Two all beef patties, special sauce.....

lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun!

Anyone else remember that jingle?

It was ironic that I ended up at McDonalds the night when I wearing this mani.  It wasn't intentional but after working late one night, I stopped in at McD's for something to eat just because it was late and it's the only fast food place near my work without driving for blocks and blocks and this happened to be on my nails.  It caught the attention of the drive thru gal who thought it was very cool!

Started with a base of OPI Bride's Bouquet with accent of Sally Hansen Hearts on Fire, all two coats (no pix as have shown both before).   Then stamped using MJ V (McD on middle and coffee on index), MJ VIII (drink on pinky), CH41 (burger and fries), HB44 (ice cream) and QA1 (smile).  Stamping polishes used were Konad red and black special polishes and yellow is FUN Mango Shake.

Added a few white and yellow dots as well as took a little brush and coloured in a bit of the condiments on the burger for lettuce, tomato and cheese!

Are you lovin' it?  Lol.....!

How Was Your Weekend?

What a fabulous weekend! A long weekend at that due to the Canada Day holiday! Yahoooo!! I had a great time! Spent a lot of time at the beach on the lake, under the sun, or swimming in the pool. There was a nice cool breeze off the lake making the hot weather tolerable.

July 1st, during the afternoon at Canada Day celebrations, we sang the National Anthem, then released red and white balloons into the sky. Then ate fresh picked strawberries and vanilla ice cream. The afternoon was spent having a barbecue and then lots of games for adults and kids alike!

There was an awesome fireworks display the evening of July 1st that blasted shades of colour explosions over the night sky.

Every night of the weekend was clear and we made the most of it, sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmallows, looking at all the twinkling stars under the clear night sky. (Thank goodness that terrible lighting and thunder storm Saturday night happened in the wee hours of the morn!)

The weather was fantastic.....we were kept cool with nice refreshing drinks..loaded with ice. Kept us well hydrated in the hot weather!

I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of my weekend on my nails! LOL! Base coat was one coat of OPI Need Sunglasses? topped with two coats of L'Oreal Yellow Seahorse. I found the L'Oreal difficult to apply, but after adding a few drops of thinner, the second coat applied better. Here's base by itself.

Then stamped using Konad special polishes in orange, black, red, blue pearl and deep jungle stamping polishes using fauxnad IP's D-17, D-16, T37, T27, HB 44, SdP B-20, and SdP C-13. Added a little sparkle after stamping. Kinda makes the stars twinkle....I'll have to keep this in mind for another mani!

Hope you had a great one....or are still having a great long weekend if celebrating July 4th! So, how was your weekend?

May You Find a Pot of Gold at the End of a Rainbow!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

As you may recall from my posts and some of my comments, there's only so many image plates out there with a St. Paddy's theme, so last weekend, I sifted thru all my plates to try to come up with something that weren't just all shamrocks and here's what I came up with!

Used IP's H17, fauxnad m28, B05, HB44, HB30, BM03 and HB40. Stamping polishes are Konad special polishes in green, red, white, black and yellow and CND Gold Chrome.

Here's the polishes before stamping:

Starting at thumb and working left to right: OPI Alpine Snow matte, Essie Going Incognito, Color Club Wild Child, LA Girls Disco Brites Can U Dig It, and LA Girls Disco Brites Turntable.

And in case enquiring minds what to know, I finally used the soft stamping plates that I got from nailart und mehr last summer. Here's what they look like if you aren't familiar:

(As they are made out of rubber, lint and hair stick to them like no tomorrow; they don't usually look like this after wiping with acetone... its just I wiped them with a paper towel for the picture and then all the lint and fibres rubbed off on them and I had no acetone with me to take it off!)

While last year when I seen the soft plates on their website and watched the youtube tutorial, it was not in English but looked simple enough so I bought a few to try out. Low and behold, it wasn't as simple as it looks (to me anyway!)... no matter how much fooling around with them I did, I couldn't get it. So when I went to their site a few weeks ago, I seen now that they have posted some instructions on their use in English so tried it again and was comfortable enough to attempt to try the stamp on my nails. This was the first time but now that I have somewhat the hang of it, I'm going to try them more often as they have some really cool designs on them!

Here's a shout out to Lacquer Ware who suggested I attempt to freehand a Leprechaun on one of my St. Paddy's mani! I have absolutely no freehand skills...I can barely do those accent strokes with nail stripers....but I thought, "What St. Patrick's Day mani would be complete without a leprechaun?" Then I remembered I had gotten out my St. Paddy's day pin for my sweater for this morning and took a quick pix of it...(I have a soft spot for all holidays and themes and decorate my house theme crazy! I also have pins that I put on my coats or sweaters for every holiday and this is the one I'm wearing today!.)

So here's my Leprechaun!!! It's the best I could come up with!!
