Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat!  Smell my feet! Give me something good to eat!

It will soon be time for the trick or treaters to go door to door in their Halloween costumes so thought I'd share this trick or treat mani!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Cadillacquer Wicked, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina Spooklicious! 03 on ring and index. What's Up Nails B054 on thumb and EYNails 10 on middle. using MdU 106.

Shadow stamped images using same plates with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, and added spider from Lina Spooklicious! 03.

Topped using KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Unfortunately, there were some stamper scraping issues that weren't obvious until the nails were top coated but if anything, it kinda makes them look even creepier!

Fall Leaves!

I bet about now, you're glad this isn't a floral mani, right?  I was glad to share so many of them but it is time to move away for florals for a while, although some might show up here and there occasionally until I get the urge to share a bunch again.  But here's a fall leaf mani now!

Started with a base of Pretty Serious Type 40, one coat, no topcoat.  Yes, that is right, ONE coat!

Topped with Cadillacquer Blue Poppy, two coats, no topcoat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Maniology m022 using MdU 9, 11, 66 and 80.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Snowflakes!!

Back to the white stuff on my nails.  We had snow earlier a few days ago so it got me wanting to share my snowflake nails again!

Started with a base of two coats of Cadillacquer Leilani and Trolljegeren (October, 2021 Polish Pickup), which was three coats.  Leilani (dark blue polish) is a thermal; however, my cold hands and short nails really only seen any thermal activity when I was in the shower or if I put warm water on them.  I didn't mind; I like the darker blue colour.  I go into buying a thermal always with the thought that I must like the cold colour versus the warm, as that is probably the colour that I'll see the most!  This combination was meant to be worn together, I think!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Winter Is Coming

I woke up yesterday with a dusting of the white stuff on the ground and all around and realized that winter is just around the corner.  We are going to be having some unseasonably warm days today and Friday but it is inevitable, winter is coming.   Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of FingerPaints Blissfully Blue with accents of Cadillacquer Fragile.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Moyra 36-Winter Is Coming (how ironic is that?) on the thumb and index; the rest were stamped with images from Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02.  Using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I had a bit of polish smear again.  I've had this a few times lately and don't understand why as I've been using same topcoat and application method for what seems like years with no issues.  But I think I've narrowed it down to the brush on the tc so have switched it out and hope the issue is solved.  Some mani's were so badly smeared I can't fathom sharing them!  But some like this one are just a smidgen so am sharing them anyway.

Mistletoes!

Going through my draft posts to pick one to post, I realize i don't have a lot of holiday type of mani's to share yet this year!  I've only done a few, although it does seem like I've done my share fair of snowflake and ugly sweater mani's!  I had better remedy this soon in the next few days!  But this is a holiday mani I did do not too long ago that I am sharing now.  It kinda has a vintage vibe, don't you think?  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Cadillacquer Odette, three coats, no top coat.  A perfect base to do any Christmas or snow nail art!

Topped with  KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 03 using MdU 48.

Added dots using Moyra sp.02.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Stay Spooky!

I spent some time ago last weekend pulling some polishes that lend themselves to Halloween nails so that when I had time to sit down and do my nails, they were already at hand (as were Halloween plates as I pulled them and fall plates quite some time ago).  I'm not quite sure why I keep on buying polishes that lend themselves to Halloween manis when I discovered I have quite a few polishes already that lend themselves to Halloween manis.  So I thought I'd try to use quite a few of them in this mani because it might be some time before they get used again!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of skittles, polishes used starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Nine Zero Jack-O-Lantern Juice (3 coats), China Glaze Ick-A-Body (3), OPI Summer Lovin' Having A Blast (2), Cadillacquer White Knight (3) and Colors by Llarowe Sweet Nectar (Hypnotic Polish Excl) (3).  Case in point; I've had Ick-A-Body for I don't know how many years but have never wore it.  I don't know why I don't wear some of these polishes I have; it's like I collect them more than I wear them!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic Halloween-05 (middle and thumb) and MoYou Festive 16 (index, ring and pinky) using Painted Polish Stamped in Clay, MdU 11 and 52.

UberChic Halloween-05.

Shadow stamped on some of the nails using same images with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Also added bats to the thumb using image from UC Halloween-05.  My shadow stamping wasn't as tight as I would have like but what can you do lol.

Added spider (didn't make note of which plates, sorry) on index, then finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
