Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles

One of the polishes I received not too long ago was this gorgeous green, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure On Pines and Needles.  My first thought when I was thinking on how to use it was it would be fantastic to wear to a holiday function so thought I would share now as I know that people are starting to attend them!  This is what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles** with an accent of OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby.  No top coat.  Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles is an emerald creme with a hint of shimmer; a perfect colour for the holiday season or when you are looking for a jewelled toned green.

Stamped using CND Gold using an image from Lily Anna 08.

Top coated all fingers but accent with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Sally Hansen On Pines and Needles is available at local retailers; I've seen displays at several stores in my area.

Hope you're having a great weekend; thanks for looking!

A-England Excalibur Renaissance and Hurt No Living Thing

I apologize for the unexpected hiatus; I had hoped to get this post up much sooner than now as I've had these nails done for a couple weeks and uploaded the pix a week ago; just hadn't finish the post. Hopefully, I'll have some time this week to do a few posts and next week is the start of the Digit-al Dozen challenge so the plan is that there will be a few more posts coming up soon!

Here's a couple mani's highlighting A-England polishes that were sent to me from Nail Polish Canada to review.

The first is A-England Hurt No Living Thing.

A-England Hurt No Living Thing has a slightly tinted base with beautiful pink shimmer.  As Hurt No Living Thing is fairly sheer (and I'm sure you don't want to see my stained nails!), I layered one coat over Quo by Orly Runway Ready.

Different lighting; the shimmer is more obvious.  (This lighting, the polish is more accurate; but always give me lobster hands!)

Stamped using Lily Anna 08 using Mundo de Unas 20 stamping polish, which I chose to compliment the shimmer in Hurt No Living Thing.

Top coated to finish.  Feel free to click on the pix to see the shimmer from A-England Hurt No Living Thing!

A-England Excalibur Renaissance was also sent for review.  This is one coat, no topcoat....aka, perfect in those situations when you need a quick mani change! There were no application issues; one coat had great coverage and it dried fast as the case with most polishes with this metallic finishes. And while the pix look a little brush strokey, it wasn't nearly as obvious in real life.

Stamped using Konad black special polish using assortment of images from plates Big SdP C-2 (thumb, ring and pinky), Big SdP O (index) and Big SdP I (middle).  Unfortunately, cleanup isn't the best....I have been using other black polishes for stamping and forgot how bad Konad is to clean up.  It's not too bad here the next day, but still could be better.

A-England polishes are available here at Nail Polish Canada**.

Thanks for looking!
