Circles!

I've been wearing a lot of these bright green shades lately and hopefully I'll be sharing them over the next while.

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Feelin' Lime, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Vanessa Momina Limoncello Martini, no top coat.  Love this!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Vivid Lacquer VL-044

Stamped with image from Vivid Lacquer VL-044 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I was disappointed that the fine lines didn't show up better.  I tried quite a few different stamping polishes and they were all the same lack of transference.  Bummer as quite a bit of the swirl didn't show up.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Dandelions in the Wind

Here's a mani from 2019 that I hadn't shared yet.  I have so many draft mani's that I have to post them at some time so no better time than the present.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hydro Electric, no top coat.

Topped with Anna Sui 101, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

ZZ Dandelion

Stamped using images from ZZ Dandelion with accent nails using Vivid Lacquer VL24 on pinky and ring fingers, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does Mythic Creatures; Day 3

I'm running late for Day 3's mythic creature challenge, but here it is!  Hopefully you can make out this mythic creature as the image was a big one as you can see!  It was tricky to stamp as well as necessitating some acrobatic finger poses but hopefully your eyes 'drag on' this mythical creature!  (How was that for a clue!) Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of one coat of Barielle Irish Eyes, no top coat.

Added a very thin coat of CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-Oceans, no top coat.

Added KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

For the scales, stamped using image from Vivid Lacquer VL022 using CND Gold Chrome.

There's another image on VL022 that has the filled in scales, so I stamped on top using Hit The Bottle Electric Indigo and Hit The Bottle I Blue It All On Polish, trying for a multichrome dragon scale look.  The idea here was also to shadow stamp (even though this plate came out before shadow stamping so the images don't line up that well) but to also have a hint of the base polishes peeking through.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using another image on the same VL022 plate using Funky Fingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Thought that if I matted it, the base and outline might show up a little better, so added a coat of OPi Matte.

Here's the other ladies Day 3 mani's!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas Does Fashion

This weeks 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge is fashion.  I've been watching Project Runway lately so the first thing that came to my mind was behind the scenes of fashion which is what I decided to do for this weeks challenge. This is what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats KBShimmer Owl Miss You; this is with no top coat.

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

Stamped using images from Vivid Lacquer VL039 (dress mannequin on pinky, scissors and sewing machine on ring), Messy Mansion MM30 (tape and buttons on index and button on ring), Marianne Nails n.38 (designer at the drawing board doing conception drawing on middle) and Marianne Nails n.28 (model on thumb).  Used Funky Fingers Dark Knight as stamping polish.

Tax Time!

Sharing a Polish Previously Received for Review!

I'm late getting this post up but as today is the usual deadline for filing your taxes in Canada (except this year, due to a notice distributed earlier in the week by CRA stating the deadline is May 5, which was an error, they have now officially extended it to 3:00 am May 5th), I thought I would do a tax related mani!  Of course, it's blue being that I've been sharing blue mani's for the month of April in support of Autism Awareness.  This is what I came up with!

Started with a base of a coat of Nubar Fan Club; one coat gave pretty good coverage and I knew I would be adding glitter and stamping.

Layered a thin coat of Shimmer Sarah on all fingers except accent, which got a second coat of Nubar Fan Club.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Close up of Shimmer Polish Sarah**.

Stamped using Funky Fingers Gesso using Bundle Monster BM-311 on all fingers except accent.  Accent is stamped with Apipila 03 and VL011.

Close up of Vivid Lacquer VL011.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I haven't really shared this before, but I've been trying out a new glitter removal base; NYC Strip Me Off Base Coat.  I used it on all fingers here and it worked well even on the non glitter polish!  So far, used it about half a dozen times and it has worked well every time.  Can't beat the price either for under $2 here in Canada!

Hopefully you've enjoyed all the blue mani's this month...and have filed your taxes lol!  Myself, I pay someone to do mine so I don't actually have to pull my hair out and swear while doing them....good luck to you if you do yours!

Teal Swirls

Just like there's a wide assortment of disorders in the autism spectrum, there's a wide assortment of shades in the blue colour spectrum including teal so this teal polish is being shared as part of wearing blue for April Autism Awareness month.

Started with a base of Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint, two coats, no top coat.  This is part of the Nicole by OPI Gumdrops texture collection from a couple years ago.

Stamped using Vivid Lacquer VL022 using white Konad special polish.

As I have a need to top coat all things even when I shouldn't sometimes like with textured polishes, I did anyway; used HKGirl quick dry.

Hopefully you're enjoying these blue mani's during the month of April!
