Squiggles

I did these nails a long time ago; over 7 years and unfortunately, didn't make note of which polishes were used, or I deleted the note by accident.  I do know some of the items used, just not everything.  I'm going to share them anyway just for funsies lol.

I don't recall which base polish is used and can't place the bottle to know, but any rich, deep purple like Morgan Taylor Anime-Zing Color or Powers of Persuasion would work.  I know it is topped with Kleancolor Chunky Purple Holo, which was making the rounds around that time. I'm not sure why it's called 'Chunky Purple Holo'.  It's not chunky, purple, or holo.

Top coated.  I know I did this on while at my weekend place and didn't have all my nail supplies so I had visited the local drugstore and picked up what I could find.  Odd I didn't have top coat, yet had stamping plates and polishes lol .  Priorities!

I did a stamped gradient using white, pink and purple stamping polishes; I don't have the notes and don't want to mislead anyone.  The plate is Sugar Bubbles SB 040, which I do recognize as a favourite to use as it is an interesting image, yet lets the base polishes shine through!  Top coated again.

This picture was taken in shaded natural light to let the glitter in the Kleancolor shine.

Sunlight.  Pretty sure I wasn't using no smear top coat then lol.

Thanks for looking.  And don't worry; I don't do many of these type of posts as I have so many notes of polishes and plates used for mani's, even older than this.  I don't know what happened.  I suppose I could have not shared, but I thought the mani too cool not to share.

Dandelions

My granddaughter says, look at all the flowers, Grandma!  However, those flowers are really dandelions that are in abundance right now, at least on my lawn.  So I thought these nails were appropriate, even though the flowers aren't yellow!

Started with a base of BKind Les Hamptons, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After waiting for about half an hour for it to dry, did a gradient using the base polish, Essie Walking the Walk and Quo Stormy Night.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Nicole Diary L20 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This mani is also doing double duty for #MusicManiMonday; Dandelions by Ruth B.

Blue Hearts!

I'm in love....with these blue heart nails!  I could wear these all year long! And in so many different colours!  Love, love love!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension ? It was unlabelled so not quite sure what it is.  It may be a named polish, or it may have been a mystery polish as I bought quite a few of them at their last release of polishes.  If you happen to recognize it, please let me know!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Apipilia Love using a mix of MdU 91 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Let it Snow!

We got a bit of snow when we woke up Sunday morning. I was singing 'let it snow' to my granddaughter when we were standing at the patio door taking it all in and when I sat down and did my nails last night, I knew that would be the theme of my nails, also for #Music Mani Monday; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of KBShimmer In Yacht Water, then added extra coat on ring finger with two coats of Swamp Gloss Lizard Stone Hairs, PPU March 2025) no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Journails: Christmas Time

Did a gradient on the accent nails using KBShimmer In Yatch Water, Orly Off the Grid and Morgan Taylor Baby It's Bold Outside.  Had a few issues with the gradient at the tips as you can see it was thin.

But it actually got worse; when I put on the top coat and went to take a pix, I put a nick in the accent nails, so I just took a brush and brushed the colours to cover.  Then stamped the rest of the nails using Painted Polish Blanc Slate with an image from Beauty Big Bang XL-030.

Stamped accent nails with image from Journails Christmas Time, after shrinking it a bit, then added snowflake from the other image at the top left.  I don't know why I spent so much time doing the gradient when you couldn't see it much after the stamped image was on it!

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Fall Leaves

We've had cooler temperatures at night and fall leaves are in full swing in my travelled area.  Not as vibrant as other years, but still really, really pretty!

Started with a couple of OG fall colours; Sally Hansen Yummy Yam and Sally Hansen Butterscotch.  These are holy grail fall colours to me; I use them almost without fail every fall.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

*Angels sing*

ShopAnts XL-016

Stamped lines from Creative Shop 182 Basic using Painted Polish Stamped in Sweet Potato and isolated a leaf from ShopAnts XL-016 using a gradient of MdU 11, 13, 106 and 122.  The dent in the middle nail is from the stamper edge hitting semi wet nails.  I forever pick up images on the edge of the stamper versus the middle.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Failed Shadow Stamping

I did these nails on September 24, 2019.  I can't recall if shadow stamping was a thing then or not but if it was and I was trying it out, it clearly didn't work out here!  So many fails in these nails but they are kinda cool in their own way so thought I'd share now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a gradient base of Color Club East Austin and Youthquake, no top coat, with East Austin as the full base.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from UberChic Of Art Magic using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief.  I'm not sure if I was shadow stamping, or just wanted something more obvious for the stamped image.

Uberchic Of Art Magic

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  This is obviously before my use of Apipila No Smear Top coat....or maybe it wasn't even out then.  Quite possible.  This was in the float your topcoat to not smear your stamping days and even though I always waited a bit before applying topcoat, sometimes like shown here, it wasn't long enough or too heavy of a hand was used.  Thank goodness, no smear top coats are available now!  Although, looking at these nails, it might have been cool if the smear was all through the nail on all nails as it kinda gives it a web look!

Blue Waves!

Still another vacation mani and sharing waves again; however, these waves are on an ocean blue base and a different wave stamping plate.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Elevation Polish Bohai Sea, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a gradient stamped image from EYNails n. 2 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, Painted Polish Stamped in Cinderelly and Painted Polish Stamped in Saltwater.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I've already shared some wave pictures from holidays but here is a few more!
