4th of July Nails!

I did 4th of July nails too on Independence Day, but didn't get to share them on the blog either, so am sharing now!

Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-62

Maniology M327

Started with a base of skittles; Sally Hansen A Moo Point, Sinful Colors Endless Blue and Orly Monroe's Red, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Wistonia American Pride with Painted Polish Blanc Slate on middle and ring, Maniology M327 for words on thumb and CjS-62 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, MdU 73 and red Konad Special Polish.

I tried to shadow stamp the words on the thumb but it didn't turn out so great because I wanted some blue on the thumb to balance the colours, so removed it and stamped again but used MdU 73 for words on thumb instead.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hope you had a great 4th of July if you celebrated!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to all my American nail pals!

Started with a base of Fancy Gloss Blue Starlight, Fancy Floss Red Starlight and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls topped with Fancy Gloss Reflective Topper on the accent.  Please excuse the middle finger mess up; the reflective topper pulled the base coat; I'm not sure if I applied too much pressure or there was something on the brush, all I know is that this was the end result.  Although it doesn't look too great here, I didn't change it as I knew the stamping would cover most of it.

Stamped using AZ 4th of July using Konad Red special polish and Clear Jelly Stamper 013 stamping polish on the middle and BeautyBigBang 043 on the rest using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day to all my American friends!  I thought I'd do these nails quickly last night, but quickly turned into almost 2 hours from start to finish but I think they were worth it!  Here's what I came up with!

Started out with a base of Painted Polish Seeing Stripes, Painted Polish Seeing Stars and accent nail of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  The Painted Polish were three thin coats; the OPI, two.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I had made stamper decals for the thumb and index finger using Konad Square 09 (thumb) and UC mini: Fourth of July for the index.  The base for the thumb is the blue microglitter (Seeing Stars) and I filled in some of the stars with the red microglitter (See Stripes); the base for the index is the red microglitter and I filled in the lines using the blue.  Unfortunately, I had cracks in the white lines of the decal for the index so I did some hand painting to try to correct.  After the decals were dry and applied, stamped middle using Wistonia American Pride, ring finger with Chez Delaney Fete 001 and CjS LC10 and pinky using MoYou Festive Collection-44.  Stamping polishes used were Konad red special polish, Moyra SP. 05 and FunkyFingers Gesso.  Added random stars on middle and ring finger using image from Wistonia American Freedom and Konad red special polish.

Happy 4th of July!

*press sample

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!  I did this mani for the occasion and love how it turned out! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI Angel With A Lead Foot and Jessica King Tut's Gem accents.

After top coating with KBShimmer Clearly on Top (no picture as I had to go outside in natural sunlight as in cottage country and it was mega hot!) applied stamper decal on ring finger that I had made using image from Wistonia American Pride with FunkyFingers Gesso and Konad Red.  Stamped thumb and middle finger using MoYou Festive Collection 28 using Konad red special polish and MdU 3 and MoYou Festive Collection 28 on pinky.  Index finger has a few coats then dabs of FingerPaints Red, White & Hue.

Added stars to ring and starburst to thumb by stamping single images many times from MoYou Festive 27 and placing with CJS Big Bling using MdU 3.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I thought this would be a perfect mani to use My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte Topcoat* (and it was the perfect matte topcoat!) so added a coat.  My Perfect Matte Topcoat is everything you would want in a top coat; it applied easily, provided a full matte look with only one coat and dried super fast (even in the extreme heat we've been having in Southern Ontario this past weekend).

I received My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte Topcoat as a press sample for Indie Expo Canada (which I am working on and the posts and reviews will be up soon as I have been waiting for my middle finger to grow out a little bit more for better swatching).  My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte Topcoat and many other polishes and products are available at the estore here...and believe it or not, it is only $5CAD!  My Indie Polish ships worldwide; please visit estore for more information.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July if you are celebrating!  I did these nails yesterday; I didn't plan it very well as I only had one set of plates with me (Apipila) and limited polishes so had to come up with an Independence Day mani using what I had on hand but was pretty happy how these turned out considering!

Started with a base of two coats of Quo by Orly Mega Silver with an accent of Barielle Bold n Confident topped with an unnamed Pixel polish (the name might have been on the bottle but I couldn't make it out if it was!)  While not shown, topped everything off with a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

I have to say, stamping this was a pain in the arse!  The image with the lines is from Apipila p.06.  As you probably know, straight lines with squishy stamper equals crooked lines, so took many attempts with several stampers to get them straight.  I didn't have many stamping polishes with me and no navy ones, so searching through what I had on hand and after trying out a few, ended up using Maybelline Navy Narcissist for the stripes, which dried super fast.  Even after closing all the windows and turning off the fan, dried at the speed of lighting!  Some nails took many attempts to get all the lines stamped and a few, the tailings at the end wrecked the image and had to redo.  But I managed to eventually get them stamped as good as was going to happen!

I was only able to stamp about 4 stars in total before the clear jelly stamper head I was using totally disintegrated.  So had to do the best I could with a regular stamper for the rest.

Finished the remaining stars at the tips using red Konad special polish with an image from Apipila Kids A. This might have been the end look if I wasn't able to stamp the line of stars decently on the accent.

Stamped stars from same image plate on accent; the first row turned out OK so decided to do a few more.

I was able to line up a second and third row of stars decently for the end result.

Topped everything off with a final coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish.

This is final mani in the sun; the shade pix are more accurate though but the sun makes the silver really sparkle!

Enjoy the 4th if you are celebrating!
