Sizzling Hot!

It's a sizzling hot here in the GTA today; how about some sizzling hot UP nails to go along with it?  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Reagan, no top coat.  Shine for days; this is straight out of the bottle, no top coat.  Love!

Topped with Nail Pattern Boldness Boop-Oop-A-Dupe, one coat.  Sorry for all those collectors of all things UP but this is long gone, no longer available.  I don't even see it come up for sale in blog sales, so sorry if this is now your latest lemming.  #sorrynotsorry

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

For stamping, I didn't want to pick an image that covered the base polish too much so stamped with an image from Lina Twirls & Swirls 01 using MdU 1.

Here's Ms. Cindy who is a bit different as this is my test hand usually.  Did same base of Zoya Reagan, then added a coat of Cult Nails Clairvoyant on all nails, with extra coat of the Nail Pattern Boldness on the thumb.  It wasn't the look I was looking for so that's why you didn't see it on my posted nails...but pretty cool none the less!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Thanks for looking!

Bright Gradient

I did this gradient a couple days back; I really wanted to highlight just the yellow and blue...but I guess when they overlap, you get green so I had to take it!  This features my new 'hide an owwie pose' on my middle finger; it will be featured randomly for the mani's I did over the couple weeks when it was obvious lol.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Cirque Hustle, two coats, no top coat.

Did a sponged gradient using it and an unnamed Cosmetics Art polish.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Lesley LS-52 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend; thanks for looking!

Spring Flowers!

I know it's been a while since I did a blog post and thanks if you are still around checking out my blog and other media's! I had a couple of emergencies involving my kids (one broke his arm, he had to see several specialists, have scans and numerous xrays/scans/tests due to the break and circumstances  to see if surgery and/or other treatment was need; and if that wasn't enough, two days later, my daughter was in car accident and totalled her car and was pretty banged up and bruised). This was on top of my pretty busy work and personal life already plus I had planned holidays the week this happened as I had some business I had to attend to so life just got too busy and hectic to find the time to do any blogging.  I was still doing my nails when I could though; not overly complicated nails just polish and simple stamping so again, thanks for hanging around!

I did stamper decals for these nails maybeeee six weeks ago I want to say?  Let's just say that while I've had good success with retaining a painted image on a hard stamper and then applying SH Hard as Nails to make a decal and then applying it when it was well over a year old, these decals painted on the stamper and then applied directly from the stamper using the sticky base didn't hold up nearly as well.  Super fragile and brittle; some broke apart and I had to line them back up on the nail and apply.  While they didn't turn out terribly, they could have been better I think.  But I love these odd assortment of flowers; almost all are spring flowers that are starting to bloom or at least come up in my area right now.  This is what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Shelter Island, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Applied images from BundleMonster XL217 directly from stamper.

Applied final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This week is also Digit-al Dozen challenge week; the theme this month is mani's inspired by other members. Everyone knows how much I love being part of the Digit-al Dozen and I don't think in the 5+ years I've been a member that I've ever sat out an entire event although I do know that I've missed finishing some of my mani's some months.  I'm really sad that I wasn't able to participate this month but just had too much on the go to source mani's and then try to replicate them or do something close.  I do hope you check out the other ladies mani's this month and I should be on track for next month!

Thanks for looking!

Spring Has Sprung!

We finally have some nice, warm, sunny weather - it seems that spring has finally arrived!  Here's a spring mani that I did not too long ago!

Started with a base of three coats of Great Lakes Lacquer Time Is A Face On The Water with accent of two coats of Picture Polish Wisteria.  Great Lakes Lacquer Time Is A Face On The Water was the GLL contribution to the March 2018 Polish Pick Up and the first polish I put on when my package arrived!  I would have shared before now except it didn't arrive until early April and I was only sharing blue mani's for the month of April.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on top.

Made a couple of stamper decals from an image from MoYou London Pro Collection-12.

Stamped dots using image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added stamping from EYNails n.1 on thumb using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added couple random dots to thumb for interest and filler.

Here's to hoping that all our snow, freezing rain, hail and any other nasty cold weather is behind up and that spring is finally here to stay!
