Hello Fall!

These nails are from 2018; in fact, this blog post was typed and scheduled almost a year ago!  Another fall mani that was done along with so many others and unfortunately I ran ran out of time before I had time to do a post.  So here's another fall mani on the first day of fall; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Colores de Carol The King Roars from August 2018 Polish Pickup.  Love, love, love this polish!  Funky colour and flakies; what's not to love!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 01 and 02 using MdU 9, 11 and 53.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Different lighting; can see the stamping a little better!

Digit-al Dozen Does Look Up; Day 1

It's Digit-al Dozen week!!!  The theme is look up as in what do you see when you look up?  Well, in my area, if I look up, I still see leaves falling!  The leaves are almost down but there are a few straggler trees that have leaves!  But I'm posting this on day 1 as the leaves are getting less and less every day and maybe by day 5, there will be no leaves left!  This is what I came up with!

This isn't as 'glamourous' as the pix before but it shows the stamping/gradient of the stamping a little better.

Started with a base of one coat of Girly Bits Sea You Next Fall.  No, that is not a typo.  One coat, y'all!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 using MdU 11, 32 and 53 and topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamping plate image and polishes.

I thought this was going to be the end of the mani but you know me and my love of busy nails so decided to add a few trees from Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using same stamping polishes.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This was my other hand which turned out really nice too if I don't say so myself, just excuse the poor cuticle condition!  Used same image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 using MdU 11, 32 and 53.

Here's the other ladies day 1 mani's!

This was one of my favourite fall manis!  Hope you like it too!

Happy Thanksgiving! Plus Digit-al Dozen Does TV Shows; Day 1

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm sorry for posting so late but I didn't have time to do my post in advance and didn't expect to spend so much time driving today!  I am thankful to have enjoyed two turkey dinners with family and friends over the weekend and tonight, am enjoying turkey dinner leftovers.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend and have many things in your life to be thankful for!  I'm thankful for many things and thankful if you by chance happen to read this post given blogging is on the downward spiral haha!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of SpaRitual Kindness (which is also solo on the thumb), Turtle Tootsies Tailgating Makes Me Drive Slower!, Sally Hansen CSM Butterscotch and Yummy Yam, Girly Bits Butternut Leave Me Alone and Another Brick in the Fall. Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I made stamper decals using some of the same smooshy base polishes as well as MdU 8, 9, 53, 59 and 106. Images used are Creative Shop 91 (thumb), Delany Automne 003 (index), UberChic UC Mini:  Give Thanks Thanksgiving Special (middle and pinky) and Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 (ring).

I thought the words on the ring finger were too faint plus black is on every other finger so shadow stamped (not very well though) using MdU 2.

Topped everything off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

It's also Digit-al Dozen challenge week; this week our challenge is TV Shows.  So these nails are also going to double duty and one of my favourite TV shows of the past being Married With Children and to tie it into today, the A Bundy Thanksgiving episode!  Oh that show cracked me up so often and I can remember just how different it was and out there compared to anything else being aired at the time.  Here's the youtube link if you care to watch it!

Here's the other ladies Day 1 mani's!

Yet More Fall Leaves!

I've been having a lot of fun with fall mani's this year; I've posted 4 fall mani's already and have maybeeee another six mani's that I haven't posted yet.  At the rate I'm going, I'll still be sharing fall nails in the new year, so I'm going to try to speed up the posting of them if my time permits.  Other than that, I'll still be sharing fall nails in January, or February or next fall, who knows!  Anyway, this is my absolute favourite fall mani that I've done this year although, I do have to say that overall, I'm pretty happy how all my fall nails have turned out.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats OPI Fearlessly Alice, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Girly Bits Unicornucopia which was one of the the Girly Bits August 2018 PotM.

For those who keep track of these things, OPI Fearlessly Alice did stain my nails ever so slightly; I wish I had have thought of the possibility before I did my nails so I could have added an extra coat of base; there were no application or removal issues with GirlyBits Unicornucopia.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 using MdU 11, 53, 59 and 66.

Eeep, I can do a thing!  I've never done this before although other bloggers have been doing it for ages but my resistance to technology puts me behind on some things including this.  But thanks to a simple app on my phone, I can highlight what images I've used for easy reference (that is should anyone care lol).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The base is one that begs for matte top coat to be added as it accentuates the flakies and glitter when matte top coated so finished with a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.  Look at those flakies!

If you are wondering why I chose to wear undies with the stunning Girly Bits Unicornucopia, it is because 1) I've been layering more often just to see the outcome and 2) when I tested it layered as shown here or two coats on its own, it was a brighter/lighter base with the undies which I think complimented the stamping better, at least for the look I was going for.  It was pretty nice without undies and on it's own too, this is just how I chose to share it!

More Fall Leaves!

I love, love, love, love how this turned out!  I've been doing some layering lately experimenting with some untrieds as well as trying to come up with some interesting nail art bases when I don't really have a lot of time to do something spectacular that takes hours of work as I simply don't have that time right now....hoping it just looks like it did when it was short and sweet!  But these fall skittles with the flakies on top are giving me all the fall feels and I was really happy how these turned out; I even wore them for a few days which is not typical for me!  Here's what I came up with!

Started out with a base of skittles in fall colours; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Girly Bits Another Brick in the Fall, Sally Hansen CSM Butterscotch, CND Vinylux Gypsy, Girly Bits It's Near Leaf All and CND Vinylux Offbeat.

Topped with DRK Baila Comigo Colecao Rita Lee.nada (this is entire contents of bottom label; it could be more than the name, I'm not really sure, sorry.)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next day (or even too, I can't remember, sorry) added a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte. The lighting isn't the best in the bathroom where I took the pix but it seemed to be the best lighting to see all the colours in the flakies!

I'm on the fence which I like better; glossy or matte.  They both have appeal to me.  What do you think?

Happy Fall, Y'All!

This post is scheduled to go live a couple minutes after the official arrival of fall.  I've resisted doing fall nails as we have had such hot weather but now that fall is officially here, I guess the time has come to start doing them!  I still have spring and summer nails to share never mind fall so I'm not sure how many fall mani's will be shared but I do have a few!  This is a mani that I recycled and wore for a few days; I did the base and wore it one day and while I was wearing it I was thinking that I had have wished I had have stamped spider webs versus the pattern that I did.  Then I thought that the first stamped image just lends itself to double stamping and thought some Halloween images would be good.  But really want to do a spider web base first so so went with leaves...that plus fall is before Halloween so I still have time to do Halloween nails! And who says there's no thought into doing nails; sometimes it take me longer to plan the mani then to do the nails themselves...in fact, most of the time, that is how it is!   Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Color Club Lunar Logic, a $3.99 Winners find.  Shown with no topcoat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with MJ XLV using KleanColor Metallic Black.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Thought with the speckled base of the Color Club and the hint of silver in the stamping that this would look good matte; topped with My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.

The next day, added turning leaves using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 02.  Stamping polishes used starting at thumb and going clockwise:  MdU 11, Mdu 9, Mdu 59, Mdu 53 and Mdu 66.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Thought this would look better matte again, so added another coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte.

I loved how this turned out; one of my favourite mani's in quite some time!

Happy Fall Y'all!  Enjoy the cooler temperatures, pumpkin all the things, sweaters, apple cider and all the other fall related items!
