Welcome, Spring!

Spring officially arrived this morning at 5:01 am so I thought I'd share these spring nails!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen CSM Beatnik, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Polished for Days Fire Rainbow, no top coat.

The awesomeness that is Polished For Days Fire Rainbow.  This is one of my favourite polishes and I may have a couple back up bottles as I never want to risk running out!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from BeautyBigBang XL-023 with accent nail of Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Waves

This is one of my favourite images and one I use often when I can't decide what to put on my nails.

Started with a base of two coats of Morgan Taylor Powers of Persuaion, topped with Polished for Days Just Keep Swimming.  Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Marianne Nails n. 53 using a blended gradient of Painted Polish Blanc Slate, Stamped in Taro and Moyra SP 19.  Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I didn't plan on sharing this mani when I started out so didn't take pictures as I went along like I typically do, but liked how it turned out so decided to share anyway.  This picture shows why I didn't plan on sharing; my thumb nail was just growing out and while I was doing my nails somewhat, I wasn't taking pictures to share, just doing them for me.

Purple Skittles

One of my favourite nail things to do is to put a topper or layer polishes and this is a good example why as it really elevates some creme polishes.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of purple skittles; polishes used are Color Club Lily in Paris (thumb), Morgan Taylor Powers of Persuasion (pinky and index) and Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Knowledge is Flower (middle and ring).  Two coats, no top coat.

Topped with Polished for Days Rainbow of Imagination.

Weird lighting but shows the topper well!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Delaney Floral A002 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Another weird angle and lighting but shows topper well.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Gold Leaf

I wear blue the most of all colours and really had to go through my draft posts to find a mani that wasn't blue just so there is something a little different on my posts and came up with this stunner!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Polished for Days Champagne Pop, no top coat. This is just a really cool polish; the gold shimmer pops to me!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Lina Make Your Mark 08 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Trick or Treat!

I had high hopes for this mani but it didn't quite turn out as nice as I had planned but hopefully it gives someone an idea for a future mani.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Tangerine Teach, no top coat.

Topped with a thin coat of Polished for Days Jack O' Lantern.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

GPStamping 28.  I bought this plate specifically for the image I used for this nail and was lucky enough to find it via a plate destash.

After applying liquid latest, stamped image from GPStamping 28 using MdU 11 on all nails except words on right, which is Mezerdoo C81.

Shadow stamped using same images using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Here's where it went downhill lol.  The shadow stamping wasn't as tight as I wanted but I always do my nails really late and these took long enough as it was.  Also, I kept on messing up the middle finger and redid it at least 5x until I got this look and it was by far the best shadow stamped nail on the mani, which made me want to go back and do the rest, but I just couldn't.  Maybe next year, I'll attempt again but for now, just look at the nail on the middle finger and imagine the rest look like it!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
