More Fall Leaves!

The third mani in my Fall Series this week was my effort to try to change it up a little from the brightly stamped, colourful leaves.  So did black leaves on a colourful base; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Revlon Alluring Amber.  This is my personal perfect to me/go-to orange....you can bet your bottom dollar that I have several backups of it (was quite handy to find at Revlon discount warehouse sales when they are 3/$5!)

For some layering and base interest, added a coat of Pretty & Polished Phoenix; this is one coat with no top coat.

Added leaves from an image on Chez Floral 009 using black FUN stamping polish.

Finished with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Are you tired of seeing fall mani's?  I have quite a few yet to share but have a feeling only one or two more will make it to post by the end of the week.  And don't worry if you are more into Halloween mode....next week will be a week full of  Halloween mani's thanks to a special Halloween event some of the ladies in the Digit-al Dozen will be participating in!

Thanks for looking!

My Favourite Fall Mani

Today is a windy, rainy, cold and generally overall miserable fall day in my area. I thought I'd share a nice and bright fall mani to brighten the day!  I did this mani a couple week ago; this might possibly be my most favourite fall mani that I've ever done!  Here's what I came up with!

Different light; can see the stamping a little more clearly.

Started with skittles; polishes used starting at thumb and going clockwise are Barielle Peanut Butter; Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Loden Green, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, American Apparel Lipstick and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Butterscotch. All two coats; topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Chez Automne 001and Chez Floral 009.  Variety of stamping polish colours were used; all Mundo de Unas:  2 (black), 9 (red), 11 (yellow), 32 (orange) and 48 (green).

Added a few more leaves to accent/filler on thumb and middle using same polishes.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to Finish.

I did my right hand slightly different but really liked how it turned out too!

I have a few more fall mani's to share over the next few days, then will be sharing Halloween mani's starting October 27th.

Thanks for looking!

Digit-al Dozen Does Floral; Day 4

Here we are at Day 4 for Digit-al Dozen floral week!  I did this mani a couple nights ago; I didn't have any intention of using it as one of my five floral mani's this week as I had my five mani's already picked out to share, but liked how it turned out so much, I thought I might as well share now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of El Corazon 235, no topcoat.  I have no idea what drew me to this polish enough to order it!  I mean, it is pretty enough with a hint of shimmer and holo....but just not my style at all.  I guess I was getting out of my comfort zone lol!

Added a layer of Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery.  This pix again has no top coat.  I have an immediate need to layer Elevation Aguja St. Exupery on top of everything stat!

I am so glad that I got a backup bottle....it is a beautiful topper!

I wasn't sure what colour to use for stamping; I thought any of brown, black, gold or white would work out well for this.  As it is so neutral, I'm sure there are other colours too that would work but I decided to use white; stamped using Konad white special polish using an image from Chez Floral 009.

Added a little glitter accent to a few of the floral centres for some interest.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

While I'm much more into brights and bolds, I really liked the subtle, classy look of these nails; I think these would be oh, so pretty as bridal nails too!

Here's the other ladies Day 4 mani's!
