raptors so I thought I would do a mani to support the home team! Go, Raptors, Go!!

Started with a base of four (yes, four!) coats of Vapid Snow Fox with an accent of two coats of Kiara Sky Stylette, all shown with no top coat.

Topped with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

Made two stamper decals using an image from Bundle Monster BM-XL185 (middle) and MJ XXIV test (thumb); outline is Funky Fingers Dark Knight and filled in with Sinful Colors Textured Burn Rubber. Unfortunately, the texture didn't show up as much as I wanted as I thought it would be quite realistic to a basketball but think it was too thick.  Added other images from BM-XL185 to index and pinky using Funky Fingers Dark Knight and lastly stamped the ring finger with MdU 9 using another image from MJ XXIV test.

Bundle Monster BM-XL185

Added a few filler stars to ring finger using same BM-XL185 plate.  Then, added a couple dots to the ring and index finger using MdU 13.

Topped everything off with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish.

The game starts in about half and hour and I'll be glued to the TV anxiously watching the outcome!

Pahlish April 2016 Duo

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  It looks like summer has finally arrived here in Ontario; we had beautiful weather for sure over the weekend!

I was on the fence on whether or not I was going to order any of the Colors by llarowe stamping polishes but I eventually did; this mani was the first time I used any of them (although I shared a later mani already for Mother's Day but this was actually the first time using any of them) and I really like how sparkly the stamping shows up!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Cried For The Moon; one half of the Pahlish The Delicate Sound of Thunder April 2016 Duo.

Topped with one coat of Pahlish Crazy Diamond, which was the other half of the duo.

Topped with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

Stamped using MoYou Fashionista Collection-04 using Colors by llarowe Royalty Stamping Polish.

Topped with a final coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish which really made the stamping polish stand out!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas Does Music

Today's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge is music; instead of doing something more traditional, I did a Snoop Dogg mani!  I feel like such a real rebel wearing this; so out of my comfort zone as I've never taken anything stronger than an aspirin and have never even tried smoking never mind illegal drugs but here's what I came up with!  (I hope no one gets the wrong idea if they see this on my nails as I even wore it to work today!)

Started with a base of two coats each of CND Bicycle Yellow and Pahlish Pistache, no top coat.

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

Sponged Colors by llarowe Camo on the Pahlishes.

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

The next steps took some time and I did some stamping while waiting for polishes to try so no real step by stamp but pretty self explanatory.  Taped off accent nails and did stripes using CND Poppyfield and CND Green Scene; stamped on the sponging using MdU 11, 8 and FUN red stamping polishes using MoYou Back to the 60's -01 and FUN clear jelly stamper for placement.

MoYou Back to the 60's-01

I had pulled this plate as thought I might use it but the image was a little too big; Bundle Monster BM07.

Topped with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC.

The great thing about the jelly stamper is you can place the images on top of your base imperfections! Stamped ring finger using FunkyFingers Dark Knight using MoYou Roxy Collection-06 and same image from MoYou Back to the 60's-01 on the thumb.

Finished with a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish.

Here's the other music mani's!

Thanks for looking; have a great (long if you are in Canada) weekend!
