Digit-al Dozen Does Childhood; Day 1

Welcome back to Digit-al Dozen week!  This weeks theme is childhood!  I think some gals will be sharing about childhood generally and others about their own childhood, which is what I'm going to be doing all week too!  I'm sure there will be some fantatic nails!  This is my Day 1 mani featuring my beloved Mrs. Beasley who was a doll that I had when I was young; I'm guessing when I was around 6 or 7ish?  Mrs. Beasley had a pull cord in her back and I remember being so upset when she fell in a puddle when I was playing with her outside and she didn't talk no more!

I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect blue to match; and hopefully found it with a base of p2 191 Gigantic, two coats, no top coat.

Added coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping.

Stamped using Marianne n51 using Mundo de Unas #1.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top. (Love the look of this; need to redo some day!)

Marianne Nails n51

MoYou Sailor Collection-06

Added an image from MoYou Sailor Collection-06 to mimic yellow trim from Mrs. Beasley using Mundo de Unas 11 then top coated to finish.

Here's the other ladies Day 1 childhood nails!

An InLinkz Link-up

These nails bring back so many childhood memories...but what I remember most about Mrs. Beasley is the other girls teasing me about having her!  But I thought she was the best at the time!

Thanks for looking!

  1. Awwwhhhh it's just like Mrs. Beasley's dress. I'm sorry she stopped talking to you when you were little. Sucks when our favourite toys break eh?

  2. Oh my goodness these are super cute! Cute nails and cute doll!

  3. Love that blue with the white polka dots! Very pretty!

  4. We're showing our age - dolls don't look like that anymore! lol

  5. Mrs Beasley!! She was such an amazing doll!!!

  6. I love these colors! That! Your doll looks so familiar. I don't think I had one but someone in my family did....hmmmmm!

  7. Love the blue polish you used! I had the same incident happen to one of my favorite toys. I'm pretty sure I cried for an entire week!

  8. I wasn't really familiar with this doll but you did an excellent re-creation of the dress!

  9. Such a gorgeous blue polish and a sweet inspiration! I can't wait to read more about your childhood this week :)

  10. I think I remember seeing this doll somewhere maybe on TV? Maybe the Brady bunch? It's going to bug me now. Great look though!

  11. That blue is amazing!! I've never heard of this doll!

  12. These are so pretty! I love that blue you used so much!
