Jack-O-Lanterns!

One of my favourite things to do lately is stamping over a magnetic base, although I might not have shared many, if any, posts using magnetic polishes.  But I have been working with them, trying to figure out how to get the different looks, buying up all the different magnets, etc.  I'm not sure if this was a fail or not; it looked better in my mind and much better in real life.

Started with a base of OPI Onyx, no top coat.

Topped with Cirque Chemistry (magnetic).

I did one coat on all fingers, then topped each finger and magnetized them one by one for the glass bead look.  I wouldn't say it magnetized that well as it didn't have the designed glass bead look.  More like the velvet look, but anyway, I went with it.  And I should add that I don't believe this is an issue with the polish, just me moreso trying to figure out how the spinner and the magnets work, with the polishes.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Delaney Halloween A001 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  A couple of the images were resized using the resizing stamper.

Once the stamping polish had dried a bit, topped with New York Summer Hot Orange.  This was really one of the only orange jelly polishes I have although it was more coverage than I wanted, but still OK.  I was hoping to see the magnetizing a bit more.  But I think these look vintage a little.  Do you see it?

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next day, the jelly shrunk a little, leaving a black ring abound the orange polish (more apparent IRL, but hopefully you can see it) and I thought it was a cool look.  As I'm typing this post, I wish I had of used a matte topcoat as I think this would add to the vintage look a bit, but it will have to be next time!

 Thanks for looking!
