Flakies !!

Here I'm layering with flakies again and I think they turned out pretty cool!  I layered over both dark and light polishes and they both look pretty cool!

Started with a base of two coats each of Essie Waterfall in Love (darker colour) with accent nails of Essie Ripple Effect (lighter colour) no top coat.

Topped the darker Essie with Polished for Days Esperance, and the lighter Essie with Fancy Gloss Let's Be Friends (PPU April 2021).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Infinity Nails 44 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Waves!

As usual, I'm a little late to these trendy nails that have been shares for a while now.  But I do really like them and have done a few mani's now with this look but I think this was the first one; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of KBShimmer Jewels of the Trade, no top coat.

Added waves from Nicole Diary 27 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Then added palm leaves using same Nicole Diary 27 plate using MdU 91.  Added dots using Nicole Diary 205 and 206 using MdU 91.  I'm not sure why I stamped them and didn't use a dotting tool, but I did.  

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Welcome Spring!

Spring has officially arrived and I'm ushering it in with these spring nails!  And for those who have been reading my nail journey the last few days, these are my nails right now.  The index finger still hasn't grown out but I believe it will be soon.  Still doesns't stop me from doing my nails but just isn't that pretty to look at.  I'll be glad to have these nails issues behind me soon!

Started with a base of Glisten & Glow Sea The Beauty in Everyday, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with a thin coat of Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish Dusk in the Pines; this was a December 2022 PPU offering.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Clear Jelly Stamper CjS V-37 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Using same plate, stamped centers using MdU 43.

Did the floral outlines using same plate using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I did a pretty good job on the outlines, except the index.

Added shadow stamped words from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Spring has arrived but we still have winter weather.  Here's to hoping spring weather is around the corner.

Blues!

If you've followed my blog for a while, you may have noticed the nails that I share are much different from years ago.  In that, I've been sharing simple stamping for the last couple years.  There is a reason for this, one I will probably share at some time, just not now.  But the easiest explanation is that life is just too busy to spend 2-3 hours at night doing my nails but I still have a love of polish and stamping.  So I change my nails, and doing some simple stamping is what happens most of the time.  I still do more complicated nails for holidays and if by chance I have more time some evening but for the most part, they look a lot like this.  It's all I can do at this time.  Hopefully, this may chance, but for now, it's what I have to do.  The other thing is I only take around 10 pictures of each mani now, when I used to take maybe 100.  As I blog for the simple enjoyment of doing my nails, and I'm not doing sponsored, PR or ad nails, I don't need to have the absolute perfect shot so am just taking enough pix that I have to document the mani.  This mani, I took 15 pix and these are the ones that made the cut.

Stamped using Marianne Nails n.05 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Started with a base of two coats of Stella Chroma Mistletoe Kisses, with a few extra coats at the tips.

Stamped using MdU Irish 1 (ring and thumb), Lantern & Wren A Wee Bit Irish (middle) and Clear Jelly Stamper CjS H-50 on the rest.  Green is MdU 52 and white is Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished layering on the shamrock nails using CjS H-50 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Shadow stamped on ring and thumb using same plates and MdU 52.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

St. Patrick's Nails

Another St. Patrick's mani with some double stamped shamrocks, although not that well!  Haha!  But they look good from a distance!

Polishes used, starting at thumb and going clockwise, are Chance Nail Lacquer 79, Chance Nail Lacquer 80, Pretty & Polished If Hyruled the Work, Lollipop Posse Lacquer Justice and Essie Willow on the Wind.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Uber Chic UC mini: St. Patrick's Day on thumb, and MoYou London Festive 75 on the rest using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Used MdU 39 on all fingers but thumb for some double stamping.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
