Digit-al Dozen, Love and Heartbreak, Day 5

Here's the lone mani I did for this weeks theme that had heartbreak as part of it.

 photo Picture298_zpsba708d6d.jpg

Started with a base of two coats of Sinful Colors Cool Gray, topped with SV.

 photo Picture279_zpsecf3b1cf.jpg

Stamped using red and black Konad special polishes using Mash-31 (pinky), SdP D-07 (middle), SdP 85 (you and me on index), and HD-A (wording on thumb and heart on ring ringer).

Added a few more images using VL003 (cross out circle on index), HD-A (separated heart on index; I stamped one half then the other as I was concerned it would be too large to fit the area), T23 (heart on thumb) and E01 (black roses on index).

Topped with SV.

Another Christmas Mani

I did this mani quickly late last night...not terribly detailed because it was late and I was getting tired, especially after cramming alllllll my Christmas shopping into Saturday and Sunday. My brain was saying yes, continue to shop Sunday night as the stores were open late.....but my feet were saying no more, no more! I should have learned my lesson from when I went to the US last year and wore boots doing all that walking...that massive shopping trips call for running shoes!

Started with base of Color Blast by Orly in Reflection. (I didn't take pix of base, sorry). Topped with a coat of Cover Girl Goddess. I kinda goofed up here, probably because I was tired because I should have hand painted in the moon on my pinky before I topped with Goddess....but I forgot, so after I hand painted it in, I put another thin coat of Goddess on my pinky.

Stamped using Konad black special polish using T45 (reindeers), D-01 (sleigh), D-07 (words Merry Christmas) and SdP C-19 (Santa).

Topped with coat of SV. Here's my not often seen right hand, which I stamped slightly different using Christmas themed stamps.

Is your Christmas shopping done? I'm done...I think. Now just need to find the time to do some wrapping!

Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too!

Last night when I was looking through my image plates trying to come up with a mani, I seen that there's a few of the Winnie the Pool characters so decided to do a Winnie the Pooh themed mani. Here's what I came up with:

Unfortunately, there's no Owl or Rabbit (that I could find anyway!) so I took a little bit of artistic liberty and inserted another owl image that I had. LOL!

Base polishes used (starting thumb going clockwise) are CND Girlie Pink, Color Club Explosive, Orly Cashmere Cardigan, OPI Osaka-to-me Orange and Petite Color Fever Vintage Gray. They are all two coats, except CC Explosive, which was three.

Explosive dried a little dark and I was hoping that it would be lighter like the colour in the bottle, but it was the closest to what I thought Pooh looked like with the polishes in my stash (and because as I'm no frankener!)

Then added images, using Konad black special polish. Image plates used were all SdP: D-07, C-02, A-11, B-18 and A-02. Here's mani in progress.

And because my stamping was off (as usual!) and didn't quite get every image centred well, I added a few dots to try to mask this...and to add a little bit of interest. Used a dotting tool; dot colours are CND Anchor Blue, CND Raspberry Parfait, Konad red special polish and LA Girls Disco Brites Can U Dig it.

Sorry there's so many pictures...I had a hard time getting good images without getting glare and had difficulty in getting the whole image to focus..... I'm no photographer either! lol!

Here's Icing Epic Winning....

My last post had referenced Icing by Claire's Epic Winning (and Tiger's Blood) and there were a couple of commenters who weren't that familiar with it, so I decided to use it as part of my current mani.

I used two coats of OPI DS Fantasy to start. Then did one coat of Icing Epic Winning on thumb nail for accent. Lastly, stamped using fauxand IP SdP D-07 with my go-to silver stamping polish, Nicole by OPI Positive Energy.

A few pix of mani in progress just to show you what it looked like.

OPI DS Fantasy by itself in a couple different lighting options.

This is two coats (and terrible clean up!)

Added one coat of Icing Epic Winning on thumb nails. Here's bottle pix of Icing Epic Winning. As far as I know, its only available at Icing by Claire's stores...you can't get the polish at Claire's. It was $5 with buy one, get second at half price, which is a pretty good deal. For anyone who has severe chemical reactions, this polish does have a pretty strong odour, which may turn off a few people.

I got the feeling that *maybe* the pix wouldn't translate the sparkle in Epic Winning so much, so I took a short video if you want to check it out! Please try not to get sea-sick while you watch it! LOL!!!

I've love to hear your thoughts on Epic Winning...is it *winning* to you? Or an Epic fail? And if have it, please share your mani! I'd love to see how you wore it...please leave a link of your pix in the comments so I can check it out!

And lastly, just a reminder that this is the last week to enter my 300ish follower giveway, which ends on June 19th. If you are interested in checking it out, go here!

Thx for looking!
