While I have snowflakes on my mani today, I'm not especially looking forward to the snow. Not that I mind snow itself, its just that I'm not a fan of driving in it. Not that I mind my driving in it...its everyone else on the roads who don't know how to drive for the conditions that irritates me! The worst offenders are those who drive way too slow when there's a minimal amount of snow on the ground to those who drive way to fast when its slick. My commute to work goes from 30 minutes to 2 hours when it snows...even an inch or two. My area has only seen a few flakes so far which haven't even stayed on the ground! I'd really like to see snow on Christmas Eve as its always magical to me having a nice gentle snowfall then...but after that, I can take it or leave it.
Anyway, onto the snowflake mani I'm wearing today which looks like this.
Two coats of Cosmetic Arts in.....something. I'll call it cornflower blue for lack of a name! Cosmetic Arts polishes have been popping up at various Winners in my area. So great to have more polish options and Winners is a mecca for polishes lately!
Topped with a coat of NYX Girls Turks & Caicos. I started this mani on Saturday night. When I went to bed, it looked this this.
Sunday morning, I took a pix outside (it was overcast); you can see the glitter from Turks & Caicos a little better in the daylight.
Sunday night, I stamped it using Konad white and sky blue special polishes using IP's SdP C-12 and SdP 8.
This morning, I took another pix outside so you can see how the glitter looks underneath a little bit better in the daylight.
Are you looking forward to the snow...or not!
Thanks for looking!
that looks gorgeous! I have been thinking about doing snowflake mani, but I don´t want to do it before we have snow here in Estonia. I am looking forward to snow, beacuse I´m not very fond of this dark, rainy and muddy weather.
ReplyDeleteI love this manicure!
ReplyDeleteBut like you, I am not looking forward to the snow. In fact, I'm dreading it. I'm a relatively new driver so this will be my first year of driving in the snow and I'm not looking forward to it at all!
Love it--very wintery! And now I think I need that NYX (I already wanted some snowflake plates).
ReplyDeleteWe've already had a few snowy commutes here, and it was not pretty. The only time I've ever had a vehicle totaled by an insurance company, it was due to an idiot who wasn't driving sensibly in the snow. (Fortunately the truck took almost all the damage; I was mostly fine though mightily pissed off.)
I love it! The glitter adds a little special sparkle to it! It hasn't snowed much where I am yet, which is odd, because usually we've had a few snow days at this point already. It's rainy and gross right now, I just want snow already!!
ReplyDeleteI really love blue + snowflake combos. Amazing!
ReplyDeletei loooove this mani! i'm so impatient to do anything within 3 days! lol. i wish it snowed here in FL. i've never seen it :{
ReplyDeletei'm not really looking forward to the snow but my girls are excited about it.
ReplyDeletelove this - beautiful combos xx
ReplyDeleteawww adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWhee, so pretty!! :D
ReplyDeleteLOVE this. And I totally know how you feel about the commute. My bf drives from Whitby to North York every day and in good weather it takes him like an hour to an hour & a half, and we live about 25-30 minutes away..I can only imagine it in snow!
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes are amazing!! I can't wait for us to get snow here. Love this mani!
ReplyDeletexoxox

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful base color! I really love denim-y blue cremes like this :D
ReplyDeleteGreat manicure! Just today I made a manicure with snowflakes! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it, love the base and the glitter too :) I like snow but we don't have much snow here in Holland (we did last year around this time, but now it's only rain)
