I Love When A Mani Comes Together!

I love when a mani comes together!  This is a perfect mani to me.  Even though the polish application may not be the best, the clean up may not be the best, the stamping could be better, etc., but it just is perfect to me.  Everything I love about doing my nails is in this manicure.  A great base, with some layering for added interest, and then topped with a stamped design that has lots of interest, yet shows the beauty of the base to shine through.  I know that I have used this image so many times, but I can't help myself.

Started with a base of three coats of China Glaze I Got A Blue Attitude, no top coat.

Topped with Rogue Lacquer It Just Makes Me Happy (PPU December 2023), no top coat.

After applying KBShimmer Clearly on Top, stamped using image from Moyra 52 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

After applying Apipila no smear top coat, topped with a coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze, then topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Circles!

These abstract looking nails aren't my typical look but every once and I while, I like to change things up a bit and this was what I ended up with!

I have to apologize.  This was when my nails weren't the best but I was still painting them, so I did my nails with no expectation of sharing them, but when they turned out kinda cool, I took a few pictures to share.  The base polishes are China Glaze Left My Heart in Havana and China Glaze I Got A Blue Attitude.  Stamped with image from Hit The Bottle Vintage Grunge 01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added random dots in random sizes using Painted Polish Stamped in Periwinkle and China Glaze Left My Heart in Havana, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It's also Monday, so sharing for #MusicManiMonday with Circles by Post Malone!

Zigzags!

A lot of days, I want to change my nails, but lack inspiration as to what to put on them.  I pick a plate and to change things up a bit, I do some layering or a few different polishes, which is what I did here.  I think it worked out?!?!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, two coats, and OPI NFTease Me, which needed three coats to opaque, no top coat.

Topped the two fingers on the OPI base (middle and ring), with Pahlish Boo Bayoo Test Batch; thumb with Ribbits Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (LBOH Feb 2025), and the index and pinky were topped with Glam Polish A Fine Addition to my Collection.  I'm seriously loving the look for the blue flakies from Pahlish Boo Bayoo; it's one of my favourite layering polishes!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from UC Got Chevron? 2 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a great day; thanks for looking!

You Spin Me Round!

I can't believe I did these nails a couple years ago and still haven't shared them.  I. Absolutely. Love. How. They. Turned. Out!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, no top coat.  This is one of my favourite blues to wear; have a couple back up bottles.

Topped with DRK Glory (PPU August 2023).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Maniology M401 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.  I don't think I've every lines up stamping so well.  Thank you clear stamper!

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I love this combination so.  I've been looking for a backup bottle of Glory; if you decide it's not for you, hit me up....although I can't imagine why you'd want to part ways with it after seeing these nails!

Sharing for #MusicManiMonday....You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive.

Yet Another Snowflake Mani

I know.  Yet another snowflake mani.  I can't help it.  I have so many to share and the snow keeps on falling so it is seasonably appropriate.  So please tolerate another snowflake mani.  And be prepared for more to come!  Unless it doesn't snow again until spring and it all melts in the next day or so.

Started with a base of two coats of China Glaze Bahamian Escape, no top coat.  One of my favourite blue polishes!

Topped accent nails with Poetry Cowgirl Polish Dusk In the Pines, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped lines with image from Hit The Botle Vintage Grunge 1 using CjS 165, and snowflakes from Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Stamped a few more snowflakes on the accent nails from same Lina plate.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hearts!

I have so many Valentine's Day mani's to share, that I'm starting now with my favourite this year.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of my favourite blue creme, China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, no top coat.

Topped with Dreamland Lacquer Wrangled At The Rodeo, one thin coat.  This is one of my favourite polish combinations!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from ManiologyM401 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Stamped using image from OM-H03.

The heart stamping wasn't very opaque, so stamped it again, trying to stamp exactly where it was first placed.  Didn't do too bad of a job!

While I thought this was pretty cool, I decided to stamp a smaller heart from the same plate on the larger white heart, using Painted Polish Stamped in Saltwater.

There was even another smaller heart and I thought briefly about stamping it on the blue heart with white polish, but I thought I had better not press my luck as these had all lined up pretty good, so finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Also, this mani is for #MusicManiMonday; Heart...What About Love?

Perseid Meteor Showers

I did these nails in anticipation of the Perseid Meteor Showers today into tomorrow early morning hours; however, as I type this post, it is storming with thunder, lightning and rain, with the forecast calling for showers until 5 am, so the chances of seeing them tonight is dwindling.  But at least I can look at the meteor showers on my nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of lots of polishes; this was the result.  Polishes used are Zoya Juvia, Penelope Luz Forbidden Love, Penelope Luz Nymphs, Phoenix Klaus, Chance 093, Morgan Taylor Deja Blue, Morgan Taylor Totally Betty and China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Maniology M535 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.  If you check the image on the plate, you will see that I stamped it sideways to mimic the showers.

Maniology M535

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This was Ms. Cindy; did two coats of China Glaze Blue Rasperry Ice topped with Ribbits Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark.

Stamped with same image from Maniology M535 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I'm going to check for the meteor showers periodically before I go to bed and if by chance I don't see any, I'm sure there will be lots of images on the web to see from those who were lucky enough to see them!
