Hot Ribbons!

When I sat down to do my nails this night, I knew I wanted to do some simple stamping, but wanted an image that wasn't floral as I had been doing a lot of them lately and when I came across this image, it worked really well with my stamping goals of having a good interest, but allowing the beauty of the base shine through.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Poppy, no top coat.

Added a coat of Polished for Days Seraphine.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Creative Shop 92 using Mdu 53 and 66.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Seeing Spots!

I purposely was feeling like doing bright green nails for this mani and this base fit the bill exactly; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Orly Fresh, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from UberChic UC 3-01 using MdU 4.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond!

I know my mani's haven't been overly interesting for a while; I still do my nails almost every night, but I don't have as much time do spend on doing mani's, so I've been doing some simple stamping on top of what I hope is an interesting base and sharing them when I have a few minutes to do a quick post.  Like this one; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Miami Ice (not shown as have shared before), topped with DRK Unguilty Pleasure (May 2021 PPU), no top coat.

Topped with Enchanted Polish Instant Galaxy.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Sugar Bubbles SBS16 using Painted Polishes Stamped in Saltwater, Blanc  Slate and Deux 2.0.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

My gradient wasn't as as gradual as I had wanted but sometimes that just how it goes.  Still liked how it turned out though!

Daisies!

I think this is my most used stamping image; when I need to do a quick mani or have no inspiration, it's the image I reach for.  Here I am using it again with another thing I've been doing fairly often lately.... layering.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of China Glaze Good as Marigold.

Topped with a coat of Polished for Days Ghost Host.

I applied it a little heavier than I had planned; this is Ms. Cindy (aka, my test hand) and it was the look I was going for as the base came through a bit more) but it still looked good!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Ms. Cindy topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added dots using Essie Check Your Baggage (which was another contender as a base coat, but I went with the China Glaze instead, but used it for the dots for a colour contrast).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

The next day, took a picture outside.

Also, topped with a coat of Essie Matte About You for a different look.  As usual, the flakies really stood out, which is why I always like to try to matte a flakie mani at some time.

Not Quite Cherry Blossoms!

I didn't get a chance to do cherry blossom nails this spring; these are the closest I came to this doing any year.  Not quite the same but I stil like how they turned out!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Pahlish Dreams Unwind Sample Batch, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from LilyAnna 13 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Added a few dots for floral centers using an MdU polish but no tag (sorry!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hopefully next year, I'll be able to do a cherry blossom mani...or two!

Bright Floral!

It's the time of year that flowers are starting to bloom so I thought I'd share these nails, even though I did these on a a cold January day when I needed a little bit of colour to pick me up!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Revlon Ultra HD Marigold Maven with accent nails of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals using same Revlon Marigold Maven polish using image from Creative Shop 92 with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, applied them on the white base.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This is accent nail; used same base polishes but stamped with different image (I think it is MoYou Fashionista-04 but not sure, sorry).

Added black studs on a few nails, then topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I applied the second coat of tc before it dried so had a few cracked looking nails but they do clear up once dry!
