Digit-al Dozen Does Decades; Day 5

I'm sorry for not posting my day 5 Digit-al Dozen decades challenge earlier; I managed to get the mani posted on IG, just didn't get the blog posted done.   Here's a Spice Girls 90's inspired mani for day's nails!

The picture my nails was inspired by; Spice Girls in 1995.

Started with a base of Deborah Lippmann Run, Run Rudolph with Girly Bits Polish Matte'rs, Lippmann Maniac with a coat of La Reine Crystal Glitter, two coats of OPI No Tan Lines, a sponged gradient of OPI No Tan Lines, Essence Mr. Rusty and Sally Hansen CSM Red My Lips and Nicole by OPI Hit the Lights with a coat of FingerPaints Lemon Sour.

Did a verticle sponged gradient on the ring finger.

Stamped using MoYou Holy Shapes Collection-06 and MoYou Artist Collection-02 on the middle finger, MoYou Illusion Collection-02 on the pinky and Infinity 12 on ring.  No stamping on the other nails to go along with inspiration pix.

Added another coat of matte on the thumb, then a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top on the rest to finish.

I stamped the other nails just for fun using images from Infinity 37 (thumb) and Infinity 149 on index.

Here's the other ladies Day 5 mani's!

Fourth of July!

Happy Independence Day to all my US friends!  I did a quick mani last night to share; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of Colors by llarowe Independence Day (how appropriate!) and Arcane Lacquer On the Brink; topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Infinity 37 with white Konad special polish.

Touched up my stars a bit!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  Unfortunately, I had a little polish bleed through the stamping on the blue nails so some of my stars turned slightly blue but only visible in macro; not visible in real life at all!

I feel badly as I have US nails posted for today but still haven't gotten around to posting the Canada Day nails that I've been sporting for the last week (other than IG).  I've been terribly busy the last week (plus out of town for our Canada Day holiday) but do hope to share soon!

Thanks for looking!

Perfect Mix of Plates and Polish!

If you are a polish lover as well as a stamping addict (like me!) and are looking for interesting images to stamp but still allow the base polish to shine though, it can sometimes be a challenge finding suitable images that highlights the best of both worlds. This is a mani I came up with not too long ago showing a perfect mix of both...if I do say so myself!

The base polish is Dance Legend T-1000 (#1); this is one coat, no topcoat.

Stamped using Infinity 37** using FUN black stamping polish.  The newly released series of Infinity plates have a lot of images that are perfect for not only the base polishes to show through but also to make stamper decals or the Lead-Light Lacquer technique.

Topped with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash quick dry top coat to finish.

Infinity Plates are available at Dashica Beauty.  I have heard that there will be another 25 plates released soon but haven't seen any previews of them yet; just that it is in the works.

Thanks for looking!

P.S.  The winner of the Sally Hansen Prizepack has been chosen via raffleopter so be sure to check your emails!

DS Original and Infinity 37

This is a mani I did as part of Digit-al Dozen does Vintage Challenge but discovered via googling that OPI DS Original isn't as old as I thought.  It is older in terms of polishes being released compared to today but not 'vintage' as in the definition of what constitutes vintage being 20 years or older so didn't use it.  (I do have some truly 'vintage' polishes; older Cutex and Sally Hansen polishes; however, when looking for polishes to use for the challenge, the ones I could find, I wasn't keen on wearing and the one Cutex polish in particular I was looking for, I couldn't find it.  Murphy's Law is that I found it last night of course; too late for DD Vintage Challenge!)  So didn't share this one at that time, but am now! Here's what I came up with.

Top coated.

Started with a base of three coats of OPI DS Original, no topcoat.

After waiting a bit for it to dry, stamped using Infinity 37** using Mundo de Unas #14 stamping polish.

I was intrigued how matte this stamped....and loved the effect!

Picture overload!

A closer look at Infinity 37

I few other pix that intrigued me!

Simple things obviously amuse me!

More pix just because I can't get enough!

I was so fascinated that this stamping polish was so matte with the holo underneath!  So cool! I do have an odd need to topcoat all mani's though so added a coat of SV.  While still cool, I like the look of the matte stamping better!

Have a great weekend; thanks for looking!
