Perseid Meteor Showers

I did these nails in anticipation of the Perseid Meteor Showers today into tomorrow early morning hours; however, as I type this post, it is storming with thunder, lightning and rain, with the forecast calling for showers until 5 am, so the chances of seeing them tonight is dwindling.  But at least I can look at the meteor showers on my nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of lots of polishes; this was the result.  Polishes used are Zoya Juvia, Penelope Luz Forbidden Love, Penelope Luz Nymphs, Phoenix Klaus, Chance 093, Morgan Taylor Deja Blue, Morgan Taylor Totally Betty and China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Maniology M535 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.  If you check the image on the plate, you will see that I stamped it sideways to mimic the showers.

This was Ms. Cindy; did two coats of China Glaze Blue Rasperry Ice topped with Ribbits Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark.

I'm going to check for the meteor showers periodically before I go to bed and if by chance I don't see any, I'm sure there will be lots of images on the web to see from those who were lucky enough to see them!

Breaking Out A 'Cult' Favourite!

One of my favourite colour combinations is royal blue and white and here I've combined it with another one of my favourite things; flakies.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Mallory, no top coat.

Topped with Cult Nails Clairvoyant.  

This wasn't quite the look I was seeking, so added a coat of Jrien Good Gris Gris (PPU Aug 2019), no top coat.

I was still looking for more, so layered this with Nine Zero Flakie All The Things Gold.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  

Stamped with image from Marianne Nails n.81 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next day, I added a coat of Essie Matte About You which highlighted all those layered polishes a bit better.

Started with a base of Pahlish ? with an accent nails of Zoya Tilda, no top coat.

Stamped all nails except accent with Clover Moyra 24, and stamped MdU Irish 2 on accent nail, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added dots on all nails except accent using Zoya Tilda, no top coat.

White Christmas

We had a white Christmas for the first time in a few years so I thought I'd share another snowflake mani, even thought the snow is melting with the milder temperatures that we are having.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a  base of Zoya Skipper, then topped it with Sizzlin Shades Supernova.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

 

Stamped using Lina 4 Seasons Winter 03 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  My favourite snowflake image!

Leaves are Falling!

This mani came about for no reason other than I was in the middle of doing fall nails and felt like wearing green polish.  Sometimes it is just that simple.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Zoya Shawn, no top coat.  Did between 2 to 3 coats as 2 wasn't enough on all the nails.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using What's Up Nails B 033 using MdU 9, 13, 106, 107, CjS 151 and 245.  Accent nail is UC mini:  hello fall & Pumpkin Spice an Nicole Diary-196. I used a shrinking stamper for the words on the ring finger to fit.

Autumn Days

I guess every day is autumn days until December 21st so here's another autumn days mani!

Started with a base of fall looking skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Zoya Honey, Zoya Arbor, KBShimmer Oh My Gourd, OPI Is That A Spear In Your Pocket? and OPI Piazza Cake.  

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Maniology M425

Did layered stamping on index and pinky with image from Maniology M425 and on the middle finger using CjS LC-56 as well as the ring finger using CjS-267.  Thumb image is MoYou London Fall in Love 09; shadow stamped the words.  Used MdU 9, 13, 48, 59, 106, 107 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

More Fall Air!

The leaves have been turning for a few weeks now so we are starting to see fall colour on the leaves, which is nice to see again.  Here's another fall leave mani that I did last year.

Started with three coats of Zoya Sam, no top coat.  I don't wear these dark colours that often because unless your application skills are spot on, it doesn't always look the best but that doesn't stop me from wearing it!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using a mix of polishes, MdU 42, 107, 107 and 114, did leaves from What's Up Nails B021, with MoYou London Fall In Love 04 shadow stamped on ring finger.

Butterflies!

I was out on the patio not too long ago watching butterflies flutter around and it make me remember that I had a butterfly mani that I had done some time ago but didn't share.  Until now, that is.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Different Dimension Karma, no top coat.  This is one of my all time favourite polishes!

Stamped using image from BM-XL352 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added a few dots from Zoya Tilda for a pop of colour.
