Digit-al Dozen Does Re-creation of Digit-al Dozen; Day 3

It's still Digit-al Dozen week and we are still on recreating past mani's!  Here's my Day 3 recreation!

My nails are my attempt at the recreation here at Bee Polished.  I just realized I didn't do them in the same order which would have been better.  The placement of mine where decided upon by the stamp size and nail size; trying to figure out mainly what image would fit on the pinky.
.
Started with a base of OPI Tiramisu, two coats.

Stamped with MJ XXIII using Funky Fingers Dark Knight and MdU 22 and 23.  Sometimes I used them on their own, sometimes, I mixed the colours up if I wanted something a little different.

MJ XXIII

Added words on middle using MJ XXIII test plate.  The same words are on the MJ XXIII plate but they are bigger.

Added one last image on the thumb from the same MJ XIII test plate.

Top coated with KBShimmer to finish.  I did have plans to add random yellow dots; one, for colour interest and two, as tribute to Yellow Submarine, but ultimately left it as is.

I was kind of peeved at myself after I finished this as I found a more similar image to Bee's nails a day or so after when I was looking through my plates which would have been more true to the original mani.  Sorry, Bee!

Here's the other Day 3 recreated mani's of the other ladies!

Digit-al Dozen Does Brands; Day 4

Day 4 of Digit-al Dozen does Brands.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of CND Oilslick (thumb), OPI This Gown Needs a Crown (index and ring), OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (middle) and Sinful Colors Cool Gray (pinky).  Topped all but the silver with SV.  I must say this is the first time I wore OPI This Gown Needs a Crown and I love it!  Love the sparkle/matte look, easy clean up and it's not gritty at all.  New fave go to silver!

Added assortment of images from various plates; MJ XXIII test (middle), MJ XXV (computer on index), FUN 6 (ring), MJ XXI (thumb) and QA 18 (pinky and index apples).  Stamping polishes used were black Konad black special polish and CND silver chrome.

Decided to add a few random dots using same base polishes and black and white Konad, as well as added an additional apple on index finger.

Finished mani by topping all fingers with SV except index.  I wanted to see if there was an obvious difference by top coating OPI This Gown Needs a Crown or not for future mani reference!

I must say this is the great thing about doing the Digit-al Dozen challenges; I doubt there is any other reason why I would put Steve Jobs face on my nails...but on the other hand, I'm glad that these type of stamping images exist as they give us so many different mani options and variety.

Here's the other ladies Day 4 mani's!

Digit-al Dozen Does Brands; Day 2

I somewhat feel like a traitor posting this; anyone who knows me well knows my loyalty to (and love of my triple triple) Tim Hortons, but unfortunately, there is no Tim Horton logo or stamping plates so (cringe) Starbucks will have to do.  I also thought this is probably the only time I'll ever use the Starbucks image so no better time than now for Day 2 for Digit-al Dozen Brand week.

(I had to resize the pix a little smaller as too much was cut off; however, please click to see larger pix if interested).

Started with a base of three coats Cirque French Roast (get it?) on thumb and pinky, two coats of Quo by Orly Nude on middle and index finger and two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on middle.  All have top coat except the Cirque.  I chose Quo by Orly Nude as an ode to how my morning coffee looks (Tim Horton large triple/triple - don't judge!). I really liked the sparkly look of Cirque French Roast; however, when I wear it next, I will wear dark brown undies with it.

Stamped using RuiZ07 using Mundo de Unas #7 (middle Starbucks image).

Also used MJ XXIII test (thumb), using white Konad special polish, CICI & SISI 10 using Mundo de Unas #7 and #22 (ring finger), Messy Mansion MM10 using Mundo de Unas #22 (index) and Messy Mansion MM10 (pinky) using white Konad special polish.

MJ XXIII test; the finalized MJ XXIII is slightly different, fyi.

Topped with SV to finish.

This didn't turn out too badly....considering it is Starbucks lol!  I really love the thumb image and was also impressed how well the Mundo de Unas #22 stamped as there aren't too many brown polishes that stamp well.

Here's the other ladies fantastic Day 2 Brand mani's!
