Canada Day Nails!

I'm behind on doing blog posts but I was wearing these nails on Canada Day last weekend!

MoYou Festive Collection-79

Started with a base of three coats of Essie Gel Couture Lace Me Up, no top coat.

Topped with Sally Hansen Crystal Top Coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped image from MoYou Festive Collection-79 using red Konad Special Polish.

Then stamped using image from Clearly Jelly Stamper CjS LC-08 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Shadow Stamped using same image with red Konad Special Polish.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Ms. Cindy was done the same, except no shadow stamping.

Hopefully you had a great Canada Day...and hopefully next year, I can get the post done one time!

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!!

These are the nails I'm sporting today!

When I seen this plate, I knew it would be perfect for a Canada Day mani so ordered it.  This was the only Canada Day mani I had time to do this year and thought they didn't turn out too badly!

Started with a base of two coats each of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Sally Hansen CSM Cherry Delight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Beauty Big Bang XL-072 using red Konad special polish, with accent of CjS LC-08 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

This was Ms. Cindy; I actually think I did a better job on the stamping than my sharing hand!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  I had a little bit of smear, but only visible when in big macro pix like this; not visible to the naked eye.

Thanks for looking and I hope my fellow Canadian's have a great day!  And everyone else too, even if you aren't celebrating Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!!

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!  I had a really hectic week and just did these yesterday but they'll be on my nails all weekend!

Started with a base of two coats each of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, OPI My Wish List Is You with an accent of Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars.

Added a light coat of Funky Fingers Olaf on thumb for some interest and topped all with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped all fingers using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS LC-08 using Konad red special polish and MdU 1.  Accent is CNF 001 with Fig Tree Stamps.

Topped all with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  It was a little hot and humid yesterday so even though I waited a bit to top coat, I still had a little smear.  I had to use the Konad and MdU stamping polishes as everything else dried too quickly!  Normally I would have done a bit of touch up with the stamps that didn't stamp that well but I did these in cottage country and only had a minimum amount of supplies with me.  But still was happy how they turned out!

Whatever you are doing this long weekend (and hopefully it is a long weekend for you!), please be safe regardless if you are on the water, driving, make sure you wear a hat and sunscreen and overall, enjoy your day and think of  what a great country we live in!

Thanks for looking!

Happy Canada Day!!!

 HAPPY 150 CANADA!!!!

Happy Canada Day!!!

I've been swamped at work with all kinds of emergencies so haven't been able to do as many Canada Day mani's as I had hoped (or even other posts for that matter!), but did these nails on Thursday night and they will be on all weekend long during all the Canada Day festivities I'm attending!

For these Canada Day nails, I started with two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales, then stamped using Apipila Super Placa G on all fingers except accent, which is CJS LC-08 using red Konad stamping polish.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Thanks for looking and have a fantastic Canada Day!!!!

These vinyls are so easy to use, even this vinyl challenged nail fanatic was able to use them with ease and came up with these Canada Day nails!

These are the stencils from Whats Up nails that Nail Polish Canada is offering!  For FREE!!!

I started with a base of two coats of Colors by llarowe Oh Canada, an Indie Expo Canada exclusive, and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Then waited about 25 minutes to make sure that my base nails were dry for the vinyl application.

Applied the nail vinyl.  Note:  This pix was for illustration purposes only ----make sure that the vinyl is well secured on the nail by pressing down with your finger all the way around the vinyl outline to avoid polish seepage under the vinyl so your image is crisp!

I applied about two coats of Cbl Oh Canada in the void of the nail vinyl. (I was a little worried about how thick I was applying it so some areas of the flag aren't as opaque as the rest but overall, coverage was still good!  This was just my inexperience using nail vinyls but I think I did OK!)  Immediately after applying polish, remove vinyl using the tab extension.

I added an image from CJS LC-08 using Mdu 9 and mixed it with some of Cbl Oh Canada to hopefully achieve the same colour as CbL Oh Canada in the stamping polish.

I did the other nail once I knew I could colour match the stamping polish OK, then top coated all with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

CJS LC-08

Added a few more images from same plate on accent nails using MdU 1.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Thank you to Nail Polish Canada for asking me to share this wonderful offer to my fellow Canadian nail fanatics....I hope to see a lot of Canada Day nails around on social media around July 1st!

 Thanks for looking!!!
