Digit-al Dozen Does Story Genres; Day 3

I'm super late now with the Digit-al Dozen story genres manis because life unfortunately got in the way of me doing the posts last week, but I do want to finish posting as many story genres nails I have done!  This mani represents romance; which is probably 98% of the novels that I read!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a gradient base of China Glaze Bite Me, China Glaze Lip Smackin Good and China Glaze Sweet As Pinkie Pie.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Kelly Negri KN 31 (index and ring) and NailMatinee NM04 (thumb, pinky and middle) using MdU 2.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Unfortunately, some of the stamping images weren't that secure on the nail and some kinda went everywhere when I added the top coat so it didn't turn out the best.  But hopefully you get the jest anyway!

 Here's the other ladies Day 3 mani's!

Picture Polish Mossy

Hope you are having a great week; sorry to have not posted all week but I had a busy week and then started a massive blog sale so most of my time has been devoted to it!

Here's a mani I did a few weeks ago and absolutely love using piCture pOlish Mossy!

Started with a base of two coats of piCture pOlish Mossy.  Man, I adore these piCture pOlishes that have this holographic flaky effect...such a nice added extra as the base yet they still come off as easy as a creme!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I've been trying to remember to stamp with a colour other than black or white so picked this mustard yellow looking stamping polish; MdU 46.  The image is from NailMatinee 07 and I used the clear stamper head from Girly Bits (and still messed up a finger!).  Added a couple dots using dotter for contrast interest.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Thanks for looking; enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Happy (Belated) Family Day!

Last Monday was Family Day here in Ontario; while I had the best of intentions of sharing the nails I was wearing for the day, I was super busy and it was all I could do to get my Digit-al Dozen mani posted so thought I would share now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Dance Legend Fresh 74.  Love this green but unfortunately, I did have some nail staining even with a coat of base coat.

Topped with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before doing the gradient.

I tried a new to me latex barrier product and was surprised to discover it dried clear (I guess I didn't read the description very well when I ordered it because it clearly states "clear"!)  This is Top Shelf Lacquer Clean It Up clear latex.

Did a sponged gradient using Dance Legend Fresh 76 and 78.

After latex remover and cleanup.  I had no issues with the removal of the latex at all.

Topped with a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

I used the stick family images from the FAB UR NAILS WON-FUN plate after shrinking them using the UberChic luxe stamper.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get the dog on the plate to shrink enough to fit on my pinky so used an image from MJ II for it.  The words on the thumb are from NailMatinee NM12 and Nailways Back to Basics ABC 123; Funky Fingers Gesso was used as the stamping polish.

This is my little family; hopefully your family had a great Family Day if you had it off!
