Welcome Spring!

Spring has officially arrived!

Started with a base of two coats of Rogue Lacquer Feast Mode, no top coat.  This polish just came in the mail; I placed an order in January and it finally arrived!  It was postmarked on January 23rd; almost two months to get here.  The other thing is that I've been wearing green a lot and had decided that I wasn't going to be wearing green for a while, but when I got this, I had to put it on my nails right away!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped accent nails using Marianne Nails n.42 using MdU 5, then stamped and double stamped using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped using KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added dots using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Then topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next day, I sat down to do my nails and seen the words 'Welcome Spring' the plate, so decide to add them on the accent nails using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I noticed that the dots in the flowers weren't centered when I did my nails the next day; I actually thought that I dotted them off center, but looking at the pictures above, they were fine!  It's like the top coat floated/moved or something on several fingers (middle, index, thumb)!!!  I've never had this happen before!  I thought I was off so fixed them by making larger dots when I added the stamping as well.  Really weird.

Enjoy your day; thanks for looking!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

It's St. Patrick's Day; may you find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, don't drink too much green beer and stay away from those foolish leprechauns!

Started with a base of two coats of Daily Hues What Band is Next? on white soft blur base, no topcoat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

UC mini: St. Patrick's Day 4

Stamped using image from UberChic mini: St. Patrick's Day 4 using Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery with accent of MdU Irish 1.

Shadow stamped all images using same plate with Painted Polish Woodland Whimsey 2.0.  Also added a few shamrocks on the thumb and shadow stamped them as well.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Ms. Cindy; similar images but not quite the same.  The first layer of stamping is a bunch of greens as I was trying to figure out which green I wanted to use for the shared mani.

Thanks for looking!

Perfecto!

These nails pretty much sum up everything I love about nails and stamping right now:  awesome nail polish, flakies, cool stamped design, matchy-matchy, dots, and interesting stamped image for interest but still lets the beauty of the base show through!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Painted Polish Twister On the Tides, no top coat.  This is from Polish Pickup August 2019.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Marianne Nails XXL 1 using Hit the Bottle Nay Jones's Locker.  While normally I'd paint nail studs and apply them on the accent nail, I did dots with the same stamping polish just to mix it up a little.  Note:  learn how to do dots better!

Topped with KBShimmer Clealy on Top to finish.

Have a great week and thanks for looking!

Easter Bunny Nails!

I've heard that the Easter Bunny provides an essential service and hope that he made it to your home this morning, sharing a little Easter joy!  He skipped our house (we didn't need all any chocolate with all the home cooking and baking going on!) but was here on my nails and in spirit!

I went with another skittle mani for this base; starting at thumb and going clockwise, used Pahlish Ready or Yacht, Girly Bits Peep Calm and Carry On, Great Lakes Lacquer If You Swatch It, They Will Come, Pahlish Cotton Tail and Girly Bits Blossom Sauce.  The Girly Bits polishes are pretty opaque so only needed two coats; the rest needed three either to reach opaque or had to stroke the tips a little bit more to cover.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from MoYou London Festive Collection-09 (thumb, index and middle), Apipila L26 (ring), UberChic UC Yay Spring! (words on ring) and UberChic UC Welcome Spring (pinky) using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Using CND Pink Taffy and a brush or dotter, added a pop of colour where you see it!

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Easter Nails!

I always associate white lilies with Easter (aka Easter lilies) so always try to do a lily mani at Easter.  But as much as I do try to do them, they just don't seem to turn out the best no matter how much I try.  Even these, they are OK but I know I can do better!  But sharing them anyway, for inspiration sake if nothing else!

Started with a base of two coats of Girly Bits I Beg Your Garden?, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals using Star 113, applied them on top.  Unfortunately, they aren't the best.  Even though the black outline sat for 24 hours, it still smeared when I did the fill in with the white polish.  I tried not to load the brush too much nor dry brush across the outline but obviously I did something as still has a little smear.  *sigh*  This happen before on other Easter mani's; maybe one year I'll get it right!  I didn't apply the image that well on the index finger either; I wanted them all to look the same but failed even with clear stampers!  The other thing was the decals were brittle as I did the outline 48 hours before I wore them and then filled them in 24 hours before I wore them; they were dry and brittle and cracked in a couple spots when the decals were applied.  I'll have to remember to apply them sooner next time to try to avoid the cracks.

For the ring finger, I removed all the lines to leave the space for the words.

Topped accent with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Shadow stamped words from UC Yay Spring! on accent nail then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish  but unfortunately, the shadow wasn't as tight as I would prefer and also had a little tc smear

Have a pleasant Good Friday, long weekend if you are an essential worker and #stayhome!
