It's Love Time!

With the arrival of February 1st, I'm going to be sharing Valentine's Day mani's for the next little while, starting with this one!  This is one of the most typical Valentine's Day mani's that I'll be sharing; the rest are more non-traditional, that's for sure.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of pink skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, polishes used are:  WingDustCollections Beach Bum, Different Dimension April Showers Bring May Showers, Potion Polish The Glen Fairy, Pahlish Skyward and Painted Polish OK, Bloomer, no top coat.  Coats vary from 2-4 coats, with the WingDust needing the most, mainly to get some of those big glitters out!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using assortment of images using Painted Polish Blanc Slate: UberChic Love and Marriage 03 (middle), Bunny Nails HD-B (index and ring), Lina All About Love 02 (thumb) and Lina All About Love 01 (pinky), no topcoat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Swooning over that WingDust on the thumb; those extra coats were worth it!!

Thanks for looking!

WingDustCollections Perfect Day

There's enough blue in WingDust Perfect Day to qualify to post in April blue posts in support of Autism Awareness month and regardless, it's my blog and I can do what I want anyway!  WingDust Perfect Day is one of the most interesting and complex polishes that I have wore in a long, long time!  I'm not sure I did the polish justice with my stamping though; maybe slightly too busy for a lot of tastes but I loved how it turned out! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of WingDustCollections Perfect Day with accents of Quo by Orly April Showers.  It's interesting that April Showers shows blue in some pix and grey in others but regardless of which way it leans, I think a good accent to WingDust Perfect Day.

A couple close ups of WingDustCollections Perfect Day.

Look at everything going on in WingDustPerfect Day!  There's stars, different colours and sizes of glitter, pink shimmer, gold flakes; everything but the kitchen sink is here!

Stamped using Mundo de Unas #1 with images from DRK-Mystic Ocean.  The stamping hides a bit more of the glitter than I would have liked but I really wanted the bubbles to go along with the fish.

DRK - Mystic Ocean.  There is lots happening on this plate too!

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Valentine's Day Mani

Quickly before I forget, a winner has been chosen for the CNF giveaway posted here!  The email has gone out and the winner has 48 hours to respond...so if you entered, please check your email!  Thanks!

Is it too early for a Valentine's Day mani?  I hope not because I have quite a few to share already and with World Cancer Day, Groundhog Day, Olympics, Chinese New Year and the Super Bowl all happening between now and February 14th, I'll be doing well to get the ones I already have posted before February 14.....not to mention any new ones I put on my nails between now and then! So this is the first of a few that will be shown over the next few weeks!

Started with a base of two coats of Kiko Sugar Mat 452 on all fingers except accent which is WingDust Collections Muskoka Sunset, which I think accents the hot pink Kiko nicely with the hot pink glitter in it!  I have to thank a very generous nail friend overseas for this awesome Kiko polish which was received as part of a group Christmas Secret Santa exchange.

Closer look at Kiko Sugar Mat 452.  There is golden shimmer in there too but it wasn't that obvious until the polish was top coated but you can somewhat see the sparkle in the bottle.

Stamped with an assortment of plates using white Konad special polish; BM-317 (index), DRK-A (thumb and middle), and MJ (no number; one of the original MJ plates; pinky).

Topped with SV to finish (the golden shimmer in the Kiko is more obvious once top coated as you can see below).

While I was liking how this turned out, I thought the ring finger needed some stamping, so added an image from Chez Divers 001 on accent and topped with SV to finish....really this time!

Hope you are having a great week...and thanks for looking!

WingDust Lilacs in June

During a recent llarowe restock, I picked up a few WingDust Collections polishes including Lilacs in June, which I wore one day last week.  This is what I came up with.

Started with a base of two coats of WingDust Lilacs in June, topped with tc.

As described on llarowe, WingDust Lilacs in June is "a soft pink/purple base with a VERY shy lavender/aqua shimmer and loads of blue, purple, periwinkle and iridescent glitters.... the odd green holo might peek at you from time to time as well."

This is gorgeous...and very spring-like!  The polish was sheer enough that there was a dimensional effect in the layering of the glitters; yet two coats provided good coverage. And ohhhhh, that shimmer!!!   It didn't seem that shy on my nails at all!

Bottle pix of WingDust Lilacs in June.

Stamped using white Konad special polish using SdP 104, which is part of the new plates that Dashica released not too long ago!

Topped with HKGirl topcoat.

This was another mani that I used the NPB Glitter A-Peel and it peeled off no problems.  I only wish I had have taken a few pix out in the daylight with some lilacs, which are in full bloom in my area now as they would have been the perfect backdrop for this mani!

WingDustCollections Ocean Tears

A couple months ago, I was browsing a FB group I belong to and there was a thread were someone had asked for known Canadian indie polish makers.  There were several suggestions and as I read through them, some of them I knew and had already been buying their polishes, but there was one I hadn't heard of, WingDustCollections.  So I wandered over to the WingDustCollections Etsy page and bought a few to try out, including this one, Ocean Tears.

Started with a base of two coats of WingDust Ocean Tears, no topcoat.

A bottle pix of Ocean Tears.

This was a mani I was wearing just before Valentine's Day but didn't get around to posting until now so these are V-Day images....plates used were DRK A (pinky and index), MM03 (thumb), BM 311 (middle) and Apipilia P.04 (ring) using Konad white special polish.

Topped with SV.

WingDustCollections is based out of Toronto Ontario; while I had bought these polishes from the Etsy store here; soon after my polishes arrived, llarowe had announced that she was stocking this line as well!

Hope you're having a great week....thanks for looking!
