I Love When A Mani Comes Together!

I love when a mani comes together!  This is a perfect mani to me.  Even though the polish application may not be the best, the clean up may not be the best, the stamping could be better, etc., but it just is perfect to me.  Everything I love about doing my nails is in this manicure.  A great base, with some layering for added interest, and then topped with a stamped design that has lots of interest, yet shows the beauty of the base to shine through.  I know that I have used this image so many times, but I can't help myself.  

Started with a base of three coats of China Glaze I Got A Blue Attitude, no top coat.

Topped with Rogue Lacquer It Just Makes Me Happy (PPU December 2023), no top coat.

After applying KBShimmer Clearly on Top, stamped using image from Moyra 52 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

After applying Apipila no smear top coat, topped with a coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze, then topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Loads of Hearts!

There's not much more traditional for Valentine's day as a red and white nail and so many hearts!

Started with a base of Rogue Until The Last Petal Falls (HHCMarch 2023) over Orly Monroe's Red, with accent nail of Zoya Yuki over Cupcake White Pop.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from OM-H03 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, with Moyra 74 Romantique on accent, using Moyra SP 906.

Snow...Go Away!

So here in Southern Ontario, this weekend past, we had as much snow as we had all of last year.  Needless to say, we got quite a bit; however, it pales in comparison to the amount of snow that has fallen in the snow belt this winter in other parts of Ontario.  I stayed in (couldn't go anyplace anyway, as it took over 24 hours for the plow to go down our street, although I think it may have been passable with effort anyway) and did some needed decluttering, baking and other things around the house for the long weekend.  Then had to deal with all the things that snow brought workwise and have been busy most of this week dealing with those issues.  But the snow we had won't be going away anytime soon so it's a good time to share more snow nails, including this one.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Sally Hansen Draw Blue In, two coats, no top coat.

Topped accent nails with Rogue Lacquer Knowledge Reclaimed (PPU August 2023).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped plaid with image from Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 91, and accent nails using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Stamped isolated snowflakes on accent nails using same Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 plate using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I know I've shared this look before but I can't help it; it is one of my favourite looks and it will likely be shared again at some point lol.

Hearts and Kisses!

Loving this Valentine mani in blue and really liking the nails with hearts on them; just too bad that the shadow stamping wasn't tighter.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Glisten & Glow Sea the Beauty In Everyday, no top coat.

Topped a few nails with Rogue Lacquer Knowledge Reclaimed (August 2023 PPU), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Apipila Love using MdU 91 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate, including the not so tight shadow stamping.

Added a few dots using MdU 91 on the nails with hearts.

Another Galaxy!

These rings remind me of galaxy nails, although not the typical milky way type of galaxy nails that are so popular.  Nevertheless, I liked how they turned out

A Late Summer Daisy

This is probably my most favourite mani that I've done for some time and thought I should share it soon before summer officially ends and I'm on to sharing fall nails.  Here's what I came up with!

Lantern & Wren Backgrounds 3

Started with blue skittles; polishes using starting at thumb are Rogue Lacquer Physical, OPI Duomo Days, Duoma Nights and Sally Hansen Blue Chip, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped lines using Lina Make Your Mark 02 using MdU 91, with accent nails using Wren & Lantern Backgrounds 3 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added a few more flowers on the lines.

Added floral centers using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
