The Demogorgon by CANVAS lacquer

This is the final installment of The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer; this is The Demogorgon by CANVAS lacquer, another one of my personal favourites in the collection!

Here is some nail art that I did on top of it; I wanted an image that you could still see all that cool glitter interest underneath!

This is three thin coats of The Demogorgon by CANVAS lacquer**, no top coat. There were no application issues plus easy clean up; I used one coat of UNT Ready for Takeoff (Peel Off Base) for easy removal.  

The Demogorgon by CANVAS lacquer is described as  a blackened green jelly base swimming with different green and holo glitters.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer...those glitters really come to life!



As I mentioned above, for the nail art, I wanted an image that would highlight the glitter base underneath. Decided on an image from Kelly Negri KN1 using MdU 46 and 48.  Both of these stamping polishes work really with with the base and I did a few scrapes of them to mix them up a bit for the stamping.

This was my test hand; I did the green and yellow by themselves and both look fantastic with The Demogorgon!  The image on the middle finger is also from Kelly Negri KN 1 and I really liked it too!

Be Like Barb by CANVAS lacquer

This saucy lady is Be Like Barb by CANVAS lacquer; part of The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer and inspired by Stranger Things!

 

Started with a base of two coats of Be Like Barb by CANVAS lacquer**.  Shown with no top coat. There were no application or removal issues and two coats gave fully opaque coverage.

Be Like Barb is described as a spicy mix of marsala and cinnamon with the warm glow of copper shimmer .



Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.



When I first seen Be Like Barb by CANVAS lacquer, my very first thought was it would pair nicely with another CANVAS lacquer polish; Champagne Dancefloor, that has loads of gorgeous golden shimmer. Sponged it at the tips for some added interest.



Added some subtle stamping using MdU 43 and an image from Marianne Nails XXL 6.



Topped it off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.



I love the sophistication of this look and the spicy tones of Be Like Barb by CANVAS lacquer make it perfect shade for fall....or anytime you are wanting spicy nails!

Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer

I'm sharing another polish from The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer; this is Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer!

I'm kinda digging this futuristic nail art that I did, too!

Started with a base of two coats of Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer**.  Before I applied the polish, I set the bottle upside down for a few minutes to get some of the shards to the top of the bottle; even then, I had to do a little fishing for them but nothing I haven't done with other polishes that have denser glitter.

Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer is described as a silver with a soft holographic finish with scattered silver holographic shards.

For nail art, I wanted a design that would still allow those awesome holographic shards to peek through. Decided on an image from Curali 016 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight, then added an accent stud for interest.

Will's Alive! by CANVAS lacquer

This gorgeous blue with the bright shimmer is another polish from The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer; this is Will's Alive! by CANVAS lacquer!

I also did some nautical themed nail art!

Will's Alive! by CANVAS lacquer ** is sheer but the great thing about that is it can easily built up with layers or be used as a topper over black or another dark hue for some really cool interest!  Below, I'm sharing two coat.  You can see just a tad VNL with two coats.

I ended up doing four coats here as I'm not a fan of VNL on me; this is shown with no top coat.  

Described as:  a glimmering soft teal that glows aqua in the dark

Yes, you read this right!  Will's Alive! glows in the dark!  It has a lovely blue glow after being charged!

Will's Alive! by CANVAS lacquer just screamed to me an aquatic scene but wasn't sure what I was going to do with it; I then came up with the idea to do a gradient using Hawkins, Indiana by CANVAS lacquer which is also part of the recently released The Upside Down Collection.  So did a sponged gradient using the two.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping.

Stamped using images from Moyra 29 - Waterworld and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped it off with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

11 by CANVAS lacquer

I have a few favourites in The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer and this is one of them; 11 by CANVAS lacquer. The white crelly base with the smattering of glitter is right up my alley!

I used the glitter in the crelly base as the inspiration for this nail art too!

Started with three coats of 11 by CANVAS lacquer**.  Two coats would have been good for most but I'm not a fan of VNL on me so added a third.  This is shown with no top coat. 

11 by CANVAS lacquer is described as a sweet white crelly base dotted with a variety of pink and white glitters.

Using the glitter in 11 by CANVAS lacquer as my inspiration, added an accent nail of Illamasqua Stance, then stamped using Lina Feeling Shapely! 03 and MdU 21 as I wanted an image that allowed some of the base to show through the stamping.  I don't know about you, but I always get excited when I find the perfect match of a polish and a stamping polish for some perfectly coordinated nails!  

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added an accent stud to finish.  I *think* I was a little heavy handed with the top coat because it caused the stamping polish to bleed  bit making it a little lighter.

Hawkins, Indiana by CANVAS lacquer

I'm sorry I've been offline most of the week; just really busy with life and work.  I still have been doing my nails though as it is my nightly stress reliever (if I'm not getting home at midnight and too tired!) so have more of The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer.  This is Hawkins, Indiana by CANVAS lacquer**!

Described as:  a deep inky blurple with sparks of icy blue microflake shimmer.  

There were no issues with application and clean up was a breeze! 

Started with a base of two coats of Hawkins, Indiana by CANVAS lacquer, shown with no top coat.

I thought this was a perfect base for a dramatic night scene with images I had picked out for Halloween but never got to using from Nail Matinee NM16 and FunkyFingers Gesso.
