Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs That Collide; Day 2

Here's a couple colours that collide for day two of Digit-al Dozen challenge!  I love how it turned out...and love when two colours that don't necessarily go well together look great!

Started with a base of two coats of Girly Bits Peace-Oop, which was one of their September 2016 COTM (where does time fly??  Three years already??), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 02 using MdU 1.

Topped with original stamped image using image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using Painted Polish Autumn Twilight 2.0 and then stamped the rest of the nails with the same image and stamping polish.

Dotted flower centers using MdU 1.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's the other ladies day 2 mani's!

Digit-al Dozen Does Wool/Copper; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen week and the group is celebrating our 7th anniversary!  Our theme this month is wool/copper so we will be sharing wool/cooper related mani's all week!    Here's what I came up with for day 1!

Started with two coats of Blush Lacquer Rose Gold Garden, no top coat.  Now, in all fairness, this polish isn't described as copper but in certain lights, it has shades of copper and with our loose DD guidelines and how we interpret the challenges, I'm going with it!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. I love his unique colour; I think I need to use it again sometimes soon for a fall mani!

Stamped with an image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Some Experimental Layering!

I was going to use this mani for Digit-al Dozen colours challenge as there are quite a few colours in this but I had so many other mani's, that I used them instead.  Another floral mani, I love the brights against the darker base!

I love dark colours on shorties so started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Whomping Willow, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of New York Summer Alpha Jewel Glitter.

Layered with a coat of Yves Love 441.  This was a random dollar store find many years ago.  It is really sheer but I applied it thicker than my test nail so it covered up more of the holographic glitter than I wanted but you can still see it shine through.  It also has a really interesting green shimmer to it which added a whole other level to the base!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

That shimmerrrrr!

Stamped with image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using MdU 1.

Added dots using MdU 53, 68 and 106 for some colour pop!  I was quite happy that you could still see the glitter and the shimmer even with the stamping on top!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Green Floral and Stripes

Sometimes I surprise myself when a mani is finished; I start with one thing in mind and it ends up totally different!  This is one of those; this really isn't my 'style' of nails but I loved how it turned out when it was all done.  In fact, I've done a few spins on this mani since (some shared already, some not) but this was the one that started it.  It's obviously my style now lol!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Turtle Tootsies Turn Off The Lights!, no top coat.  I picked this up last year at 2018 Indie Expo Canada in Toronto.  2019 IEC will be held on August 18th with workshops taking place on August 17th.  Do you plan on attending?

Topped with a thin layer of Fiendish Fancies Princess Without A Voice.  This was a press sample that I received at 2018 Indie Expo Canada; I liked it so much that I bought a full size bottle!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped stripes using Lina Born To Sail 01 using EdK Lili and flowers using Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added dots to flower centers using EdK Lili.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

While I liked the look of the nails, I decided to add more flowers to the striped nails; used same image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using FunkyFingers Gesso, then stamped using EdK Lili.  Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice

press sample

I cannot tell you how much I adore this polish, Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice!  I'm into layering (well, I try to do it as much as possible; when I think of it) so I thought I would try it layered as well as on it's own and it looks fantastic both ways!

As we are in the height of summer, I really wanted some bright nails but also wanted to use a colour that would go well with Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice all on its own, so I have shown it both ways here and incorporated into a fun summer mani!

For the fun summer nails, I started with a base of two coats of Polish 'M Forget The Rest with accent of three coats of Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice.

I then did one light coat of Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice as a topper on all nails but the accent.  I love how this looks and while you'll have to take my word for it, I also layered it over Girly Bits Butternut Leave Me, It's Near Leaf All and Another Brick In The Fall and it looked crazy gorgeous on all of them~ I love it and one thin coat just creates a whole other look (the beauty of layering!)!  I'm sure one or more of these combinations will show up this fall!

Princess Without a Voice is part of the Fiendish Fancies’ Beautiful Creature collection and is an olive frost with bronze, teal and rose shimmer; as you can see here, it builds up nicely to being opaque, but has the versatility of being used as a topper with the highlight being that bronze shimmer.  There were no polish application issues or issues with the brush.  It was easy to remove as well.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Lesly LS 32 using Dark Knight, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Lesly LS32

I really liked how this looked but it's summer and wanted something more summer like.  Plus you know me, busy nails are right up my alley!  So stamped using image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08 using FunkyFingers Gesso.  I especially loved how the white popped against the olive in Princess Without Voice; it is my favourite nail!  I was also super happy that the featured polish is still visible even with double stamping!

Top coated again with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Unfortunately, the pigments from the Polish 'M changed the stamping colour to a light green tinge; its pretty obvious here but not so much in real life.

I then dotted the flowers and topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Fiendish Fancies Princess Without Voice and other Fiendish Fancies polishes are found here!  Fiendish Fancies ships international; please see all details on the estore site as there are discount codes once a dollar limit is hit and other really useful shipping info there!

Polish 'M Falling In Love

If you scroll through my blog, you'll see that blue is one of my most worn colours.  This beauty was one of my favourite polishes from the September 2017 Polish Pickup Fall Foliage & Fun theme and I used it here not too long ago! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Polish 'M Falling In Love.

Did a stamped gradient using Mdu 1, 6 and 42 using an image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 08.
