Trick or Treat!

It's Halloween! And with it comes the last of the Halloween nails and I'm finishing the season off with these colourful, fun neons!  Here's what I came up with!

For these untraditional Halloween nails, started with a base of neon skittles using Pretty Serious polishes.  Starting at thumb and going clockwise, polishes are Bash, Hootenanny, Shindig, All-Nigher and Celebration, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using MoYou Festive Collection-16 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmerr Clearly on Top.

Shadow stamped thumb using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Added random dots for colour, filler and interest.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Be safe no matter how you are spending your Halloween night!

It's Spooky Season!

Spooky season indeed is upon us and here I am posting yet another Halloween mani!  While I've been sharing a few manis from 2018 and 2019 trying to clear up my archived posts, this mani is from this year using a newly released MoYou plate.  Here's what I came up with!

Did a skittle base using Different Dimension BOOtiful on thumb and ring, OPI Who The Shrek Are You (pinky), Sally Hansen Mardi Grape (index) and Different Dimension And All I Loved, I Loved Alone (middle), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from MoYou Halloween 10 using MdU 11, Painted Polish Stamped in Clay and Painted Polish Midnight Mischiefl

Shadow stamped using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and then MdU 13 then PP MM on the thumb.

MoYou Halloween-10

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I didn't shadow stamp that well on the thumb and thought I'd share my test hand, Ms. Cindy, where it turned out a little better!

Spooky Spiders!

Maybe colourful, not so spooky!  Here's what I came up with!

I purposely wanted a mix of Halloween-ish colours but not all in the same finish, so went with this hodge-podge base but like it!  Polishes used, starting at th thumb and going clockwise, are MLF Lacquer Trick or Treat (Sept 2020 Polish Pickup), Girly Bits Stayin' Alive, Potion Polish Warts n All (LOVE THIS POLISH!!), Girly Bits Funky Town and Emily de Molly High Degree, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped spider web and spider from MoYou Festive on the thumb using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and the rest with DRK-A using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added spiders using MoYou Festive 16 to all fingers except the thumb using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearlry on Top.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Whatever will become of Halloween this year, who knows.  Will kids be trick or treating?  Or staying in this year?  In these unprecedented times, I guess we won't find out until dusk on October 31st.  We have a handful of kids in our area and I've already bought candy just in case we have kids stopping by.  But the fam might be eating lots of treats if not many kids
ring the doorbell. I guess well see in 10 days or so.

Anyway, here is a pretty traditional looking Halloween mani for the night!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Salon Perfect Shapeshifter, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Chez Delaney Halloween 002 using MdU 106.

Shadow stamped using same images using MdU 2.  A couple things to note here; this is a perfect use of shadow stamping (IMHO!) as you get great depth of the lantern face.  Yes, my shadow stamping could have been a little tighter but you see the intent of it anyway lol.  One day, I might get it right lol.  Secondly, thank goodness for MdU polishes as otherwise, we wouldn't be able to pickup images such as these on the Chez Delaney plates as other polishes just don't pick up as well.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer to finish.

Regardless of what happens this October 31st, have a good one.  It can't be like this forever, can it?

Thanks for looking!

P.S. Ironically, these were the nails I was wearing on October 31, 2018; they've been in archives for almost two years!

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat!
Smell my feet!
Give me something good to eat!

Yes, it is almost that time of the year!  Here's another Halloween mani!

For the base, used Noodles Chills & Thrills, OPI Black Onyx and OPI Summer Lovin' Having A Blast!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top

EYNails n10

Stamped using Dixie Halloween 2017 (middle), BM-S205 (thumb), Delaney Halloween 003 (thumb), Delaney Halloween 002 (pinky), Delaney Halloween 006 (index), EYnails n10 (ring) using Mdu 2, 11 and 13.

Shadow stamped the pinky then added extra bats using Delaney Halloween 006.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added a few dots on the thumb for colour, filler and interest using same polishes.

Added one final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Halloween Spiders!

Halloween is right around the corner so I thought I should start to share some Halloween nails soon!  These colourful nails were easy peasy to do and are how I like to do my nails....busy and colourful!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Cupcake Polish How Do You Like Meow? which was part of the September 2020 Polish Pickup offerings.  I love the formula of Cupcake Polish and it's like the polish applies itself; I rarely have any cleanup which is just unheard of for me.  But this is why I picked it up even though I have a few polishes like it in my stash.  Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from UberChic Halloween 01 using MdU 11, 39, 107 and 111 with Painted Polish Blanch Slate as well.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

While I didn't mind the look of those nails, I decided to add dots for colour and filler so added random dots using same stamping polishes.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
