Hot Pink with Circles!

I'm doing a bunch of scheduled posts including this mani and I'm looking for mani's to post that aren't blue and that is turning out to be quite a problem.  Blue is obviously a favourite colour to put on my nails for sure but occasionally, I do reach for another colour including this time!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Essie Off The Wall with an accent nail of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.  I was kind of annoyed that the pretty hot pink as seen in the bottle wasn't the same colour on the nails but what can you do.  Maybe with a white base, it might be a little brighter.

Stamped using Painted Polish Blanc Slate using image from TU-061.

I had applied same Essie Off The Wall on a metal stud and after it dried, added to accent nail.

Shell Skittles

Another beach themed mani that I did recently; this time I liked the matte version just a smidgen better than the shiny, but for those who aren't a fan of matte, please scroll down and you'll see it too!  Here's what I came up with!

When I was looking for a polish or polishes to use for this mani, I pulled a couple KBShimmer blue ones.  Then I thought hmm, I like this finish, I wonder if I have enough to do skittles!  I didn't quite have enough to do all blue but the thumb is close enough and adds a little interest, so starting at thumb and going clockwise, used KBShimmer Polishes Hashtag You're It!, We Make Your Dreams Come Blue, Better Lake Than Ever, Rock This Way, and No Wave!

A Classic Combination!

A couple posts ago, I said that one of my favourite colour combinations is green and pink.  I think blue and white are classic colour combinations and summer is another great time for this colour scheme!  I did these nails last summer right after IEC 2019 when I got this polish; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of The Nail Bazaar Greek Getaway, no top coat.

Neon Floral Nails

Some days you just feel like a little neon on your nails and that's what I sat down to do one time not too long ago.  Here's what I came up with!

Did a stamper smooshy base using Color Club Totally Worth It, Mrs. Robinson, Almost Famous, All That Razz and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with Creative Shop 183 Basic using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I really like these images that are on the smaller size for my smaller size nails.

The next day, I thought the they would like them with a matte topcoat so used one from Glisten & Glow, but I prefer the shiny version in this case for sure.  But you never know until you try, as the saying goes!

Take Me To The Beach!

I pulled a bunch of summer themed plates and have been doing a lot of beach inspired mani's including this one.  Hopefully I don't get into a theme trap like I have been doing lately with a whole bunch of leaves in the fall, snowflakes in the winter, daisies in the spring...but I guess we'll see!  But just in case, be prepared to see lots of beach mani's like this one; here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base using Pahlish Cascades, China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond, Essie Style Cartel, Essie Viva Antigua! and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic UC Beach Plates (thumb and middle), What's Up Nails A019 (index), SugarBubbles SB 051 (pinky) and CreativeShop 84 (ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

What's Up Nails A019.

Shadow stamped with Painted Polish Deux 2.0 using same images.  Stamped some a little too tight, some a little too loose; one of these days I'll get it right!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a fantastic week and thanks for looking!

A Different Looking Daisy!

I've had this mani in archives for a while now as I did it last November but as I was browsing draft posts, I realized that this mani has daisies on it too!  Love doing daisy mani's!  Although this image covers more of the base than I'd like, especially on this stunning base, it has a little bit more design and interest to it than other images of just a daisy.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quixotic Polish Ball Lightning.  This was from June 2019 Polish Pickup and is no longer available unless you are lucky enough tto find it in a destash.  While it does show a little thin here in the pix with the lighting, it did provide opaque coverage to the naked eye with just the two coats.  I also knew I was going to stamp on top of it so wasn't concerned if there were any bare-ishlooking areas.

Stamped with image from MoYou Mexico Collection-09 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

While I did like this look, one of my favourite things to do is add dots, whether it is in the center of a flower like here or as filler.  They just add a little bit more interest and a pop of colour, I find.  Sometimes it adds a little to the mani; sometimes, it takes it a little over the top!  You never know until you to it!  Added the flower centers using MdU 20.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
