Nautical Nails

Here's a mani from the archives; I did this back on May 23 2017!  Too many mani's, not enough time to share!  Anyway, we've been spoiled with nice, spring-like weather lately and these nails scream spring/summer to me!  Too bad the weather is forecasting snow tonight but spring will be here soon enough!  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Seaside, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Curali 101 using FunkyFingers Gesso.  These images went along swimmingly with the name of the Pahlish, "Seaside" lol.

Curali 010.

Added dots for filler and interest using Pahlish Test Batch:  The Narrows.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It won't be long until we have weather nice enough to be out in the water; in the meanwhile, nautical nails will have to do!  Thanks for looking!

Digit-al Dozen Does My Home; Day 2

It's day 2 of my home theme for this month's Digit-al Dozen challenge.  Today's nails are inspired by the view outside my kitchen window as my yard backs onto ravine and I have this great forest view!  Not too bad for being in the heart of the city! I'm kinda fascinated by the trees back there and often take pictures of them when they are covered by the snow and ice and have posted a few pictures at the bottom of this post...anyway, this is what I came up with!

(Please excuse awkward hand pose but you can see the holo peek through like sparkly snowflakes!)

Started with a base of three coats of ILNP Central Station.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Curali 011 , then double stamped using MdU 1 and 2.  Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Then added KBShimmer Yeti Or Not at tips.

Here's a few of the pix of the trees in the ravine that back onto my yard as I mentioned!

Here's the other ladies day 2 mani's!

Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer

I'm sharing another polish from The Upside Down Collection by CANVAS lacquer; this is Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer!

I'm kinda digging this futuristic nail art that I did, too!

Started with a base of two coats of Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer**.  Before I applied the polish, I set the bottle upside down for a few minutes to get some of the shards to the top of the bottle; even then, I had to do a little fishing for them but nothing I haven't done with other polishes that have denser glitter.

Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer is described as a silver with a soft holographic finish with scattered silver holographic shards.

For nail art, I wanted a design that would still allow those awesome holographic shards to peek through. Decided on an image from Curali 016 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight, then added an accent stud for interest.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Friends Don't Lie by CANVAS lacquer and the rest of the recently released The Upside Down Collection are available from their Etsy shop here!
