Another Blue Floral Mani

If you read my last post, you'll see I'm not joking about wanting to do floral mani's all the time!  Another quick and easy one, this time, letting the beauty of the awesome base polish shine through!  This is also my last blue mani for the month of April.  Hopefully you have enjoyed them! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Great Lakes Lacquer Spring at Prospect Park, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Apipila P69 using MdU 1.

Added dots using MdU 6.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I hope you have enjoyed all the blue mani's this month!  I still have more to share but they will have to wait until another time....maybe even next April!  As much as I love blue, I'm also looking forward to sharing some other cool mani's that aren't blue!

Thanks for looking!

Blue Floral Nails!

I've really been loving doing floral nails lately!  I remember a time when stamping plates were released and I thought, oh no, not another floral plate.  But now, I'm like, I need to be buying more floral plates!  Although not really because I seem to be drawn to this one image on Lina 4 Season-Spring 02 and have used it time after time!  Here's what I came up with not too long ago!

Started with a base of one coat of China Glaze Bahamian Escape, then coated with one thin coat of Claire's Off To See The Wizard.  I love this type of polish; I know polishes like this aren't all the rage right now but I think they give a pretty interesting base for some stamping.  I have begun to search my stash to see how many colours I have these polishes in because I want them all!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Konad Square 13 (index and pinky) and Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 on the rest using MdU 1.

Added floral images from same Lina plate to accent nails using MdU 112, then dotted nails using MdU 1 and 112.

Not the clearest picture but look at that holo!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on To to finish.

Blue Bubbles!

I hope you are enjoying the (mainly) blue mani's in support of April is Autism Awareness month.  I still have a few blue mani's to share; this being one of my favourite manis that I've done lately!  One of those pretty simple nails that I do when I don't have much time yet they turn out pretty cool!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Gelixir 157, no top coat.

Pretty but I've been trying to change things up a bit with my new found love of layering.  So added a coat of Nfu 50.

Close up.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic UC 7-01 using MdU 91.  These are perfect stamping images; provides lots of interest yet enough of a void to let the beauty of the polish base shine through!

Blue Spring Nails!

We finally have a little warmer weather here in Southern Ontario!  I just seen a robin a couple weeks ago and soon, we will be seeing all the spring flowers in bloom!  I did this mani with spring in mind!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Scofflaw Was That A Magic Mushroom?, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I made a bunch of stamper decals to apply.

Snall nails problems!

Solved after trimming down with acetone and brush!  Images are from Creative Shop 122 (thumb and middle), Creative Shop 61 (index), Creative Shop 27 (ring) and MoYou Pro-12 (pinky).  I didn't keep track of which polishes I used to fill in the flowers but the thumb is Pahlish Doppio Espresso which I think is the perfect shade!  I do love that thumb image; I have visions of an entire mani based upon that image some day!

Love!

Hope you are enjoying spring!

Digit-al Dozen Does Albums; Day 5

I'm late sharing my day 5 mani for Digit-al Dozen album challenge as I didn't have the post ready in advance and was with family on Good Friday.  Then posted Easter nails over the weekend to coincide with Easter!.  Better late then never as the saying goes; this is my day 5 Digit-al Dozen mani!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from FUN 3 using Painted Polish Stamped in Clay.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from MdU Music 1 using Konad red stamping polish.

MdU Music 1.

This is the album cover the mani is based upon.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I thought this was the end of the mani and then I remembered some other cool images I had pulled for the challenge as I had planned on doing a mani using record albums but too many other album ideas.  So I looked at the images and thought they will work over this base, so added a few of them!  Added images from Moyra 119 (middle and pinky), and MoYou Rockstar 11 (index and ring) using MdU 1.

MoYou London Rockstar Collection-11

Moyra 119-Let The Music Play

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's the other ladies Day 5 mani's!

More Easter Nails!

Here's another Easter mani!  I didn't do many Easter nails this year; I just didn't find that many images and if I did, they didn't interest me for some reason.  Makers, I think we need more Easter images!  And St. Patrick's Day!  We have enough Christmas and Valentines but I think these two holidays are lacking.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, Music City Beauty Time After Time (March 2019 PPU), Pahlish Rainbow Dash, Different Dimension Mystery Proto 68, Great Lakes Lacquer The Last Sliver of Sun and Pahlish Fluttershy.  While I absolutely love each and every one of these, my favourites were Music City Beauty Time After Time and Pahlish Rainbow Dash.  One, so glad I just got it and the other, what took me so long to wear it??  And how did I luck out with that Different Dimension mystery polish???

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making a few stamper decals using images, applied them from Creative Shop 60 (thumb), Creative Shop 123 (index and pinky), Dixie Plates Easter (middle) and MoYou Festive-09 (ring).  I'm not sure why the thumb image fill in picked up the outline and smeared it; I always left my stamped images sit for at least 24 hours before filling it but it happened anyway.  I wonder if its too much polish on the brush?  I'll have to try to figure out why....any ideas?  Applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top of all the decals.

I also added the words on the thumb using Dixie Plates Easter and Moyra 24.

After the topcoat had dried, applied some clear to the index finger and added loose flocking powder.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Started with a base of three coats of OPI How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?  I love this shade of green and think it is a perfect spring colour!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals using Images from MoYou Flower Power Collection 17, 18 and 19, applied them.  Too bad that I have such small nails and to top it off, have no length at this time as the full size decals would have been so pretty!  But you can't do anything about what you were born with (at least finger wise but I guess I could do artificial nails which would make them longer but not bigger, but nope!) so just have to move on and work with what you have!  The thumb is Festive 17, the middle and pinky is Festive 18 and the index is Festive 19.  Dots are CND Bicycle Yellow.

Trimmed down using brush and acetone.

Shadow stamped accent nail using image from MoYou Festive Collection-24 using Painted It Pretty Stamped in Greenery (can't remember if it was original or 2.0 as I have both and didn't mark down any notes on it) and then FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  Also added a double daisies from same plate using for filler and interest.  Too bad the words didn't fit fully; I would have normally stamped them on the thumb to ensure that they fit but liked the lily image more.  Plus figured everyone could figure out what it said lol!  This was the smallest image I could find that said Happy Easter at the time, but after looking a little bit more, I did find another slightly smaller one.  Next year!

MoYou Festive Collection 24.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a great weekend; thanks for looking!
