Blue Tone on Tone!

It seems like a hot minute since I've shared a blue mani as my feed has been filled with fall nails, so I needed to remedy that stat!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Essie Out of the Blue, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with ILNP Flashing Lights; this is a magnetic polish but I used it here as a topper.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from SdP 34 using MoYou London Stamping Polish Beach House .

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I did these nails in August 2024; it was the best my nails looked in a long, long time.  Unfortunately it didn't last long as I got a nail infection shortly after this and have been sporting shorties again.  I know they will heal but not the best for this nail polish loving lady waiting for the nail to grow out.

Nails from Five Years Ago

I did these nails back in November 2018...making them not quite 5 years ago.  I have no idea why I didn't share them at the time...could have been too busy, had better nails to share, ticked at the stamping smear so didn't think they were post worthy.  Who knows.  But I've had them saved for a while now and they don't look that bad, so here I am, finally sharing them!

Creative Shop 111

Started with a sponged gradient using ILNP Avalon and No Days Off, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Creative Shop 111 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped using a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Smeared stamping fail from not floating the top coat well enough.  Thankfully since then, I've discovered Apipila no smear top coat and use it reguarly now.  No issues with stamping smear now.  Game changer!

I did these nails last year so if you follow CNF on IG, you've already seen them before.  I didn't have time then to do a blog post so am sharing them now.  Here's what I came up with!

MdU SF Star Wars.  I didn't use this plate but thought I would which is why I had pulled it.

Started with a base of ILNP My Cat Suit, no top coat.

Topped with Sally Hansen Hue There?

Mdu Mod 449

After topping with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top, sponged some creme polishes for a galaxy look on the middle and ring fingers.  Stamped images from MdU Star Wars 3 (middle), MdU Star Wars (ring) MdU Mod 449 (pinky) MDU XL Star Wars (thumb and middle) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief.  The silver on the thumb is using Barry M Foil Effects 319, the shadow stamping on the thumb is MdU 15 mixed with Painted Polish Stamped in Denim and the thumb is MdU 65 and Painted Polish Stamped in Sand.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Blues!

If you've followed my blog for a while, you may have noticed the nails that I share are much different from years ago.  In that, I've been sharing simple stamping for the last couple years.  There is a reason for this, one I will probably share at some time, just not now.  But the easiest explanation is that life is just too busy to spend 2-3 hours at night doing my nails but I still have a love of polish and stamping.  So I change my nails, and doing some simple stamping is what happens most of the time.  I still do more complicated nails for holidays and if by chance I have more time some evening but for the most part, they look a lot like this.  It's all I can do at this time.  Hopefully, this may chance, but for now, it's what I have to do.  The other thing is I only take around 10 pictures of each mani now, when I used to take maybe 100.  As I blog for the simple enjoyment of doing my nails, and I'm not doing sponsored, PR or ad nails, I don't need to have the absolute perfect shot so am just taking enough pix that I have to document the mani.  This mani, I took 15 pix and these are the ones that made the cut.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Marianne Nails n.05 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Delicate Flakes

I hope it's a while before we see any snow...except for a light dusting on Christmas Eve, I'm not a real big fan of it.  In my younger years, I didn't mind it so much but now, it's just a nuisance.  I'd rather see it on my nails than on the ground or worse yet, driving in it.

Colourful Fall Leaves

The leaves are already starting to turn and before we now it, fall will be fully upon us.  It is one of my favourite times of year as I love to see all the fall colours.  In the meanwhile, it will have to do to see them on my nails!

Started with a base of two coats of Elevator/Pahlish The Cricket Minister, no top coat.

Topped with ILNP Karma.

Then topped with Gelixir 166.

Valentine Hearts!

I did a few non-traditional Valentine's Day mani's this year, including this one.  

Started with a base of ILNP Varsity Jacket, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from BM-XL201 using Hit the Bottle neons Blutonium, Shazam Yellow, I Pink, Therefore, I Am!, High Voltage Violet and Orange You Excited?.  The pink didn't show up very well, so I double stamped it, trying to get as close as possible on the first stamped layer.  I cannot believe it, but I didn't do a bad job of overlapping on it!

Happy New Year!  These are the nails that I rang in 2018 with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Oogie Boogie, no top coat.

Did a sponged gradient using Pahlish Oogie Boogie and ILNP Varsity Jacket, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped confetti using assortment of MdU's that I didn't mark down (sorry) using MoYou Festive Collection-39.

Stamped using Sugar Bubbles SBS04 using MdU 1.
