April Showers Bring May Flowers

We are in for a whole lot of rain over the next week, althought, we shouldn't complain because April showers bring May flowers!  I've been noticing more and more spring flowers and with this rain, hopefully more will soon be blooming!  Like these bright floral nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of OPI polishes; Fearlessly Alice, Sun, Sea and Sun In My Pants and My Boyfriend Scales Walls; either 2 or 3 coats.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Sugar Bubbles SB078

Stamped using SB 078 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added dots using base polishes on the thumb, as well as added dots in the floral centers.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Love This Shade!

I no sooner placed a Different Dimension order when I put this on my nails, then I had massive regret that I didn't get a backup bottle.  Don't you hate when that happens??!!  I hope it's still in stock the next time I order!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Never Forget Where You Came From, with a little extra at the tips.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Lina License to be Sexy! 01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

The day after or so, topped with a coat of Essie Matte About You.  *Swoon*

I love the look of both but think it looks so elegant with the matte top coat.

The Starry Way!

Back in March, a recent Rogue Lacquer order arrived and this mischief batch polish caught my eye and it was the polish I used that same night.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of  2-3 coats of Rogue Lacquer Mischief Batch 40, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Different lighting.

Maniology MXM036

Maniology MXM035

This was one of those times I didn't want to stamp on top of the beautiful base, but went with Maniology MXM035 and MXM036 and they both left a lot of the base showing.

Topped with KBShimer Clearly on Top to finish.

Floral Gradient!

I did this floral gradient a couple days ago; right before I had to cut my nails down due to a little nick in the corner of one of my nails.  Don't you hate when that happens?  What can you do; file down and start growing them again.  They were just starting to grow out a little from last file down; here's what I came up with anyway!

Started out with a sponged gradient of Jelly by Barry M Blood Orange, Satsuma, Mango and then a little Revlon Ultra HD Snap Marigold Maven, no top coat.  I *think* this might be the first time I did a gradient with 4 polishes.  Think, but not quite sure.  I was surprised they all showed on the gradient; usually I have a hard time doing 3 on the nail and my nails aren't that long here either.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with Beauty Big Bang XL-022 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Oh La La!

These are some pretty fancy looking nails, even though they were easy peasy to do!  Like most of my stamping, most of the time, lately anyway!  I still try to pair an interesting stamp on a pretty base and hope for the best and do some more difficult or time consuming mani's when I have time.  But I am working long hours lately and while I'm still doing my nails almost every night, I'm going with easier to-do nails.  This is also why I don't have many posts to share; simply not much time to do them.  But I am trying to do some scheduled posts so share all these nails, like now.  Here's what I cam up with!

Started with a base of Music City Beauty Polish Time After Time (PPU July 2019).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Lina License to be Sexy! 01

Stamped using Lina License to Be Sexy! 01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Hot Pink for Hot Days!

I'm just kidding; while my nails may be hot, the weather has only been warm.  But you know here in Canada; if it's above 15C, especially after the winter, that is tanks and shorts and have the top down weather!  I haven't ventured in shorts yet (mainly because no pedi in months because of COVID lockdown still in my area) but the most recent wash of all the bedding got hung out to dry in the warm and sunny weather.  The spring flowers are up and the trees are starting to show their leaves; it is spring for sure in my area!  While brights are good any time of the year, I've been wearing them more, including these nails that I wore a couple days ago.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with one coat of Essie Off The Wall, no topcoat.

Topped with one coat of Girly Bits Calypso Rhythm (matte) (Polish Pickup July 2019) with a little extra here and there to cover some thin spots.  (I still see a few thin spots in these pictures, but it wasn't obvious IRL, plus I wasn't worried about it for two other reasons; I was going to stamp on top of the base and I knew I'd be changing the base in a day or so!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Different lighting to see the base a little better.

Stamped with image from EDK Magic Garden using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  It is the same image on all nails, just used different parts of it centered on alternating nails.  Or tried to center it, lol.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Different lighting; you see the flakies and shimmer a little better.

After a couple days, I topped the nails with Essie Matte About You; not the best pix (excuse those dry cuticles and tip wear/shrinkage), but you do see how beautiful Calypso Rythm is when it's mattified.  It is a matte polish to begin with, I just really liked the look of it shiny too.

Hopefully you are enjoying some nice weather to...or soon!  Thanks for looking!

Spring Floral Nails!

It won't be too much longer and we'll start to see spring flowers!  With this in mind, I thought I'd share this easy floral mani...now, if only there were blue daisies!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Gloria Vanderbilt.

Topped with Polished for Days Enchanted (Nov 19 PPU).  The reason why I chose the base was because I wanted a colour that I t hought this toppere would pop and I think it did pair nicely with the Cirque!

On all the nails!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Different lighting.

Nicole Diary L20

Added image from Lina Make Your Mark 02 using Painted Polish Stamped in Scales.

Then added a few flowers using Nicole Diary-L20 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Stamped in Scales.

Added dots to floral centers in accenting colours.

Different lighting.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is one of those mani's that I wish I had have added a matte top coat but didn' think of it until it was removed.  But next time!
