Waves!

I used to do these gradient type of nails all the time but I haven't done them in a while.  These nails are from 2021 and I'm not even sure I've done them since, although I'm not sure why as I think these are kinda cool!  Here's what I came up with!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I did these nails for Canadian Thanksgiving this year in October; however, life was busy and I wasn't able to post them then, so am posting them today for US Thanksgiving.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Lace Me Up, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Dixie Plates Autumn 03.

Stamped using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS LC-56 (pinky and index), CjS LC-57 (pumpkin and flower on thumb), Dixie Plates Autumn 03 (middle and ring), UberChic UC mini: Hello Fall and Pumpkin Spice (words on thumb) using MdU 52, 53 and 50.

Happy Thanksgiving if you are celebrating today!

Abstract Fall Leaves

There's still lots of fall leaves out and about; however, with the rain and heavy winds that we had this weekend, I think they won't be around too much longer.  I wanted to do something a little different than the traditional fall nails that I usually post so did these abstract fall nails; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen Colour Therapy Chai for Life, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Dixie Plates Abbey's Abstracts

Nicole Diary 247

Stamped solid abstract images using images from Dixie Plates Abby's Abstracts using MdU 32, 114 and 122.  Then stamped using abstract leaf images from Nicole Diary 247 using Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Green Ribbons!

This is another great image for stamping that has some interest and lets lots of the base polish or polishes as in this case, shine through!

Topped using Penelope Luz Sunset in Rio, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

#peaceforukraine

Not much to explain here; I hope this war ends soon.

Started with a base of KBShimmer Chick Me Out, Orly Blue Tango and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.

Added coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After dry brushing middle, stamped images from MoYou London Back to the 70s 04 (thumb), Dixie Summer 01 (middle) and MdU ZZ Hippie (rest) using MdU 11 and MdU 30.

Tropical Sunset!

It's the last hurrah of summer this weekend!  I'm sure it won't be the very last good summer-like weather weekend but the leaves are sure starting to turn colour, the days are shorter and it is getting cooler especially at night, that's for sure!  So let's all pretend we are going to have lots of summery tropical weather like July (hottest on record!) and bask in these tropical nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen Violet Voltage, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After they dried for a bit, did a sponged gradient using same Sally Hansen Violet Voltage as well as KBShimmer Breaking Blues and Color Club Warhol.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Dixie Plates Tropical Paradise

Stamped using images from Dixie Plates Tropical Paradise using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Enjoy your long weekend if you have one and even if you don't, be safe!

Cherry Blossoms!

I've been seeing some pictures of cherry blossoms; hard to believe that the weather is warm enough for this as we certainly don't seem to have warm enough weather for much budding right now.  Although I guess I do see a few buds on the trees and sprouts of plants coming up.  But man, it is chilly!  And windy!  Hopefully warmer weather is right around the corner!  I haven't done cherry blossom nails in a while (if ever, come to think of it) but have done a couple so far this year so thought I'd start sharing as part of my spring sharing right now.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Enchanted Disco H20 (teal) with accent nails of Elevation Polish The Cow's Mouth.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made a stamper decal from Creative 167 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, then filled in with MdU 20, Painted Polish Stamped in Rose and Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Enchanted Disco H20.  Also stamped the branches for the blossoms on the rest of the nails using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief from Dixie Plates DP10.

Edited post to add Creative Shop 167 pix.

Added the cherry blossoms to the branches from Dixie Plates DP10 using same polishes from the middle; MdU 20, Painted Polish Stamped in Rose and Painted Polish Blanc Slate by doing an gradient on the plate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added either black dots on some blossoms or the tri-colours on others as centers of the blossoms.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Edit:  I loved this picture shared on Riyets on IG recently and thought it was appropriate to this mani!
